I bought this book because I have "met" Donna Barstow; well, sort of. Anyway, that's not the point...she's a great cartoonist, so when I found out she was one of the authors to this funny book, I bought it! You should buy it too. Really, you should...go ahead, it's really easy. With the click of your mouse, voila!! See? Now wasn't that easy?

I own several books of cartoons, but this one has quickly become one of my favorites. This is an absolute hoot for the pet owner. The only problem I had with the magazine is that you have to know famous "brand names" fairly well in order to understand a lot of the jokes it subtly offers.

With references to "Ives Saint Bernard" and "Canine Klein," and pictorals of "supermodel" doggies, readers will find themselves highly amused.

I first found out about Philip Nemy through allexperts.com, where I contacted him in regards to getting into films, etc. for my daughter as she has being doing commercials and a few extra jobs on films but only locally in San Francisco. I wanted to find out more about getting into more of a principal role, etc. Philip Nemy was wonderful, answered all my questions, etc., and recommended his book to get more information. This book is a very valuable tool for anyone wanting to get into the motion picture industry whether it be as an actor, writer, director, etc.! This book covers every aspect of the industry, provides you with basically a step-to-step guide on what you need to do. No one could ask for a better book!

If you are serious about a career in the motion picture industry, no matter what aspect of the industry, I would highly recommend you purchase this book as this man knows his stuff! He use to work for Disney pictures and has now started his own company. He provides great insight into this industry!

Some good, some a bit lacking, but all fun to play........2001-06-12

This was the first Tori book I bought and I was not at all disappointed. First of all, the songs included are Cornflake Girl, Blood Roses, Silent All These Years, Icicle, Caught A Lite Sneeze, Over The Rainbow, Hey Jupiter, and In The Springtime Of His Voodoo. The transcriptions of Over The Rainbow, Cornflake Girl, Caught A Lite Sneeze, Hey Jupiter, and Icicle are absolutely superb. Although many people disagree with the practice of putting the melody into the accompaniment, as a pianist who cannot sing, I am thankful for it -- all of the songs other than Hey Jupiter double as piano solos for those of us who don't want to desecrate Tori's songs by trying to sing them. ;) On the other hand, In The Springtime Of His Voodoo is just about unbearable with its piano lines stripped down to, at most times, one or two notes and doesn't come close to the LP recording. The other songs are all moderately well-done. I would recommend this book on the whole, however, as the rhythms are great and flow nicely and the songs are definitely fun to play, especially if you can find someone to sing with you. I'm not at all sorry I bought it.

I personally enjoyed the extra added pictures in this book. I am always dissapointed in the transcriptions because there dampen to Tori's ad lib. but, I guess it Lies in the conscience of the editor whom transcribed the music. However, you will not be disappointed with "Over the Rainbow", which is the only song you cannot find in any other Tori Amos Song Books. She played it exactly the way its written on the MTV Unplugged Segment. Other songs included are: Cornflake Girl, Blood Roses, Silent All These Years, Icicle, Caught A Lite Sneeze, Hey Jupiter, and In The Spring Time Of His Voodoo.

Love the woman.......2004-07-24

Every time me and hubby have a drink we play Allanis music. The first concert our daughter seen was her in Edmonton. Never read any book but we love her music. One wish in life would be to share 2 bottles of wine and talk about her lirics, with her of course. I worked with a womans shelter for 7 years and used her music as an instruntment. 47 years old and I think she is so informntivated. Anyways if she ever wants to come to the mountains, she is welcome to stay at my house. Bare bone people.

I'm a big fan of Alanis Morisette. I think she has incredible talent. But I especially like this book because it is Mtv unplugged, so it contains the more melodic songs, and even more melodic versions of some of the great ones like "You Oughta Know". All in all, I think it is an excellent choice for any pianist/Alanis fan.

The World of Greyhawk, one of TSR's first and most popular AD&D game settings, is revisited in the Player's Guide to Greyhawk, an accessory that will be appreciated by old fans of Greyhawk who wish to return to this exciting milieu and by newer gamers who have yet to experience it.

This accessory includes an introduction to the world of Oerth; an overview of the Flanaess (the continent central to Greyhawk adventures), a section of gods and other political and supernatural powers; information on the city of Greyhawk itself; notes on the various races of the game world; special information on roleplaying in the Flanaess; "Adventuring Attractions in the Central Flanaess" (i.e., the vicinity of Greyhawk City); and several player character kits, three of them for orders of knighthood.

Graphic elements include a double-sided, 11" x 17" cardstock insert that features a full color map of the Flanaess on one side and the domain of the city of Greyhawk on the other. The "Player's Guide to Greyhawk" is a well written, concise book about the history, peoples, politics, and other topics regarding the World of Greyhawk, and more specifically, the City of Greyhawk. I wish that it had more material on other places in the WoG, but overall it is a superb book that will give any player insight to the races and history that makes Greyhawk so special compared to other bland forgotten realms.

An Excellent Primer on Trusts.......2006-09-29

Martin Shenkman has written an excellent primer on trusts. He helps the reader understand which assets should be transferred to a trust, what the legalities are, the limitations of trusts, and most importantly, how structuring trusts effectively can assist with saving taxes and assuring your family is taken care of in the manner you desire. Be advised, this is not a book that will help you write your own trusts. Shenkeman is clear that effective planning really requires coordination among the financial professionals that you trust--your attorney, CPA, financial planner, insurance broker etc. However, if you are thinking about setting up trusts and you read this book, you will be positioned to have an intelligent and productive conversation with your financial team members. You will be part of your team, part of the decision making process, and not a passive bystander to the planning that affects your life and the life of those you love.

I would also say that The Complete Book of Trusts, is a great book for any professional who is working in this area. His observations, insights and specific analysis make his book an excellent reference tool. It is definitely a book for your library.

Great reference book for new practitioners!.......2004-11-12

I have only purchased this book tonight, yet not on Amazon.com. I actually went to Borders and paid full price. Reason being, I could not wait to get my hands on a reference book to help me conceptualize projects and cases that I presently deal with at work as a new estate and tax planning attorney. I hear about ABC trusts, GST trusts, Living Trusts, just to name a few, every day. Yet I don't have the slightest idea about the particular mechanics of many of these valuable estate planning and tax saving tools.

I have only begun to read this book, but so far it has impressed me with its clarity and simplicity in explaining the particulars of the different types of trusts available. It is great for someone like myself who is beginning to practice law in this area. Additionally, I would recommend this book to a law student interested in entering this field or one who is currently taking a trusts and estates course.

A word of caution, this is not a book to assist you with drafting your own trust. Although it is a good prep material with which to study up on before consulting with an attorney. In my short experience, clients with at least some knowledge of what is available to them benefit more from the time spent with lawyers and consultants who will actually draft their trusts and related documents.

I also recommend this book to people that are wary of attorneys and who are intimated by the complex jargon of the legal industry. The more one knows about what trusts are available and which may be more advantageous, the likelier they will feel confident in their estate planning documents.

Written in Legaleeze...got a better book for you.......2000-05-28

Read "Beyond the Grave, The Right Way and the Wrong Way of Leaving Money to Your Children" instead of this book or before you read this book. I bought both and gave up on this book after a couple chapters. It was a struggle to get through. Very dry, written like a tech manual, a real sleeper. Go read the reviews on Amazon for Condon's book before deciding which one to order. Trust me, you want the other book.

The Cmplete Book of Trusts is an excellent reference for general knowledge about a very cmplex subject! I highly recommend this book to anyone with a need to know. This author has managed to take the "legal" language and break it down into understandable English!
