Excellent, Instructive, and offer tons of models and ideas........1999-09-23

This was my first investment when I started this hobby. (I paid 19.95 plus tax) Though now the book is 7.95 I don't regret what I paid. It has been worth every penny of it. This book contains so many samples and templates to be copied and used over and over again. The book also has so many detailed explinations and actual projects. Instructions are so cleared and the stories are so vivid that and refreshing that made the whole process of starting my first book and extrem trill and motivation. All I could say humbling is that the book is marvelous and very helpful and educational.

In this important new book, Bob Jessop offers a radical new interpretation of capitalist states and their likely future development. He focuses on the changing forms, functions, scales and effectiveness of economic and social policy that have emerged since the 1950s in advanced western capitalist states. The postwar Keynesian welfare national state that developed in most advanced capitalist societies has long been regarded as being in crisis. Mounting tensions have been generated by technological change, globalization, and economic and political crises, and new social and political movements have also had a destabilizing impact. Jessop examines these factors in relation to the rise, consolidation and crisis of Atlantic Fordism and asks whether a new type of capitalist state that is currently emerging offers a solution. He notes that there are several difficulties still to be overcome before the new type of state is consolidated; in particular, he is critical of its neoliberal form and considers its main alternatives. This book will have broad cross-disciplinary appeal. It will be read by sociologists, political scientists, institutional economists, geographers and students of social policy.

From the author: This paper develops a dynamic stochastic model of the BFH payments system with versions consistent with new classical and new Keynesian assumptions about aggregate supply. John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946) was without question the most influential economist of the twentieth century. His most important work, The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money, was published in 1936, and it was widely perceived as offering plausible explanations and solutions for the Great Depression. Keynes suggested that capitalism is vulnerable to instability caused by insufficient consumer demand. He emphasized the reluctance of workers to accept reductions in nominal wages, preventing free market adjustments to unemployment. Based on these and other perceived defects in the capitalist system, Keynes suggested government intervention in the economy, and modern politicians have accepted and applied Keynesian ideas with great enthusiasm.

This is a small, little 'no-frills' book...more precisely, a booklet! My copy is actually a badly-stitched photostatic copy from the publisher. Fortunately, the contents of the book outweighed the book's poor aesthetics.

The 32 pages of the book are jam-packed with appropriate advice for anyone who wants to go into business for himself as fast as possible with the least risk, time and money.

In 9 easy steps, and the help of many thoughtful questions as a checklist, the author shows you how to spot and evaluate simple business opportunities, in addition to explaining to you the various types or configurations of business opportunities available in today's marketplace.

1: What are the available facts?
2: How to give it an acid test?
3: Who will buy the product or service?
4: Who are my competitors?
5: What and how do I need to invest?
6: How to avoid front loading?
7: What are the supports available?
8: Who are these people?
9: How are they financially?

In a nut shell, the whole system from the author is actually very simple and straight-forward.

Get a copy. You can successfully evaluate simple business opportunities with power and confidence.
