Book Description
The steamy story of the reunion of a man and a woman who share a past -- one that led to a dangerous game of deception.
Winston and Arnelle, the best friends of the beloved characters from Darrien Lee's bestselling books, All That and a Bag of Chips and Been There, Done That, seem to have it all: good looks, professional success, and an irrepressible appeal to the opposite sex. However, in What Goes Around Comes Around readers learn that they share something else -- a shocking secret buried deep in their past.
Winston, a dapper young attorney, is king of the conquest. He has
bedded so many different women over the years he can barely remember them. However, he finally falls under the spell of a sexy vixen named Arnelle Lapahie, a sports medicine doctor whose office is in the same building as Winston's law firm. While Arnelle finds Winston handsome and tempting, she is hurt that he doesn't remember crossing paths with her years earlier. Arnelle must decide whether she should harp on the past or attempt to make a fresh start with the man of her dreams.
Packed with emotional drama, What Goes Around Comes Around is a fascinating story of two people who must test their ability to forgive, trust, and, ultimately, love.

Summer Read.......2006-06-02
I like this novel. It does has a quite of twist and turns in it . It didn't start off hitting Winston and Arnelle together immediately.Their relationship grew as well as, other relatonship has to grow.It was like a rebirth among stranger to friends. If you ever being a college student living on campus you know what I means. There are many, many activites goes on.There are many changings you see everyday meeting new faces everyday.First time for everything can result in pregnancy. It was a nice novel to read .
excellent read.......2006-03-19
excellent read, i have read all 4 books in a week. Darrien Lee is a great author
We've seen this before.......2005-12-17
This your typical love story about a dude named Winston and a woman named Arnelle that find they are a perfefct match for each other. Winston decides to turn in his players card after getting with Arnelle. But a secret from the past tries to break up their future together and they have to see if their love is strong enough to survive the rough past.
I really didn't think this book was all that good it was a bit boring at times. You know what's going to happen in the end and I had problems with some of the dialogues because they were too simple. Every character seemed to get along with each other oh too well. It was like the book was set in a utopia setting. There was not enough drama, not enough twists and not enough excitement. But maybe I'm biased because I've read so many books, but I didn't think it was all that great.
Great Story!.......2005-09-17
I really enjoyed this follow-up to the authors previous books. You got introduced to young Winston (Skeeter) Carter III, when he attended college with his best friend Craig in "All That and a Bag of Chips." You like him, but he kind of rubs you the wrong way! You got to know him a little more in "Been There, Done That" and you begin to respect him. Now in his own story, you will love him!
This is the story of Winston Carter III and Arnelle Lapahie. While others say that this book is the same as the others I find it different. Each page capitivates you and leaves you wanting to find out what the next page holds! Kudos to Darrien Lee! Continue to bring us the love! Relationship love, and love of family!
Being that I LOVE the two previous books, I was excited when this one hit the shelves. I read it then and I just finished reading it for the second time, earlier this week. Now my mind will be nice and ready for the sequel "When Hell Freezes Over"! I suggest that you read the previous two before you dive into "What Goes Around, Comes Around", it's not required, but I think that it will bring you closer to the characters. ENJOY!!
Love is never forgotten.......2005-07-27
Darrien Lee gives us another love story with a twist. Though predictable still intriguing.
Arnell is stunningly beautiful yet feisty. I have a beautiful home, career and friends that I can lean on when times get tough. The only problem is Winston, a very promising attorney who is ruggedly handsome and a thorn in my side. How can I share a friendship with my two best friends and their children and not have to deal with him? He keeps acting like nothing is wrong, but he knows what is doing? He wonders why I am so angry. Doesn't he remember? Or does he?
Winston Carter III, "Skeeter," has had so many women it is ridiculous. There hasn't been a woman that could resist his good looks and charm. Why does this "devil woman" insist on giving me a hard time? I can't even go see my godchildren without her giving me mouth about something. There is something about her that I can't put my finger on though?

