A revealing and interesting insight into the world of Fergie.......2003-11-03

Before I read the book I questioned the authors reasons for writing it - especially as she called him her 'dearest friend', but by the end of the book I understood completely. Her loyalty to the author was negligeable and 'hurtful', especially when he told of the circumstances following his suicide attempt; she said next time he commits suicide (as her clairvoyant told her he would) and when he is dead could he get JFK to tell his son that she was destined to marry him (John Kennedy Junior) - bizarre to say the least! At her worst Fergie was shown to be thoughtless, selfish, deceitful, spineless and spoilt. However, the author also gives a balanced view, as in the case where Fergie held and kissed neglected, orphaned kids when many of the other adults present could not even bring themselves to enter the room because of the stench. As for John Bryan - he needs help for sure - what a shallow character!

Human Weakness.......2003-04-03

I have just read the book for the second time. Very interesting insight into the psychology of all parties involved, including the author. I feel the author had a love/hate relationship with the Duchess of York. When she was good, she was very good: when she was bad she was very bad. It must have been a nightmare trying to "organise" two shambolic personalities. At the same time, I get the feeling it was very attractive to be "an inside player" rather than an outside observer.Well written.

It's like he was a mind-reader, or psychic when it came to him (Allan Starkie) getting into the thoughts and feelings of SARAH FERGUSON! Truly amazing insight....he is to be commended....and perhaps the QUEEN will KNIGHT him...NOT!!! (Perhaps in his next life?) Good show my man. I can't wait to see his next book....and who's the SUBJECT MATTER???

Oh, You've Gotta Read This One!.......1999-01-12

At first, I thought this was going to be another one of those books written by someone who saw the Duchess of York from a distance and figured that gave them the right to capitalize on the experience. I was very wrong! This author has a captivatingly twisted tale to tell about his daily dealings with Sarah and her toe-sucking "financial advisor" John Bryan. This stuff is so incredibly bizarre, that it couldn't be fictionalized. It is the story of one man--John Bryan--who was so greedy, sleezy, arrogant, self-absorbed, and insecure--and the married woman he shamelessly pursued, she having her own set of faults, weaknesses and standards, such as indecisiveness, stupidity, selfishness and extreme insecurity--to name only a few. Their relationship was so destructive and emotionally and physically abusive, that they almost destroyed each other, but not until they had basically destroyed themselves, first. The author stuck with both of them as a best friend until he was driven to unsuccessful suicide and prison, before he finally came to his senses. After reading this book, one would think twice about having the Duchess of York on one's list of friends.

If all said is true I'll never know but I do wonder about Fergie's conduct toward other human beings and why some of those often mistreated by her -the author in particular- kept returning for more and larger dosis of tantrums. Perhaps they were seeking recognition by everyone as friends of Fergie.

This is not just another climbing narrative from an alpine athlete. Petzoldt is a fascinating character whose breezy anecdotes say a lot about the development of Wyoming in the early part of the century, about human nature, what it means to be an adventurer, and even a little about class struggle in our supposedly classless society. It's a quick read I think climbers and non-climbers alike will enjoy.

Plenty "Politically Correct" Conspiracies.......2007-05-12

We had read Brad Steiger's mystery books of the late 1960's
and early 1970's, and found them to be worthy paperbacks, not
as wild, funny and erratic as John Keel's works, but similar.

This book is much larger and extensive than those:

CASS is a "FAT 500" book of MANY descriptions, photo images,
many theories, that a reader can use to grip and examine
popular conspiracies and associated personalities,
perhaps to improve conversations about the Abnormal, to
increase adrenaline levels.

We commend Steiger on CASS and his inclusion of

1. John Lennon, UFO researchers, Jonestown, George Wallace,
MURDERS via possible MK ULTRA, Manchurian Candidate, MI5, MI6,
MIB, drug-affected mind control, cancer or other techniques.

2. Dr. Henry Kissinger (Master Spy, Hank, Dr. Strangelove)
who, along with other Occult Mind Control Advisors, seem
always present in Pharaohs rule and Reign of Terror.

3. Bildebergers, Rockefellers, Illuminati, Trilaterals

4. Interesting Individuals (NOT criminal) like R. Steiner,
Helen Blavatsky, Nikola Tesla, Wilhelm Reich.

6. Ted Owens, one of the greatest psychics and forecasters
("Prophets") of the 20th century, a Prodigy equivalent to Moses,
and his Church of SOTA (Secrets Of The Ages by Robert Collier).

7. CIA/KGB collusion, FBI/FSB familiars, NSA/NKVD, Nazie/Commie

Telephone monitoring, harrassment, intimidation, surveillance,

REAL Conspiracies and Secret Societies.

To remain Sane with CASS, perhaps Realise that Each and Every
Creature is really a Divine Being, directly related to the Super
Supreme Being, the Super Soul, ALLAH or God, Who Loves and Cares
for US All, as an Eternal Divine Family.

