Awesome Reading.......2007-09-06
Very well written. A lot of research went into this book. I truly believe there was a cover up in the death of Princess Diana and it will probably never be brought to light. I loved this book and would highly recommend it.
The Murder Of Princess Diana.......2007-09-02
YES, I most defintley believe that there was a cover up and consiprisy in Princess Diana's death. I believe without a doubt that she was murdered. Diana was more loved and popular than the Royal family, she was in love with a muslim and maybe pregnant. She was the peoples Princess, therefore she had more love and power than the Queen and Prince
Also she had information ( hidden ) that was removed, never to be found, by the Royal family, this information would have greatly embarressed and brought Prince Charles and his family down, The Royal family where afraid of all her information, this is absolutely a FACT, so how can this be ingnored ?
She was everything the Royal family could never be, Loving, Kind , and Giving, loving her sons enough that against the Queens wishes, Diana gave birth in the hospital, that was a firt for the Royal family. I have researched and read about this for 10 years now, and she was indeed murdered.
Some Shocking Stuff In Here!.......2007-08-18
I probably own every book ever published about Princess Diana (before, during and after her death) and found this book to contain many things I had never read before. Mr. Botham brings up theories that I discussed with my late fiance, a Brit, but was afraid to talk about in public. Since Graham lived and worked in London, and ran in 'certain circles' he knew a great deal more than I did about her untimely death. There were things he simply refused to discuss, even with me. A couple of these verboten items are in the book.
I was stunned to read that Princess Anne lost her virginity to Camilla's ex-husband, Mr. Parker-Bowles. Of course Camilla was not married at that time, but the fact that the Parker-Bowles's were involved with both brother and sister Royals seems a bit, well, incestuous.
While he mentions that the French driver who died in the crash (Henri Paul) was suspected of working with foreign intelligence, he does not mention what many other books do of his working with Israeli intelligence. Botham does note that Diana's romance with Dodi (an Egyptian) was of great concern to the Israeli government at the time. Henri Paul seems to have had his hands in all the pies. And we see what greed gets you. Dead.
This book is either very accurate and frightening, or it is chock full of lies, and should be regarded as fiction. When I was reading it I could not help but wish my fiance were still here to read it with me. He would have thoroughly enjoyed it. Diana's death was not a surprise to me at all. I knew it was only a matter of time before she left the stage. I can't believe it has been ten years since she died. My heart still aches for her sons. Time will never heal their loss. I just hope that before he dies, Mr. Al-Fayed gets some sense of justice and a sense of finality. He is not the crackpot he is made out to be. Whether he is rich, powerful, famous, liked or disliked, he is a father. He does have deep feelings. After all these years, he still doesn't have answers. It all seems so sad on so many levels.
Pretty Good Book.......2005-12-09
I thought this was a pretty good book. I disagree that Princess Diana would not have married Dodi. I believe she felt a little desperate at this point. She desperately wanted another child before it was too late. And I believe Dodi was perfect for her. Dodi had done a few things in the past when he was young as alot of people have done. Also, remember she was scheduled to go back to London the day she died but did not go back because Dodi wanted her to stay. This one point makes me believe that she knew why he wanted her to say (proposal of marriage). If she was not interested, she would never have cancelled her plans to go back to London. Some people want the public to believe she would never have married him because that was one of the BIG reasons why she might have been 'eliminated'. I have read TONS of material about her accident and am not convinced that it was an accident. But I don't believe anything will ever come of it!
A gutsy "tabloid" examination .......2005-09-01
Though I don't agree with some major points in the premises laid out, I wanted to commend the author for putting out the murder stance in a backed-up logical way. It is a sham to not acknowledge that Diana was revered by many but to a small faction she was a MAJOR nuisance.
