Scott Joplin best of Ragtime.......2000-06-19

This is an excellent collection of Scott's waltz's, marches and most of his rag's. For more selections of his rag's I suggest the book Scott Joplin's Complete Piano Rags. It is avaliable from Amazon also. Both of these books will give the pianist a very good selection of his songs to play at an intermediate to advanced level. Still missing A Real Slow Drag though. If you are a ragtime enthusiast check out the Ragtime festival in Sedalia Missouri around the first of June each year. It is excellent.

Scott Joplin best of ragtime.......2000-06-10

This is an excellent and well written book of Scott's rags, waltz's and marches. It has more of the marches and waltz's than the other book I highly recommend (Complete Piano Rags) that has more of the Rag's such as two or my favorites the Pineapple Rag and the Paragon Rag. Both of these books can be oredered through Amazon.

the book is the reprint of a number of articles published by the author over time. It is well written, and the information is definitely of high calibre. It is however best used by limit holdem players; as no limit holdem strategy differs widely from limit strategy.
With that proviso in mind, i think those interested will find their dollars recieve fair value from the author.

In each chapter, Cooke focuses on one hand. He lays out the scene, how the hand played out, and what his thought process was on each hand.
His goal is to make as much money as possible on his winners, and to lose as little as possible on his losers (a good goal).
While sometimes he may come across as a bit of a know-it-all, this is an invaluable book that addresses many of the issues poker players face at the felt, including Pot Odds, Implied Odds, how to play in loose games v. tight games, short-handed v. full games, and more.
Each chapter is about 3 pages, making this an ideal book for those who don't often have large chunks of time to devote to reading.
If you play Limit Hold 'Em and want to make more money, buy this book, put it in your bathroom, and read one chapter a day. Your game will be better for it.

All of these writers do a 'good' job but in the case of the third story, I found it a bit weaker than the other two authored by Douglas and Danes. Lacy Danes story of a dragon is amusing and moves along at a fast clip. I'd give her 4 stars for originality. If you like a fantasy type romance and you can put aside disbelief for a while (I'm a cynic and I managed) then you'll enjoy these stories. I'll look for the rest of the series but I'll be cautious in my purchase. At $10 for a large bound volume, I'm not quite sure it isn't worth waiting for on the used market.

I know they say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and I don't, but when I saw this I knew I had to have it. The cover image is so sexy, an unbelievably physically attractive man. Throughout the book I would keep looking at the image on the cover and imagine him in the story and it made me go all goosy. It has had an influence on the relationship I have with my husband and also on how I see him physically and in my minds eye, I see him as the guy on the cover, hugely macho, manly, muscular, and with a manhood that he could uproot trees with.

I do like the almost surreal atmosphere of the book and I know this kind of style is very popular at the moment. It gives erotica a new and heightened flavour. This is the thinking person's erotica. This is my first Sexy Beast book, indeed my first book by Kate Douglas, but looking at the website I see the covers of all of them have pictures of these delightful examples of manhood. So I will make it my quest to allow all of them to give me pleasure.

We have indulged in a fair bit of erotic literature just lately, mainly of the short storey genre, such as the excellent Five Minute Erotica and the even more excellent 100 Percent Erotica by Suzie Van Aartman, of which someone said, they had to change their underwear after reading, and I can believe it. It's wildly sexy.

Sexy beast, this is excellent, I want more. Thank you Kate.