Remove from "Eye Problems" category.......2006-11-20
This is not a book about "Eye Problems" and should be removed from the "Eye Problems" category.
This one is worth it! .......2006-09-24
Some people are skeptical about Karma. Thoose are the ones, who need to learn about Karma. Done a lot of bad in your life? Read this book. Maybe you can pick up a karma payment plan soon. This book is simple, and easy to read. A good book all around. I would love to suggest this book to others who are interested in self-improvement and life improvement all-around improvement in thier lives.
After I read this book, I took a sudden glance back at my life and thought, "I wonder if I could have read this book five years ago, where I would be today...."
VERY BASIC LOOK AT BUDDHIST TEACHING OF KARMA.......2004-10-28
Mr. Mack has written a short, very funny look at karma-lite and it should not take you more than a few hours to get through this book. Although entertaining, I wish the book had more substance to it. Mr. Mack presents the Buddhist teaching of karma and gives pretty short shrift to the Hindu perception, even though, in my own opinion, the Hindu view makes more sense when it comes to explaining the world and why things happen.
One of the shortest chapters is Why Bad Things Happen to Good People and this surprised me. With AIDS and Holocausts, child molestation and monsoons that kill thousands, one would think that Mr. Mack would have spent a little more time with why this stuff gets dumped on innocent people all the time. Another chapter might have been Why Good Things Happen to Bad People, since we all know liars, thieves, adulterers, etc., who never pay for their crimes or transgressions. According to traditional Buddhism these people will 'pay' in a next life, making it balance out, but Mr. Mack appears to have no belief in reincarnation (or if he does, he hides it well), leaving one to wonder how karma works things out in the end.
There are a few contradictions in the book, when anecdotes are presented to show karma in action. A shy, country-music-hating man finds himself at a country music festival with his wife. He hums classical music, does not tap his toes and for this negative karmic action he pays when the porta potty he is in tips over on him and covers him in poo. Yet karma is supposed to be objective and not punishment. Would the porta potty not have turned over if a Shania Twain fan had been in it? A fish-hating woman puts a goldfish into a restaurants outdoor faux pond after deciding she does not want it in the house anymore, and the next day the family sees that the pond has been drained, therefore killing the fish. If she had not taken the goldfish there would the pond not have been drained? How are the 2 karmically connected at all?
For those who have little knowledge of the very basics of karma this book can answer a few questions, but if you're really interested, I would suggest books written by either Hindu teachers or Buddhist teachers, as they have more information, depth and answer the questions about Life that most of us have regarding pain, illness, suffering, death, etc.
Short, simple book on the basics of karma.......2003-07-06
_Karma 101_ gives a simple, step-by-step path to instruction in the ways of Taoist/Buddhist philosophy, especially karma. Not a complicated or exhaustive source, but a good start for the curious reader.
Yay, Karma!.......2002-12-03
I have been interested in Buddhism and eastern philosophies for a while. But like many people these days, I have a hard time finding the time to devote myself to anything besides work and sleep...So this book was a fun and informative help to me. I happen to be living with some very devoted Buddhists right now, and they also read the book and loved it-said that it is right on-well written and truly helpful for people wanting to learn more with little time to delve...Thouroughly enjoyable education!!!

If I'm honest & I usually am, this started as a book about actually being able to write a book more than it was some big thriller or even a story. I basically started it for something to do. Well, that's how it started anyway, but the more I got into it & it began to evolve & the more people that I'd never met before, told me how much they enjoyed reading the odd chapter I'd given to a friend that was passed on to them & the more I realised that I had something worth shearing with others & I began to realise that it has what it takes to keep people's attention. These people kept asking for more, so I'm giving it to them & I can't remember the last time I've has so much fun remember things that happened to make my life a fullfilling one. Why don't you take a read & you'll see what I mean!

James Allen Keith is a very handsome young man, with cute little dimples in his cheeks and a charismatic sparkle in his eyes.
THAT ARE TO DIE FOR! The only problem is, that behind those etyes, exists a demon of EVIL, with an I.Q. far above those of mere mortal men. You see, James is presently incarcerated within the fortified walls of the Chicago Psychiatric Hospital for the Criminally Insane. As the good doctor's notes clearly show: Date: 03-15-75 Re: James Allen Keith; This patient exhibits a deep seated desire to blame others for problems of his own making andhe also exhibits all of the tell-tale signs of a paranoid schzophrenic. In as much as, he displays the characteristic symptoms of behavior, such as grandiose delusions, hallucinations and an excessive amount of delusional jealousy. The only thing that puzzles the doctor, is the fact, that James successfully carried out a daring daylight robbery and had ample time to escape. Yet, he was arrested at the scene of the crime, just leaned back upon a comfortable chair, admiring his handiwork. James says; "The flames below upwards, embracing the sky in a dance of death, as if alive, like a demon, devouring everything in its' path. Upwards the flames climb, a choking grey to black smoke, drifting upwards, then floating away, like a thief in the night!" I guess you could say; "James has a way with words." But, there are five words that James can not stand to hear!