I don't think that Diana was pregnant OR planning to marry Dodi. I agree that Diana wanted revenge for the humiliation that she suffered- and she could do this by her "scene stealing humanitarianism".. But to think that she would get engaged to a playboy who had broken up with his fiance a few weeks prior- , who had drug problems and a checkered past? No way. Dodi's father has plenty of reason to espouse this theory because he was the engineer who set up this friendship in the first place. Look at the pictures of Diana on the Jonikal- she is not gayly hypnotised by the festivities- she looks like she's killling time. There were plenty of dynasties that Diana could have hooked up with- she didn't need Dodi's hand to legitimize her. It's just not believable.
That said, the rest of the theories ring true; the supposed drunk driver- Henri paul was on the MI5 payroll, and he was a light drinker who had NO signs of drunkedness- watch the tape. Yet his blood alcohol test says that his blood alcohol level was 3X over the limit- oh and yes contained carbon monoxide- indicative of a suicide- somebody simply switched the blood tests with another guy at the morgue that night.Additionally, the blueprint of the "murder crash plan" was outlined to others at another time, it is acknowledged in the dark force circles that making a car crash look like an accident is a very effective assasination method. The road that the death car traveled on- has numerous cameras poised on it- are we to believe that evry single security camera was off that night? P'shaw. Also, why did Henri Paul take that roundabout route , why were the security proedures in place discarded at the last minute- after Henri Paul had a little tete-a-tete at the Ritz with Dodi? ( at around eleven, after Dodi and Diana had enjoyed some wine with dinner- I think between the two of them they just didn't smell the rat that was there. )

He STILL does not explain!.......2005-02-16
Martyn Gregory STILL does not explain why the following happened!
1. Why was a partial embalming done on Princess Diana while she lay in the French hospital.
2. Why did street cleaners come into the tunnel just a few hours after the accident to clean the street where the accident was.
3. Why did they reopen the tunnel just hours after the accident.
4. Why was Henri Paul's blood packed with carbon monoxide.
5. Why wouldn't anyone let Henri Paul's family do an independent study on Henri Paul's blood
6. Why were witnesses that saw certain things eliminated from the investigation. And on and on and on. In my mind, Princess Diana was 'eliminated' by top professionals....and they got away with it. Read 'The Hidden Evidence and 'The Murder of Princess Diana'!
Interesting book but he sure hates alFayed.......2000-10-12
I'm still in the process of reading this book but two things are already apparent to me. 1. Mr. Gregory seems to have a powerful dislike for Mohamed al Fayed. 2.Since the wildest conspiracy theories don't hold up he seems to think that means none of the rumors could be true. I agree that the Princess likely did die in an accident but to absolutely rule out foul play is going too far. Many of Mr. Gregory's debunkings seem very well thought out and informative, even probable, I just have a feeling that something is missing.
Don't waste your money on this one.......2000-08-31
Martyn Gregory's account of the couple's final journey is riddled with inaccuracies, distortions and falsehoods.
Very Interesting.......2000-08-26
It is quite obvious that Mr. Gregory has done his homework here. There were several interesting details which I had not read before. He is very anti Al Fayed. But he did strain his credibility with me when he twice mentioned that JFK was assasinated in Houston. Mr. Gregory must be very young! I enjoyed the book. He argued his "case" very convincingly.

Customer Reviews:
Diana Book is Not Just Another Tribute.......2005-09-10
Since we lost our Queen of Hearts, the books about her by those who claimed to "know" her have proliferated like a bad rash. Rather than going away, they have just gotten worse. Over time, I have become disgusted with these people who are obviously working out some agenda/grudge against someone they either hardly knew, were jealous of, or decided they didn't like--and who is not, to our great loss, here to defend herself. This makes these books not only unfair, but heinous.
All too common as well, are the "conspiracy books," which claim to expose the "truth" about her death. Since I am as disheartened by these as by the others, I do not buy or read them. It is hard to find credibility there when, every time someone famous dies, the "conspiracy" fanatics come crawling out of the woodwork to tell us all the truth. (If you know so much, then why is she still dead?)
As a result, I have become so careful that I hardly buy books about the Princess I cherish, unless the title makes it obvious that the book is a loving and respectful tribute, not a bashing, a dissection, or, worst of all, a Charles-and-Camilla suck-up tome.
