The book is an extremely clear, simple, ste-by-step explanation of ACAD 2002. Skills are taught primarily through easy to follow exercises that build on each other, primarily the drafting of a room, its furnishings, etc... Some additional text is included regarding, plotting, layers etc... I will be using this as the text for my Intro class, primarily due to its legibility and clear graphics. While recommended for the designer who has bever used CAD, those with any experience or interested in an in-depth look at the software or its advanced features should look elsewhere.

Great art - not a howto book.......2006-10-26
The photographs and many diagrams in this book (most of the book in fact is gorgeous glossy photos of the different joints described) expose and beautifully illustrate the Japanese people's many intricate forms of joinery. The author explains the basic concept behind each joint but does not provide details on how to make the cuts that form it. The joints illustrated here are those most commonly used by Japanese "carpenters" and provide an excellent basic overview of what the joints look like and how they fit together. Readers looking for a how-to book will prefer "The Complete Japanese Joinery" by Hideo Sato and Yasua Nakahara.

...just like Minnie May. This is volume 5 or the series and concludes the story that started in the previous volume. However, it's not Goldie's final appearance.
The back cover of the previous volume suggested that Goldie is an assassin, but here she is described as a boss. Both titles could be true, but she doesn't appear to take orders from anyone. Goldie is an expert killer.
Kerasine came up at the end of Goldie vs. Misty. Now we see just how bad kerasine really is. Goldie manages to get a strong hold on Rally and causes her to get into serious trouble. Rally is strong, but she may need some help. Once again we see a little more of Minnie May's past. It will be a little longer before we begin Rally's past. ...but not in this volume.
The fight in the graveyard is great. ...and weird! The ending had a nice twist too.
This is for mature audiences. The storyline is a bit intense, and there is some nudity.

Gunsmith Cats: Bad Trip picks up where cliffhanger of Goldie Vs. Misty left off, with Rally being forced into Goldie's service. The prospect of Rally's abilities used for evil is frightening, but fortunately she's stronger than she's given credit for. As usual, the art is gorgeous, the action is intense, and the storytelling is always engaging. Nudity and violence abound. Plus, despite its size as one of the shortest GSC collections, the plot is full of twists and surprises, and one of the most bizarre, hallucinogenic shootouts found in Gunsmith Cats or anywhere else. Rally's dug herself into the deepest hole she's been in yet--Bad Trip is as hard core as the series has ever been. Don't get it if you haven't read Goldie Vs. Misty, though--they're basically companion volumes. I highly recommend the entire series.

365 Things Every Couple Should Know is a must read for all couples. It definitely allows one to explore topics with each other that are oherwise hard to address. Moreover, it gives couples a guideline by which to go by in order to understand their spouse/partner on a different level. This book in DENSE. The author crammed lots of information on very few pages. This book, while it has "cheat sheets" , is not for the true beginner or someone with a mind to dabble and just have fun. If you are graph and chart oriented, this is for you.

I have been looking for a guitar theory book like this for years!!! The book is JAM-PACKED with information. It is well-written and easy to understand, and it covers every guitar theory topic in one easy-to-use book. Given all of the areas is covers, it should be a much thicker book, but the author makes efficient use of space without making the book seem too cluttered or confusing. Undoubtedly the best I've seen. This book is the standard by which all other guitar theory books should be judged.

When I first ordered Direct Marketing it sat untouched on my desk for several weeks. At two inches thick (I measured it), I was dreading another boring tome that took a thousand words to say what could have been covered in ten. When I finally cracked the cover, I was pleasantly surprised.
Not only is Direct Marketing devoid of fluff, every word is packed with the insight of a gentleman who has obviously earned his knowledge from the school of hard knocks. As I continued to read the fourth edition of Direct Marketing I found that it is more than a book on direct mail, it's an essential read on marketing in general:
* Nash makes it easy to understand the importance and mechanics of marketing measurement and metrics.
* While emphasizing the accountability and predictability of direct marketing, Nash does not discount general marketing knowledge.
* Nash makes planning practical and concise. The chapter on marketing plans is the best coverage of the topic that I've seen.
* The Internet and other interactive vehicles are fully embraced.
In short, if you're a marketing professional, buy this book.

Wonderful! Straight to the point. Packed with facts, not fluff. No pipe-dreams. Money making, practical, and thought provoking. There is so much information and advice here, it could have easily been three or four books. Well worth the full price -- a bargain on amazon. Buy it!
