Pretty good.......2007-08-14
I dont know why some people did not like this book. I think they did not read the nomenclature, it lists the dimensions right there. I like the size of the book myself. You also must relize that this book is sort of like a "sampler". It is broken down by photographer and gives a bio on the person as well various means to contact the artist if you want to buy larger prints. As for the pictures, the style varies greatly, but do not mistake this book for out right porno if that is what you want look elsewhere. If you enjoy the female form then this book is for you.
Nice.....ver nice!.......2006-06-20
Hmmmmmmm......where do begin? I'll make it short and sweet. There's a lot of high quality prints from many different photographers. It's interesting to see there differnt perspectives of the female " rear end", which I might add is absolutely extrordinary! This book will make a fine piece for anyone's collection!!
Where are the black women?.......2006-04-12
I was disappointed with this selection. I thought the book would have been of the large format style but actually found it to be somewhat undersized. I also found many of the photos to be a underexposed. Doing a book profiling the rear assets of the female form one would expect accenting the various circular shapes and angles and the protruding qualities therein, which I found to be lacking in this book. Lastly, while I don't favor any one ethnic group over the other, I do find the book lacking in representation of various ethnic groups. I'm sure anyone would agree that African American women have more than ample proportions, and find it quite disturbing that a book with the title "Hot Cheeks" exclude such subjects that have been know for their rather bulbous bottoms. A book show casing such a glorious area of the female anatomy should have included a more diverse ethnic representation. Let's get a little ghetto for a min. Let's be honest. Black women are known for there butt's.
CONSIDER ME AN A$$ MAN....... KA-CHING........2005-10-21
Well, well, well, well, well, what do we have here? I really am a fan of photography, I'm not as sick as you may think, although I may thumb through an occasional smut mag once in a while. One of the AMAZON girls was raving about another book LEGS, a fine picture book that she really enjoyed. In search for that I came across this one HOT CHEEKS! AH HA HA HAAAA! This is art! Back in the day (when I was probably considered to young to be doing such a thing) I used to shoot videos for friends of mine (not pornos) just some tape for girls that loved to look at themselves doing sexy stuff, (although they may have been considered...). Very rarely did they ever let me have my own copies. I think they were afraid of what I'd do with them. I started out raw, but learned appreciation of angles, for instance, I really like to shoot UP from below. Serious, they make very effective shots, like the cover of this book. Come on man, that is HOT!
ANYWAY!...Expect a lot of good rump shots in this peice. If you have a love for photography you will likely dig this book.
Dirty old men will probably dig it too. Sinners.

Rumiko has done it again!.......2003-05-22
Rumiko has certainly done it again with Vol. 3. I love every minute of this book. I was practically on the floor laughing. It is hilarious. Yet, it still has the action we all love. Believe me, this book is awesome. This is thee best book series I have EVER seen. You'll love this book. It's great!
gotta love it.......2003-03-16
All I have to say is if you love Anime you will love this series. The graphics are wonderful. The stories are great. It has good humor with a touch of romance and horror. I could read these books over and over again for hours. I'm not just saying this about vol 3 either. All I have read so far are wonderful. But a slight warning, these things are so addictive.
Inu-Yasha is the best series yet!.......2003-01-19
This is the best manga series Ive seen so far. It is an EXECELENT drama, comedy, and fantsy, all in one.
In the beginning Kagome is a normal Jr. High kid but when she accedentally falls into the sacred Bone-Eaters well she is tranported to the Fudal Age of Japan. When she finds herself there, she goes exploring for her family owned shrine. Except it's not there. instead she finds a demon boy named Inu-Yasha.
When she finds herself surrounded by the local villagers she is taken to the village where the preistes examines her to find a remakable resemblance to the high priestes and protecter of the sacred Shikon Jewel. This jewel can give the posesser vast powers wether good or evil. Kagome is in grave danger because many demons in the fuedal age seek the jewel. but when Kagome finds that the jewel is inside her body pretecting it, it gets blown apart by an enchated arrow that Kagome shot, it breaks and the shards cover the feudal japan. Now Kagome has to team up with Inu-Yasha to set out across the feudal Japan to find all the shards before the demons do.
THIS IS AN EXCELENT MANGA!! ...
wonderful series.......2002-06-28
I love each of the books in this series. I'm a fan of all of the other things I've seen by Rumiko Takahashi, and this series is definitely no exception. In each book there's a serious plot combined with just the right amount of humor. This series isn't quite as silly as Ranma 1/2 (I always get strange looks when I try to explain that one to anyone I know). In this book, Inu-yasha and Kagome meet Nobunaga, a young man who wishes to save a princess in trouble. The three of them end up having to battle the demon that has possessed the princess' husband and is devouring the souls of young women. In the second half of the book, Kagome has decided she needs to go back to her time in order to study for exams. However, demons exist even there, and this one has a shard of the Shikon Jewel. I think this is the first book that includes a little of the incredibly gullible Hojo, and there are hints of a possible romance between Kagome and Inu-yasha. Of course, knowing Rumiko Takahashi, that romance will be very very far in the future, but it's still fun to read about and very cute. I would recommend reading this series in order, or you might become very confused. This is definitely a worthwhile read.
Inu Yasha.......2001-09-04
This Manga brings us into the present and past at a cross roads. We learn a few things about the Half Demon and his disposition towards Kagome.Kagome's school and family make a few guest appearances.I'm really interested in getting Vol 4 and Vol 5 for my birthday and I recommend this as a birthday gift to a friend or a fan with the same enthusiasm towards this series!

