Good, But Not the Best, Resource on Harrison Fisher.......2001-08-10
I am a devotee of Harrison Fisher.
This will certainly be one of the books you will want to add to your reference section on Harrison Fisher, but it's not the best.
Some of the shortcomings for this book are:
1) It does not come in hardcover
2) Too many of the illustrations are in black & white
3) Many of the illustrations are not named and/or the source is not given.
4) Many of the pages are cluttered with too many illustrations which are pictured too small.
Naomi Welch's "The Complete Works of Harrison Fisher" is the superior reference on Harrison Fisher's works. Welch's biography on Harrison Fisher is more extensive; the bio in this one is disappointing.
However, so few reference works exist on Harrison Fisher that there should be room on your bookshelf for this one. It has a nice length, good number of illustrations, and it's more inexpensive than "The Complete Works".
It has satisfactory coverage of Fisher's illustrations.

IF you find that you are buying the popular Victorian Ladies note cards and collecting antique victorian ladies prints, then you will love this book. I found all the ladies that I collected over the years plus a whole lot of others. Plus Amozon's prices is much cheaper than other companies Fisher Victorian Ladies books.
A Great Primer for Harrison Fisher's Art.......2000-03-29
This profusely illustrated book is a great companion for the collector of Harrison Fisher's work or Edwardian graphics. Devotees of turn of the century costume will also find a wealth of source material in this book. Well written and researched, this is a great primer for the beginning collector.

Good Clean Humor.......2005-05-14
Martha Bolton is one of those people who seems to see the humorous side of just about everything.
This book is for all of us who are over 40 and especially for women entering or experiencing menopause. All the physical and mental changes that come with aging can be depressing, but Ms Bolton shows how we can choose to look at the humorous side of it. She encourages the reader to accept and even chuckle at every new wrinkle and sagging body part.
This book is full of holsum, good-natured fun, and clean enough to give to your grandmother. Reading even one chapter a day is sure to help you out of the doldrums and remind you that God meant life to be enjoyed.
I enjoyed this book and hope to find more like it because I never want to outgrow a good laugh.

This is a great followup to Martha's earlier book on laughing your way through middle age, "Didn't My Skin Used to Fit?" I laughed until I cried...and when I went to get a tissue, I couldn't remember why I was crying. If you suffer from memory loss or flappy arms, you'll love this book.

As usual, Martha Bolton offers humor and fun with a message! Either I was smiling, laughing out loud or nodding in agreement about her humorous take on getting older. Her words encouraged me to know I'm not alone and to grow older with grace and joy!

Michael Schelle's book is an absolute "must have" for anyone interested in film music. He is an established concert composer himself so he knows what to ask. The questions and dialogue are really first rate. This is the sort of interaction one hopes for in any interview book. Michael Schelle really communicates!

I found Michael Schelle's book to be both engaging and fascinating. He manages to "get inside" the composers he interviews, to earn their trust and respect, and to establish a "composer to composer" connection with them. They respond by opening up to him with inside information on the Hollywood music scene that makes for fascinating reading for anyone interested in music and/or film. I highly recommend this book.

I was very impressed with the intensity of the research and detail of this book. The author takes you chronologically through Alice's career, focussing on recordings, tours, film and television and books. He goes bit by bit, album by album, single by single, and fills each entry with loads of detail. Minutiae including who played what, on which song, how the song did on the charts, variation in design, dates, formats, catalogue numbers, trivia-pretty much everything I wanted to know about Alice's output from 1964 to 1998. The book is split into five periods: 1964-74, 1975-79, 1980-82, 1984-1990, and 1991-1998. It is chock full of photos (many of which I had never seen before) both in black and white and in color and information (much of which I didn't know). It is a fascinating read for the Alice Cooper fan, and written so it can be read like a book (I read it cover to cover the first day I got it), or used as a reference guide (I have referred to it many times since). I can't recommend it enough for anyone who has questions about Alice or his music. This book answers it all.

This book is jam packed of any and every item imaginable on Alice. It is an amazingly informative as well. Each item is described in such detail you literally get lost in it.Has lots and lots of photos of the merchandise.Has rare bootlegs etc,too. Don't hestitate on getting this one. It is a winner!

this book is very well done.the focus is on tour dates,where he played,what city,etc. in addition,it has some text about who the band members were,tv shows and special events,bootlegs,and much more.it is not a dedicated history to the man--but more a sleek year by year diary from the 70s to the 90s--in fact,reading this really makes you want to see alice live!i found it to be concise and a pleasure to read.very well researched!

The day after I bought it my boss asked me to build a priority matrix. I didn't bat an eyelash. I went back to my desk and 15 minutes later I emailed him a priority matrix for our project. I had to get this for an MBA class I am currently taking. It provides summaries and examples of common business tools in a small package. It's a great reference guide. I didn't do a lot of searching, but for the little searching I did, Amazon had the lowest price.

This book is set up for anyone to have many tools for them to use at anytime. It has flowcharting, public speaking, many diagrams, and several team based exercises to help become better. In the front of the book it has a tool selector, and it takes some of the guess work out of tool selection.This is just one of many great books this company offers. Our copmany uses several of these in our professional training with our clients. This is a really good book for those looking for continuous improvement. The Memory Jogger Plus is an excellent book also and has many great tools and other goodies.
