I had Peter Koenig as an instructor at Florida State University where he taught these terrific tools of the trade. I didn't realize how valuable they would be until I, myself, became a designer in the field. I will be teaching an Interior Design course on sketching this term and will be using the knowledge from this textbook to help my own students to perfect their ability to communicate their ideas to their clients. I have been using AutoCAD since 1992, after the first couple years of using AutoCAD, I stopped learning new tricks and learning better ways of using AutoCAD because I was able to do my job with the set of AutoCAD skills I have. This book helps me brush up my CAD skills and taught me many new tricks to be more efficient. It was never too late to teach an old dog new tricks!

Much as I love Aragones' "Groo" and other such comics, sometimes I think he's at his absolute best doing quick, silent gags like the ones in this book. In the sequel to "Louder Than Words," Sergio treats us to another six issues' worth of silent pages, quick jokes and punchlines. This is a book you can put down and pick up at any time, read any page by itself and crack up. Here's hoping he gets around to doing a third series soon -- although I haven't the foggiest clue what he could call it.
Funny Stuff!.......2002-11-18
How many silent one-page gags can Sergio Aragones do before he runs out of funny ideas? Lucky for us, there appears to be no end in sight! Sergio is truly a master of his craft, and he's on top of his game with Actions Speak. I laughed a LOT, and spent an equal amount of time appreciating his deceptively simple-looking artwork. I can't recommend Actions Speak highly enough!

I really liked this accessory, it added weapons and equipment to the game that I feel need to be in there, becuase they're there in real life. One of the only things about it that bugs me is that some of the weapons are different calibur, yet still do the *exact* same damage (like the .38 & .32, I think a few others). Also, as another reviewer pointed out, gun enthusiasts like myself may be disappointed with the generic descriptions. I was. However, these shortcomings in now way detract from the value of this book, I recommend that anyone gamemastering a Dark*Matter game pick up this book.

This book is intended for TSR's Alternity roleplaying game, specifically the Dark Matter campaign setting (think 'X-files') and is a better effort than the similar book for the StarDrive campaign setting.
The book describes a dazzling array of general (clothes, vehicles) and specialist equipment (Vampire hunter's kit) in a concise and entertaining fashion. A welcome surprise for a TSR supplement is the terrific illustrations that compliment the text. While gun enthusiasts might be unsatisfied with the generic weapons offered (e.g. '9mm Semi automatic' as opposed to say, '9mm Browning HP'), the detail should be sufficient for most players and GMs. Overall, it is very well done and well worth the price.

The Dark Matter Arms and Equipment is a very detailed book. The introduction alone had me interested by the first paragragh. Knowing a bit about guns myself, the information is very accurate with real world weapons. We all know guns like the 9mm and the Desert Eagle 50 Cal. The book makes it easy for the GameMaster to outfit starting characters because this books list pakages for many types of agents and jobs. I believe that this book is a must for the Dark Matter Campaign because you can't bring the rukis on an alien or demon without the proper equipment.

This text offers great details, but I did not rate it as 5 stars because (1) when searching for content, it is difficult to see the key words in the text and (2) the case studies are well selected, but since they are inserted throughout the chapter, it is challenging to determine where the case ends and the author's content begins.
Overall, I would recommend the Jennings text and will keep a copy on my shelf.

This book was assigned to one of my MBA classes. The book itself was a good source of reference not only for my business law class but also to other two classes. The book's language is simple and easy to understand. The only flaw I found about this this book was that some cases were complex and I had to refer to actual law books and regulations.