(For example, any book by the notorious Charles-sucker, Penny Junor, is off my list.)
The reason I bought this one is because the title is composed of Diana's own words about herself the night before her wedding, so I thought the chances of it being a bashing were slim.
(In the Introduction, the author admits she is a fan who followed Diana's life and then became obsessed with her death and her own unaanswered questions--so my instincts were correct there.)
From the opening paragraph, Joy Jones Damon held my attention, as she drew a scenario of conspiracy and murder, then traced precedents from England's history to say, "This has happened before."
(She is careful to say that in no way does she accuse Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, or Charles of being part of any plan to murder the Princess of Wales.)
As unwilling as I was, and am, to believe that Diana was murdered, I finished the book wondering if indeed it were not so.
(People kept saying Diana was paranoid; well, maybe she was, but maybe with reason. She was many things, but she was never stupid--as Prince Charles and that woman he gave a title, but who will never be Queen of England, or even a lady, found to their cost.)
There are no sensation-grabbing headlines here, just nagging questions that won't go away quietly.
Why would smart, safety-concious Diana go without her seat belt? Why was Henri Paul allowed to drive the most famous couple in the world to their destination if he was obviously impaired?
And, whatever you think of Paul Burrell, why did Diana predict the exact manner of her death--and say in a note in her own handwriting, that Charles was going to have her killed to marry "the other woman?"
The only "truth" is, it doesn't matter if she was murdered, or who did it, except to see justice done for Princes William and Harry's sake. What matters is that she is gone. And whatever truths she took with her, whatever happened in that car was terrifying beyond description. For that, we may cry many more tears--but we will never know.
Princess Diana The Lamb to the Slaughter.......2004-05-07
I purchased this book based on its reviews. However, after reading it, I was disappointed in the accuracy, historically and psychologically.Ms Damon's attempt to write a cohesive and intelligient book on Princess Diana's life, before and after her marriage, did not support a solidly researched book. Her speculations of Diana's psychological issues were amateurish and not well researched. Historically, Ms. Damon tells us nothing that we did not know previous to this publication. In chapter 7, Ms Damon makes a reference to King Richard III smothering his nephews to death in order to claim the crown of England and stabilize the House of York. She tries to tie in this proposterous Shakespearian diatribe into the unstable House of Windsor, with the implication that the Windsors had Diana murdered to save their crown. Historically, both are speculative and unproven. The only thing in common between King Richard III and Diana Princess of Wales is their own personal trauma and heartache with betrayal, dishonesty, and treason thrown their way in an unfair manner. Surely they would have been comrads had they lived in the same lifetime. This book does not contain fair and balanced information on Diana and her relationships with Prince Charles and the rest of the royal family. She merely throws alot of suspicious mumblings to the wall and hopes it sticks.I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a solid and concise source on Princess Diana.
Insightful.......2003-06-16
The title caught my attention! Was this blood shed as a sacrifice? Was the Princess like a helpless lamb that required the constant protection of the shepherd? Did she trust too much and get eaten by the wolves, or did the shepherd actually lead her to the slaughter. What a unique approach the author has chosen.
Ms.Daymon gives us the background information we need with insight and a deep understanding of the Royal Family, but it's not a history lesson. She uses solid logic in putting together a conspiricy theory, but it's not alarmist (Chicken Little -"the sky is falling") or far fetched.
As the reader gets engrossed in the life of the Princess, it's as though the author has been granted an omnicient visit into the soul of "the lamb". Where did this insight come from? It becomes very obvious that Ms. Daymon has developed a strong empathic spirit that is able to capture deep feeling and a powerful sense of loyalty and trust. She really understands the strength of love and the devastation of rejection.