Customer Reviews:
the instruction is so annoying.......2002-02-05
I bought this book since i wanted to learn Flash, and I have to say what a dissappointment it was. I think the author wasn't very clear on his instructions in some cases and in other he overly repeated himself which is extremely irritating. A beginner as I am, I'm overly bugged by his "millimeter by millimeter" instructions. I bought this book hoping to learn Flash only to find it so annoying that I didn't bother going back looking at it again after the first 4 chapters. I gave this book the one star for its nice graphic work which I think is the one best thing about it.
This was NOT What I was Looking For!.......2001-07-24
I decided to buy Flash 5 Design: Content to Creation after browsing through the book at my local book store. The examples looked inspiring and I decided to buy the book. Unfortunately, once I got it home, I was completely disappointed. The examples aren't bad, but they aren't terribly inspiring either. The author is so wordy, he even tells you to click on the little box with the 'X' to close a window. He does this over and over throughout the book.
Even if you are a beginner, you will quickly tire of the repetition and the overly detailed instructions he gives to complete each tutorial. This book could have been reduced by a third if he would simply cut out some of the verbage.
In the end, I actually took the book back to the store. I figured that [...] I had better get something that met my needs.
One good thing: if you want to know every step involved in creating a Flash movie, which button to click, in minute detail, in exact order with nothing left to chance, then by all means, buy this book.
I'd rate it below one star if I could..........2001-07-06
Look, I've been researching Flash inside and out. I bought this book, but now I'm beginning to wonder why. This book if anything shows you how to assemble projects, nothing more. The actionscripting in this book is still Flash 4 based. Heck, if you goto the author's website to download any of the 'extra' examples that he mentions in the book, there's a nice little note stating that he'll email the examples to you, but for flash actionscripting advice you're better off elsewhere.
Nice Illustrations and Content.......2001-04-14
This is my 5th Flash book I have bought and I would honestly have to say that this one is my favorite. Most of the Flash books I have purchased touch on MANY things about Flash, but never really go into detail about ANY of them. This book is the exception. Not only does it go into great detail in every chapter, the images are for great reference material. Also the biggest plus, for me anyway, is that you don't have to start at the beginning of the book to get to the end. Each chapter/tutorial is one of its own. You can jump from chapter to chapter and not miss anything.
Highly recommended to ALL FLASH USERS -- Beginners to Advanced.

Concept to Creation -- My kind of book.......2001-04-11
I'm a Flash novice and searched the Internet looking for a good introductory book. I found Flash 5 Design from concept to creation, and it sounded like the kind of book I needed, so I checked it out at local bookstore. Its organization, layout, use of examples, and appropriate level of detail immediately impressed me. Computer books are all too expensive, but that is the price of admission if you want good information, so I reached for the plastic and I'm glad I made the investment. I really got into it over a long weekend, and I was thrilled! I found a chapter that had an application that seemed like it would be fund to build and I jumped right in. The directions were easy to follow, and not only was I able to duplicate the application, but understood the technical concepts in the end. For someone whose background is in graphic arts this is quite an accomplishment!

