The twelve astrologers that analyze Joyce's birth chart are true masters, titans of modern day astrology. I had no idea there were so many valid ways to approach a chart. I believe I learned more from reading this book than I have from the last 17 years of studying astrology. The author also presents some unique and compelling arguments for a causal basis of astrology. There is no doubt that Under One Sky will be required reading for students of all serious astrological institutions and organizations

Twelve Astrologers In One Volume.......2004-05-29

This book is a wonderful exploration of the many facets and formats of astrology, from the simple to the sublime. I had no idea there were so many different traditions, from A (asteroid-centered) to V (vedic)!

Providing Joyce's biography -- after all the astrologers had submitted their readings, of course -- was a stroke of genius. It lets the reader compare the accuracy of the blind readings with the actual events of her life.

I would recommend Under One Sky to beginners and professional astrologers alike. Everyone who picks it up will learn something from it.

Astrology Revealed.......2004-04-12

I had no idea there were so many different fields of astrology - so many different ways of reading a chart. Although I felt that Joyce's bio was a bit long, it was well written and gives you a good idea of who she is, and what her life has been like. So when you read each astrologer's interpretation of her chart, you can immediately recognize an accurate reading of that aspect of her personality/life. After interpreting a part of Joyce's chart, the astrologers tell us which planetary aspect led them to their conclusions in that area, which I found interesting, even though I recognized half of the planetary names and the charts look like Greek to me. I especially enjoyed "The Astrologer's Forum", where each of the 12 astrologers answers questions relating to astrology, consciousness, karma, reincarnation, fate, etc. After reading the book, I was so impressed with one of the astrologers, I made an appointment for a phone reading. I won't tell which one, I think it took a lot of guts to do a "blind reading" for publication, and admire them all.

The photographs of Margo Davis in "Under One Sky" place us right in the physical presence of her subjects. One feels their joy, their calmness, the weight of their tiredness, their intensity, their pride, their focussed meditation. These emotions come through the portraits cleanly and undisguised.

Davis gives us a fresh and intimate look at the world through the people she photographs. The direct gaze of the subjects and the framing of the images, which includes enough of their surroundings, but not too much, takes us into their element. And, the collection of people and places in this book broadens our world.

The foreword by Margaretta Mitchell provides substantial insight into Davis' development and philosophy as a photograher. The foreword also clearly articulates the challenges and ability to express that are unique to portrait photography.

Davis' "Photographer's Essay" and "Notes on Photographs" take us further into her life as a photographer and into the lives of the portraits subjects. Interesting reading.

I've already purchased and given to friends several copies of this beautiful book, and I will buy more. It is a gorgeous and timeless volume.

This book introduced me to a cast of unforgettable people--real human beings in all their complexity and simplicity. Zoglin tells it straight. She simply shows us what she saw, describing in astute, unsentimental detail the land and the people she experienced without trivializing or sensationalizing her subjects. I loved taking this journey.

I thought this was a very enjoyable book. It was a nice combination of short stories, poetry, songs, memoirs, and legends. It was both informative and entertaining at the same time. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes to read Native literature.

Apparently, Ms. Drucker did not read the Introduction of this book where it clearly states it is a ready-reference guide. This book is not a manual, but a quick tool to refer to. The forms are good for those who do not have anything to start with as the Introduction also states. I was impressed with the book's straightforwardness and it was easy to understand. I liked the book and it help me get started and pointed me in the right direction. Thanks!!!

Just a collection of forms.......2005-02-10

Wow, I can't remember ever being so disappointed in a purchase. As a prospect research manager, I purchased this book to help in training a new research assistant. There is no information in this book on how to do prospect research; it is basically a collection of forms, plenty of which are included in Cynthia Hogan's superb book on the same subject. The above review was obviously written by the writer or publisher. Don't waste your money.