We give Conspiracies and Secret Societies THREE out of FIVE,
but really expected better from Steiger, as a sign of maturity
and progress in his discovery and exploration of Worldly Ways
and Human antics, over the past 50 years or more...

That's right I'm worried about Brad and Sherry. Why? All they do is research and write darn good books. Good thing for those of us who want to read them! When I got this book I could not put it down. A Masterpiece.......2006-03-29

As a professional radio host, I read a LOT of books, and am familiar with the latest efforts of the world's best authors. Though I've immensely enjoyed the Steigers' work for most of my life, this book is truly a masterpiece. Many books on conspiracies are burdensome to appreciate. You must absorb yourself in a complex network of heavy reading that can quickly become exhausting. When I received this 540-page book, I wondered if it would take 6 months to read. But after only one minute of thumbing through the work, I was hooked, and found myself turning page after page, losing myself in the material.

The sections are so digestible and "to the point" that you can learn an enormous amount of information from one page, stopping at any place with a sense of satisfaction. It's like reading short stories. I'm amazed by how they condensed so much information, sweeping comprehensively through all of history, while still keeping one's attention span. I'll never loan out this book because I know I'll never see it again!

If you could only own one book on conspiracies, this is it. It's the culmination of meticulous, balanced research, seasoned storytelling, and a sense for the reader's needs, earned over decades by the Steigers' submersion in this field. Whenever I need information on conspiracies, whether personally or for show preparation, this is the book I will grab from the shelf. The Steigers know what their readers want. Trust me, if you're interested in this subject, buy this book.

The BEST introductory module written for Dungeons & Dragons.......2001-02-17

There is not a single module for Dungeons and Dragons that is crafted as well as this one. The story behind the module is very deep and inticing. All of the traps, pitfalls and placement of creatures is extremely well thought out and explained in detail. The journal entries is a nice touch too, enabling the gamemaster to better understand the mechanisms, and giving room for enhancement. The encounters are perfectly balanced and everything makes sense. The included map is perfect for 25mm scale miniatures!

I have run this adventure twice now, and it had been received warmly both times. This adventure is particularly useful for setting up a homebase for first time adventurers.

If you enjoy this module, I also highly recommend the three boxed modules: The Haunted Tower, The Dragons Den and the Goblin's Lair.

This book is great.......2006-08-02

The previous reviewer cites the perception of the author's inflated ego. I too was distracted by the author's tendency to refer to "TD" indicator this and that and this disturbed me. However, i had the good fortune to meet the author at a Bloomberg seminar and the author explained why he chose to preface his indicators with the 'td'. The justification he gave was that his attorney wanted him to trademark and control the indicators and that was the effective way for him to accomplish that goal. I accept that reason and more than that I can overlook the petty complaint that it is distracting by concentrating upon the value I find in the indicators. I say call them whatever the author wants to since bottom line they are the best I have seen in my 35+ years in the industry.

You may want to think twice about this one. Not to be negative, but it is very hard to follow. Clear and concise dialog is absent in favor of unnecessary "branding" if you will of common techniques mixed with completely unverified and difficult to back test methods for trading the markets. This is trading celebrity gone wrong. I would love to know the remaining balance of an investment account traded with these "TDious" indicators. You can at least save yourself from this trade.

Prescription for successful trading from a true genius.......2006-06-16

My trading partner introduced me to the author's work. He told me that the author had worked closely with Paul Tudor Jones, Leon Cooperman, Steve Cohen and other industry titans. To be associated with these guys, he had to have something of value. After reading his books, my conclusion is that he truly possesses a creativity and market awareness that is unmatched in the industry. Although the ideas he presents can be profitably applied, I am certain that he does not share everything he knows with the reader. Regardless something is better than nothing.

Prior to xmas and on my birthday I received a copy of DeMark's 'New Science of Technical Analysis'. I have been a professional trader for over 20 years and currently head up the trading operation at one of the major Wall Street firms. I thought I knew how market operateed and I shared my expereince on TV, radio, and in newspapers for years. Upon reading this book and as well ass the other two in the DeMark set, I have gained a profound new awareness how markets truly behave. The author is beyoind peer in defining and describing the intricacies of price behavior. What an enlightening series of reads.

I enjoyed this book immensely and since I have been trading for over 30 years and never read anything approaching the uniqueness of this book. I also read with much interest the author's other two bboks. However, the reason I would prefer not to assign a full 5 stars is because I truly believe the author knows much more than the general (and sometimes specific) ideas he posits in the books. I realize that the author has no obligation to share more than the very helpful ideas we find within the pages of the book but it would have been much, much more useful to include more information. I assume that for the small amount of money invested in the books, he did not want to provide more information. Also perhaps the size of the book would be volumes. Nevertheless the new, original ideas included in the book are compelling and very helpful.