Book Description
This book is a survey of the critical reaction to Beethoven's music as it appeared in the major musical journals, French as well as German, of his day, and represents the first book-length history of Beethoven reception. The author discusses the philosophical and analytical implications of these reviews - by, among others, Hoffmann, A. B. Marx and Berlioz - and reassesses what has come to be the accepted view of a nineteenth- century musical aesthetics rooted in Romantic Idealism. Wallace sees Beethoven's critics as in fact providing a link between two apparently antithetical approaches to music: the eighteenth-century emphasis on expression and extra-musical interpretation and the nineteenth-century emphasis on `absolute' music and formal analysis. This book thus provides, in addition to a carefully documented study of Beethoven's critical reception, a re-evaluation of his oeuvre and its significance in music history. An index of all reviews cited is provided, and a further appendix contains the quoted material in its original language. Customer Reviews:
Outstanding.......2007-05-12
This book contains 534 go problems. That's it, that's the entire content.. the author doesn't even introduce himself. If your goal is to "get strong at go" as the title suggests, it will suit you perfectly. However, if you enjoy the occasional fun anecdote or prefer a little more easy-reading, you could be dissapointed. It's definitely an instructional book and it's goal is to make you a better player.
I'm ranked 9kyu on KGS and I got a lot from the book from doing just the easy (1 star) and intermediate (2 star) problems. I suspect that anyone could enjoy the 1 star problems if they take their time for them. If you are already a very strong player, you could try to solve the problems spending no more than 10 seconds on each of them. Conclusion: I recommend this book, but don't expect anything other than 534 go problems and their solutions.
A great way to keep your mind sharp and develop skills.......2002-10-21
I am an 'amateur' go player. I've played infrequently for a few years, and I think I spend more time reading go books than actually playing go! I find that if I'm bored, if I have a few minutes to spare, or if I'm going on a bus ride or something, I can open up this book and entertain myself with it.
This book doesn't 'teach' you anything, but you can learn a lot from it! In doing these go problems you will develop good habits and an eye for how to play in certain situations.
Where it falls short: It does not teach you how to play the entire board. It only has situations which are focused on a certain area of the board, and disregards the other events in the game. This is totally appropriate, though, because situations like these arrive constantly, and you must learn how to not only perform your own tesuji attacks, but defend against them. You should supplement this book with a book like 'get strong at the opening'.
A great book for practicing Tesuji.......2000-05-14
Reading Get Strong at Tesuji is an excellent way to strengthen your middle-game. The book consists of over 500 problems, ranging from easy(20k) to hard(1d). Each problem helps make it easier to read out situations in a game. Personally, the book helped improve my game by 3 stones.

Customer Reviews:
Already within the text.......2007-01-09
All cases in this book are already within the hardcover text. I wasted my money. The actual cases within this text are great ones though, because they really require the reader to think about several aspects of business.
Text Book.......2005-08-18
This was a text book assigned to a class in graduate school. I found it informative with how companies develop strategic plans, and how these plans may change.
When writing case studies, this book provided me with much insight on how business, boardrooms, senior management, and all company employees contribute their part to operating a successful company.
Common sense for those that know business concepts well..........2004-06-02
Although one may learn new terms, most of the concepts laid out in this book are fairly common sense, if you've had any type of job in your life where you had to do payroll, forcast sales, or any other "strategic" processes of doing business. This is not to talk down at the book....it is an excellent book that covers the topic(s) that it set out to quite well. In the real business world, you would always try to figure out the most cost effective way to increase profits, decrease costs, and simultaneously maintain workplace efficiency. I didn't really need a textbook to tell me that.
I originally bought this book on the advice of bain4weeks.com which recommended this as the text of choice to successfully test out of the Excelsior College Exam ECE Business Policy and Strategy. While I merely scanned through a few of the pages, I ended up getting a "B" on what was supposed to the the "capstone" business degree class. The test was all essay response, which made it sound hard, but to be honest, it was probably one of the easiest tests I've taken. It took all 3 hours, but it was kind of hard to fail that exam. AS LONG AS you put something down for an answer, and it made sense to the senario. It was very open-response and more or less asked for your opinion on the best way to solve the particular case study.
I strongly recommend anyone wishing to get 3 required upper level semester credits in Business Policy/Strategy to register NOW for that ECE exam; it will be discontinued in Sept 2004. Grab the Strategic Management book if you feel you'll need a good review of what would be unfamiliar business concepts for you. TECEP does have a version of the Business Policy test as well
. But I'd try to take the Excelsior version while I can.
outlines the whole credit-by-examination process and how to finish your degree a lot faster.
See your business as an integrated whole.......1999-08-12
I originally used an older version of this book in 1991 when I took Wheelen's class "Strategic Management and Business Policy". The value of this book is Wheelen's methods of taking all the parts of a business and integrating them into a workable whole--the physical tool to enable such a transformation is the strategic business plan. I was only 20 when I read this book, and I was awestruck.
This was the most valuable book I read in college.