In the end, it all makes sense. It comes together. It's historically a logical conclusion. One closes this book and simply goes hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
A royal book.......2002-12-06
Joy Jones Daymon's book, "Princess Diana - The Lamb to the Slaughter" is more than another fan book. I found this book to be an important look at Diana's role in history and much more. Daymon raises some very important questions regarding Diana's life, and death. The book asks if we will ever know how the Royal family of Britain used her, and whether or not her death was truly an accident. The 142-page book is packed with information about British royal history, protocol, and information about the current British royal family. Daymon's book helps the reader to understand what it is like to be a member of the royal family. The book even contains a section on the British dietary concerns of the War Years. This book is a wonderful source of information for anyone interested in British royal history, and customs. "Princess Diana - The Lamb to the Slaughter" is so entertaining I had a lot of trouble putting it down. Daymon seamlessly weaves history, psychology, and Diana trivia into an intelligent, concise, and very readable book.

Within hours of the death of Princess Diana, conspiracy theories began to fly thickly across the Internet. Within 10 days, a book called Who Killed Diana? was on the bookshelves in Cairo, claiming that the princess and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed were assassinated by the British government to ensure that neither Diana, her sons, nor any future children would convert to Islam. In our conspiracy-obsessed age, such a scenario seems as likely as any other currently making the rounds, be it the faked deaths of Elvis and Jim Morrison or aliens stockpiled in a government warehouse, but as authors Thomas Sancton (the Time magazine Paris bureau chief) and Scott MacLeod (the magazine's Middle East correspondent) point out in exhaustive detail, the fatal car accident was almost undoubtedly the result of poor judgment, coincidence, and plain bad luck.
The pair conducted interviews with such key figures as Dodi's father, Mohammed, and several of the paparazzi who were first on the scene, and they give a detailed account of the events leading up to the accident, as well as profiles of all the participants, most extensively the driver Henri Paul and the princess's Egyptian boyfriend. Unlike the popular image of a macho cocaine-snorting party guy, Dodi is revealed to have been a sweet and rather insecure figure whose enormous generosity was often taken advantage of. With much personal charisma but little aside from wealth and privilege to mark him as extraordinary, he seems to have been a natural match for his stellar consort. --John Longenbaugh
Customer Reviews:
Thorough reporting for its time.......2003-04-29
Sancton and Mac Leod did one hell of a job, considering the book was published but a few months after Diana and Dodi's deaths.
They investigate the conspiracy theories that were floating around then and give evidence to either support or discredit them but they allow enough space for you to be the judge of whether the theory is based in fact or fiction.
It was impossible for the book to have come to any kind of ending, conclusive or not, because at the time it was written, evidence was still being sorted out, arraignments were being made, and people were being interviewed. In short, everything was still a mess.
I highly recommend this book for its unbiased reporting and also for the minute by minute account of Diana and Dodi's last day alive.
Death of a Princess: The Investigation by Thomas Sancton.......2001-07-02
I liked this book. Very interesting. I followed all the media news and just could not get enough to satisfy my curiosity until I read this book. I don't know why I have been so touched by her death? It is a mystery to me, also? I just liked her when she was alive and was shocked at hearing about her accident. I, too, ordered the tape of John Elton's song about her. I want to thank all the readers who gave their comments on this book, it helped me to buy this book.
Not Conclusive.......2000-11-06
Interesting facts about the papparazzi and the holiday leading up to the accident which killed Diana. The chapter reporting the engineer's finding is not only technical, but gives supporting proof of a collision with a Fiat prior to the deadly collision with the 13th pillar of the Alma Tunnel. This book gives a handful of theories to think about, but the only thing not convincing to me is the conspiracy theory that the Princess was going to wed Dodi. The ending is not conclusive.
The Investigation.......2000-09-23
Although this is an interesting look at how French authorities conduct an investigation it is not conclusive.
Outdated look at Princess Diana's death.......2000-09-12
This book contains many factual mistakes, but since it was written over 2 years ago, before many facts were uncovered by the French investigation, I am not really penalizing it much for that.
About half of the book consists of background information on Dodi and Diana. This part could have been much shorter. I don't need to know, nor do I care about, Dodi's favorite pets as a child.
