New Love, Old Problems Part 5.......2006-04-14
Momo and Kiley have just prevented Sae from engaging in prostitution with an elder client. When she tries to sell Momo a skin whitening product afterwards the suspicions are raised as to what exactly Ryo has her doing for him. Toji discovers via the internet that Ryo is involved with a serious pyramid scheme and has basically enlisted Sae to make the money for him, no matter what she has to do.
Momo's relationship has it's stops and starts too... on the one hand she wants to allow him his space so that he can mourn the loss of his true love, Nurse Misao, but on the other hand she wants him to only desire her... even if she is still not quite ready to give into his sexual desires. When he asks her to work with him at a convenience store so that they can raise the money for their special trip she resigns herself to it, but halfheartedly.
Then things spice up again as Sae gets involved in a porno video that she is blissfully ignorant of, and the only reason Momo knows what it is because Kiley has seen the people involved in porno movies. They must stop her from making a terrible mistake, even if Sae has never been the nicest person to Momo.
I can't stop reading this series. It's wonderful, and just the right kind of drama without being overblown that really makes a manga series wonderful. Pick it up... but beware, this series causes dire addictions...you won't be able to wait to find out what is happening next.
Fans of the series will be pleasantly surprised.......2004-01-05
Once again, it is up to Momo to save Sae. But this book is different, it ends in an actually quite surprising way. If you were getting sick of Sae's thoughtless, evil antics then this book is the antidote. It offers some new, surprising twists and is definetly worth the read if you've been following the series.
OMG! This was so great.......2003-12-16
Peach Girl is my favorite manga. The characters seem so real and so do the situations. Even though this one seems to be centered around Sae the ending is a real cliffhanger. I couldn't believe what Kiley did! I can't wait till the next one!

From the supplier: San Diego County, CA is creating a regional plant and wildlife preservation system that could serve as a model for other communities and for the nation. The plan includes San Diego County, 18 municipalities and the San Diego Association of Governments in the such largest program so far attempted. The San Diego region includes a great variety of habitats, including coastal, forest desert and grasslands. The various groups worked together to create habitat maps and design preserve systems. Steps in the process included research, mapping and gap analysis.

A look at the mythology created by GWTW in England........1999-09-15
This is an interesting examination of how fascination with Gone With the Wind has affected the lives of women in Britain. But the book has accurate and enlightening biographies of the stars as well, and an examination of issues presented by both film and novel. A good read for anyone interested in this novel as a phenomenon of pop culture.

Piano Technique: Tone, Touch, Phrasing and Dynamics.......2005-02-24
HIghly detailed, with photographs of the hand, and specific exercises to help many problems of transition, phrasing and dynamics, this book offers a wealth of sophisticated informatin for the attentive learner. You must be willing to use the finger numbering system, and try!
Dangerous to your health!.......2002-05-25
This book is based on traditional piano pedagogy wherein knowledge is passed from respected master to student, from generation to generation without ever attempting to prove anything using the scientific method. After all, the proof is in the playing...right?
The book contains no references to any type of statistics, scientific research or experiments. As well the reader will find no discussion of the underlying anatomy or physiology. This book abounds with advice, which contradicts the scientific conclusions of modern functional anatomy.
Many exercises are presented which are meaningless without proper "how to" instructions. There may be other useful information in this book but I was only concerned with the physical aspects of playing....
Customer Reviews:
Let's review the book Pandolfini DID write!.......2002-03-02
I think that the negative reviews here are based on the assumption that Pandolfini tried to write a different kind of
book but somehow failed. It's not a book of "checkmate puzzles"
(although there are 70 of these)but, as its subtitle says, of elementary checkmating strategies. Its purpose is to show how a game develops from the opening to the point where one side is able to force mate. The 70 short games with light notes are not intended for the advanced player, but for those under USCF 1400 or so. For this purpose, it's an excellent book. Sure, more advanced players should look elsewhere, but so what?