The actual part related to the investigation was an evenhanded treatment of the facts as they were known in 1998. To the authors' credit, they investigate the most wild theories in a fair manner. When information was not known or available, they plainly state so. Unfortunately, they hint darkly a few times in the book that a source (which they can't name) tells them there is 'something big' not known about the case. This shot down the authors' credibility.

Agents of the Wyld.......2000-05-13
The Ratkin have a purpose; when all the other werecreatures fail to keep humanity in line, it's the Ratkin's turn. They are purely of the Wyld, and though the Weaver has its place, it often gets out of line. That's where the Ratkin step in. The Ratkin seek to hasten the Apocalypse because it will provide for a new beginning, and the hordes and hordes of Ratkin are more than ready for this day. In this book, you'll find a lot of good stuff. The Ratkin are along the lines of the Bone Gnawers, just with more enthusiasm and take themselves even less seriously. As a result, there's a lot of neat stuff in here; since television shows (particularly cartoons) are often given a lot of attachment and watched a lot, they have a reflection in the Umbra, just like everything else. Tom and Jerry is a good example, and for the Ratkin Engineers, there's Pinky and the Brain. Anyway, aside from all that, the Ratkin book is well worth reading if you have a sense of humor about it; they're spastic, destructive, and at the same time, quite shrewd about what they do. Should another War of Rage erupt, you can bet the Ratkin would be messing any Garou that got in their way...
A Great Source of "Gimmies," But Logic-Impaired.......2000-04-13
Like so many White Wolf expansion books, this one pulls the rug out from under the Storyteller by reversing many of the earlier sourcebooks' assumptions and by loading down player-characters with previously unavailable goodies. Nothing new so far, but this time the changed premises are really silly. Rattus norvegicus, the Norway rat (which the book keeps pointing out is THE rat we're talking about) is a parasite on Homo sapiens. It couldn't survive in anything like its present numbers without man and his works, such as apartment buildings and grain silos. So the Norway rat would necessarily be a great friend of the Weaver, no? NO! Also, remember that Rat is the Totem Spirit of the Bone Gnawer tribe. So Rat must be pretty confused, or pretty disgusted, by the Ratkins' determination to exterminate all Garou without regard to tribe. And then you have the ability of some Ratkin to enter a cartoon realm and/or use cartoon abilities just because rats often feature in Saturday morning cartoons (e.g. Pinky and the Brain). In sum, the Ratkins presented in this sourcebook are slavering cartoonified lunatics dedicated to bringing civilization crashing down around their own ears for - no reason in particular. If that sounds like fun to you, hey, knock yourself out.
ratkin.......2000-01-04
It is an ecetial piece in the werewolf series. I have spent many the hour batlling it out with my buddies with this addition to our war against the wyrm. Get this book if you want to bring your game to a new and higher level.
Ratkin, the dirtiest(no pun intended) fighters on Gaia........1999-11-21
Wow! Raw, energetic, and untamed. Ratkin and the book itself. I suspected a few things about them, but it was nice to be justified and have something to point at when it came right down to it. I like the view on Ratkin and their world. The only thing I have problems with are possibly the 'Freak' aspects. They are fairly powerful and very disruptive, not to mention weird. Still the new gifts, different perspective on old ones, and new stats/abilities are new breath to old campaigns. Among all the shifting breeds it looks like the Ratkin are the most prepared for the end of it all. With the growing trend in WW toward the "Last Days" theme Ratkin will truely come into their own. If you want Ratkin characters, buy it. If you want a change of pace in the foes your Garou are fighting, buy it! I keep having this vision of the movie Aliens when the marines were being overrun as being what it would be like to stumble over a Ratkin nest.
A great title from White Wolf.......1999-11-04
Now you too can be one of the rats. Included are the rules for playing as one of the freak aspects, ratkin aspects formed in the modern day which represent some of the most bizarre and awesome characters possible in your troupe. Enjoy this one!

Book Description
Today's most all-inclusive reference of technical indicators--what they are and how to use them to add value to any trading program
Technical analysis has become an incredibly popular investors' tool for gauging market strength and forecasting short-term direction for both markets and individual stocks. But as markets have changed dramatically, so too have technical indicators and elements. The Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators provides an alphabetical and up-to-date listing of hundreds of today's most important indicators. It defines what each indicator is, explains the philosophy behind the indicator, and of the greatest importance provides easy-to-understand guidelines for using it in day-to-day trading.
Broad in both scope and appeal, this one-of-a-kind reference painstakingly updates information from the previous edition plus defines and discusses nearly 100 new indicators.

Consider This A Should Have Text.......2007-04-29
The second edition of "The Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators" is a significant change from the first edition; the 15 years between the editions, commonness of personal computers and the software applications to perform the technical analysis of market equities (stocks) has made accessible to the private investor what was once the province of the institutions. The popularity of the various software tools given to those investors has also enabled them, without some experienced guidance, the ability to gain that experience the painful way. Mr. Colby has provided an excellent text to guide those exploring all of this new information, a way to construct models and simulations, adhering to his professional guidance, and the cyclopedia of information and some mathematics, to get dependable and desired results from testing historical data. Mathematical explanations are easily followed as text or formulae, and sometimes with the inclusion of the programming with MetaStock software. The math is easily followed and should be well understood by anyone involved in this aspect of market analysis. I have both the first and second editions, and keep each in a prominent spot on the shelf of my library. One should keep in mind, this book is an encyclopedia rather than a dictionary.

Indicator formulas are not in Metastock, only some trading sytems are.......2006-05-22
For the earlier review commenting that the formulas are only in Metastock I must comment that this is not the case.
The indicators in the book are described in varying ways:
1. Most of the indicators (and the method of their calculation) are described in prose. Sometimes there are no mathematical formulas visible, as the calculation is only described in the text.
2. Very often the mathematical formula for the indicator is printed out. From these formulas it is quite straightforward to implement them in your selected calculator (be it in your head, Excel, any programming language..)
3. For the most used and known indicators, the calculation is layed out in detail with printed step-by-step excel-sheets. For example, it is impossible for you not to undestand from the book how to calculate Exponential Moving Averages.
However, the book does not only include definitions about market indicators, but also examples of their implementation. For most of the indicators a trading system is proposed (that is, exact rules when to buy or sell using the data given by the indicator), and the implementation of these systems are indeed described in Metastock language. Still the described systems are quite easy to understand even without Metastock background. The meaning of some of the metastock function calls may take some figuring out, but usually given the context of the text the code is quite easy to understand. Personally I am also a programmer and have never used Metastock, and still find all of the book most usable.
The only negative aspect of the book I can say is that the level of description on the indicators varies quite widly. Some indicators may get several pages, while others are passed by with 10 lines of text. It would have been nice if all the indicators would have been given the same level of treatment, with at least simple mathematical descrioption for each. I usually prefer simple mathematics, and it was little disturbing to notice that sometimes formulas are described only in text.
To conclude, this is after all a very comprehensive book, and by far the best collection of data on market indicators I have seen. Highly recommended dependless whether you are using metastock or not.
The Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators.......2006-03-20
I have been in Technical analysis for more than 4 years and have many books on the subject but of all the books I have "The Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators" is the most misguided title ever. Motivation for this statement is that the book is almost like an empty vessel. The author relates to numerous indicators and indicates how successful or unsuccessful they are but without explanations which make it difficult to comprehend. Also nowhere in the book does he indicate how these indicators should be used which, in my opinion, should be the essence of a book with this title. The author attempts to correct this on his website at: www.robertwcolby.com.
The Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators, Second Edit.......2003-07-14
A must for the serious investor. A concise and easy to understand examination of technical market indicators. Mr. Colby's book is invaluable when determining the usefulness of indicators. This book is about as close as you can get to a "one stop shop" for technical research.