Fools Mate!.......2002-01-10
If you got this book you fell into Fool's Mate! Basically this book is 300 pages and only has 70 puzzles ;)... So tell me if you think that is a bit cheesy :)... He fills in spaces with some bad annotations. I find it funny for a no talent bum like him to annotate games. Like what did Pandolfini ever do, I never see his games in databases. I search for openings and I can't recall seeing any of his games ever. Yet this no talent bum writes book after book. Charges I hear 200 dollars an hour to be a chess coach. You can learn more about mating from Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess to be honest. Basically this book is an essential checkmate of your wallet. It is priced to make people who are cheap to consider buying this book. Basically its 70 game collection trying to pass itself off as a book on mating. So it is up to you what you decide to do with your well earned or ill gotten cash. Basically I have about 100 chess books, so you decide who you listen to. Really matters not to me, what you end up doing. Waste your time on this book, ......
For my money, the perfect chess book.......2001-07-02
I enjoy playing through short games, and games that end in checkmate. That is the kind of games this book has, with the added bonus that the author pauses to give the reader a chance to figure out how the checkmate is accomplished. I keep hoping there will be a "More Power Mates " soon!
A Powerful Lot of Pages for a Paltry Few Problems.......2000-07-02
Pandolfini manages to squeeze only 70 mating problems into a book of over 300 pages. He does this by giving a lightly annotated score of each of the games in which the mating positions arose (or could have arisen). If you're looking for a game collection, you can find much better analysis in other books (E.g. Bronsteins "200 Open Games" and Euwe's "Chess Master vs. Chess Amateur"). If you're looking for instruction on how to achieve checkmate, Renaud & Kahn's "Art of the Checkmate" or Koltanowski & Finkelstein's "Checkmate!" will serve you better. If you're looking for mating problems, Fred Reinfeld got 300 problems into only 111 pages in "How to Force Checkmate." 300 problems into 119 pages in "Win at Chess," and a whopping 1001 problems into 224 pages in "1001 Brilliant Ways to Checkmate."
How to flow (and pin)!.......2000-04-26
I have over 15 chess books and I can truly say that this is the only one that is the most FUN! I approached the 70 games in this book by studying one game per day over & over (what's 2 months! ). Through reading this book, I really got a much better concept of one of my martial arts concepts: use the flow. I really wasn't looking for that at all, but by the time I got to the third game "the flow" of how to reach checkmate just hit me like that big ocean wave sweeping away John Ritter at the moment he shouted, "THAT'S IT! " in the movie "Skindeep". I had a lot of knowlege from other books that started out with diagrams of a game already in progress as the author's way of teaching a point, but this book excellently shows you various methods of how to arrive at the points to which many of my favorite chess authors delineate. You really have to be aware of a very good "unspoken" point that this book brings out: since it's typical for so many of us sub-grandmasters to struggle with winning an endgame (many times to no avail without having read Lev Alburt's "Just the Facts") then you can use the various techniques mentioned in "Power Mates" to (attempt to) checkmate the opponent in under 30 moves; ideally entirely avoiding the endgame. Pinning was a very often-mentioned technique (go, get this book to find out others). Yes, it's a good book for begginers who already know how to play chess, but please don't go in to any tournaments until you have thoroughly covered Jeremy Silman's "How to Reassess Your Chess". And one more point: Next time you play chess, remember to have fun! Laugh, even, for crying out loud!
Book Description
Huge fortunes can be amassed by holding real estate for the long term-up to 20 or 30 or years in some cases. Yet most people don't have the luxury of time and need cash to cover their day-to-day expenses. To that end, nationally renowned real estate expert Ron LeGrand has developed a method of buying real estate to generate cash that he calls ""quick turning."" Over the past 15 years, he has bought and sold more than a thousand properties for fast-cash profit using the method.
In How to Be a Quick Turn Real Estate Millionaire: Make Fast Cash with No Money, Credit, or Previous Experience, LeGrand shares this system for building long-term wealth. With wit and wisdom, he outlines four main categories of ""quick-turn"" transactions: retailing, wholesaling, assumptions, and lease/options. He helps readers understand which type of transaction is appropriate for their specific cash flow goals, and he reveals how-to secrets that real estate investors, and wannabe investors, can use to:
* Get rich on fixer-uppers without lifting a hammer.
* Find motivated sellers.
* Negotiate win-win deals.
* Sell houses fast.
* Succeed while others fail.
Customer Reviews:
Here is the truth!.......2007-08-06
Ok, there are people on here rating this book 1 star because of the author trying to sell his course. I'll tell you what, if all you do is take out a big black pen and go through the book and mark a big x over each of the pages that are testimonials trying to get you to buy his course, then yes, the book has 50 fewer pages...BUT it is a good sized book! Just simply don't read those pages and really think about the quality of the rest of the pages and you will be rating this book a 5 instead of 1, its that simple. I went to a book store after reading the reviews of this book and did just that (without the pen) and was amazed at how low this book was rated with the large amount of high quality info in it.
The BEST starter book for Real Estate Investors! .......2007-05-09
I must say I do not understand what any of the negative reviews are about. I have to say that I was skeptical before I read this book but after reading it (with an open mind) I can easily say this is the BEST book, far and away, that you will find for the starting Real Estate Investor! It tells you exactly what to say and do to be successful! My personal copy has been highlighted from cover to cover and I still use it as a reference book in looking for ways to increase my business. It is well worth the $20 investment ! A must have for the serious starting Real Estate investor!
[..]
Basic? Yes. An ad for seminars? Yes. A good book? YES........2006-12-07
This is certainly a book for beginners. If you're at all experienced in real estate investment, then you should probably skip it.
If, however, you're trying to break into the real estate investment business but lack cash, credit, and much knowledge on what to do with distressed properties and/or distressed sellers, then this could be a great place to start. Your education won't end here, but it could start (and you don't have to sign up for expensive seminars...but you will probably have to join a local real estate investment association and get hooked up with people willing to teach you).
Did anyone really think they were going to get all of the information they needed in a $20 book? Of course not...but there is certainly enough good information here for a complete novice to justify a $20 investment. If you read this book, either the light-bulb will go off over your head or it won't. You'll either get motivated to get out there and do a deal (or at least try), or you won't.
Just remember...to have something you have never had, you must do something you have never done.
Gives you only broad strokes of concepts..........2006-04-29
When I first read the title of the book, I thought it'll give you everything you need to get real estate, boy was I wrong...it contains fluff about motivation, positive thinking (which I could read from other experts like Norman Vincent Peale, or Dale Carnegie), and pages of testimonials from his students. I'd say only 60% of the book is about real estate and even those parts are in broad strokes giving you concepts. Legrand even admits that its foolhardy to jump into real estate armed with the knowledge from only that book on pages 61-62.....the only things he'll go into detail is finding sellers, screening prospects, and how to sell your house effectively.
If you want to spend your money efficiently and getting the most information for your hard-earned dollar, don't spend money on this book. But if you are someone who's clueless about real estate and want a general concept of no money down properties, then this book will help you and point you in the right direction, and this direction will point you to his website hawking is seminars and courses.
Here's a tip I learned in reading real estate books: Before you buy a real estate book, go to the author's website and check if his/her products he/she sells are only his/her books....if it is, then the book contains everything he/she knows about that topic (hopefully), but if his/her other products includes high priced seminars, CDs, or DVDs, or courses...like Ron Legrand's website, then that book isn't giving you everything you need to know..
an initiation into the world of real estate.......2005-08-05
Yes... Ron is right... 'don't expect miracles from a book.' Folks... this isn't a read a few chapters and suddenly be a genius type thing. He gives you examples of ways he has made tons of money in real estate and you shouldn't expect everything to work as planned or for there to be everything you need in this book. You still have to work your market... test stuff out... gain experience... learn the ropes... etc etc. For all the naysayers... I would say read it again and again... buy a few other books too... join some real estate forums... if you really want to succeed in real estate. And about his plugs for his bootcamps/courses... they are very good... but you don't need them... do with what you have and take ACTION.
I'm reminded of a saying I heard a while ago "We will either find a way or make one." Good Luck