I started reading this book one night just to have something to help me fall asleep, but was I ever surprised! After I got to reading it, I didn't go to sleep until I finished reading. At one point it made me cry and at the end I knew why the words, "What goes Around, Comes Around" tears at his soul! Read it and you will know why!
The best book I've ever read!.......2003-10-25
I have read a lot of books in my life, but this is one of the best that I have read. Usually it takes a while for a book to catch my interest, but this book caught my attention from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I finished reading the hole book. If this book doesn't become a movie, then the movie business has really lost a winner! This is a brilliant book.

Book Description
Bridget Jones and Carrie Bradshaw move over! Chick lit meets Mean Girls meets hipster graphic novel in this compelling, gossipy package by fashion world maven and celebrated artist Daisy de Villeneuve. Fresh on the (high) heels of her first book, He Said, She Said, Daisy doesn't mince words as she delves into the world of single girls, sex, dating, and the cruelty of female friendships. In a series of gossipy vignettes, What Goes Around Comes Around lets readers in on the sordid details of girlfriends who aren t really friends at all ("what they all have in common is that they are of the same type: 'Bitch'."). Each vignette is quirkily illustrated with Daisy's signature cartoon-like felt-tip ink drawings. Pushing the envelope of style and attitude, What Goes Around Comes Around is a fresh addition to every girl's bookshelf.

What do you do when you have suddenly won the biggest lottery prize in history, and you have spent your life being screwed by incompetent or unethical managers? Carlin Laffer took his winnings and traveled the world for a year before he had a vision. He would open a company to aid the common man and woman who were the victims. The general public was constantly being screwed by managers, sales people, doctors, lawyers, insurance companies, lobbyists, Political Action Committees, legislators, and others. The email from Gary, Indiana, required attention. A company named Entertainment Unlimited was buying up property at below market value. Senior citizens were losing a share of the monies they deserved to have available for their retirement years. Cry Wolf needed to step in, and determine how valid this complaint was, and to put a stop to it if it was.

Mediocre.......2007-03-02
I was really excited when I heard about this book and picked up a copy for myself only to find that half of the works fell miserably flat. Maybe I just missed the humor, but nothing in this book struck me as really imaginative or funny. It looked more like someone threw darts at ideas instead of putting thought into which author was writing each ad. Not only that, but my unfamiliarity with some of the authors and the short length of the book didn't help. I wanted something a little longer, but this had very few authors in it, and with all the famous writers out there I should think they could have come up with a few more.
I think it was worth the $0.50 to satisfy my curiousity but I'm going to give it away.
Book Description
"Reversing the Lens" brings together noted scholars in history, anthropology, sociology, ethnic studies and film studies to promote film as a powerful classroom tool that can be used to foster cross-cultural communication with respect to race and ethnicity. Through such films as "Skin Deep," "Slaying the Dragon," and "Mississippi Masala," contributors demonstrate why and how visual media help delineate various forms of critical visual thinking and examine how racialization is either sedimented or contested in the popular imagination. Not limited to classroom use, "Reversing the Lens" is relevant to anyone who is curious about how video and film can be utilized to expose race as a social construction that-in dialogue with other potential forms of difference-is subject to political contestation.

Book Description
Dancing on the beach after a swim in the Mediterranean, taking the waters in fashionable Baden-Baden, boating on the Black Sea – the myriad uses of water imply that the term itself possesses multiple meanings. Focusing on Europe, this book addresses how using water for relaxation intersects with ideas about class, gender, nationality, and consumption. It also explores the ways Europeans have turned to water for pleasure, relaxation, and profit over the last two hundred years as the enjoyment of free time developed from a privilege into a right. Contributors capture key moments of social and cultural transition in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries — moments during which new social distinctions emerged, debates about nationalism and cosmopolitanism flourished, concepts of hygiene became politicized, and attitudes about travel and vacationing developed.
What kinds of relationships exist between recreational uses of water and cultural, social, or political practices? How have such relationships found representation in art, landscaping, or architecture? Who visits water resorts or beaches and what role have these places played in the emergence of collective identities or in lending authority to social distinctions? How does the organization of leisure activities around water reflect ideas about purity and pollution, in a moral, social, or physical sense?
This exciting venture into ‘uncharted waters’ will fascinate historians, geographers and anyone with a keen interest in European cultural studies, art and landscape.

Customer Reviews:
The eBay Myth-Bu$ter: An excellent start.......2007-05-07
Being a New Zealander, naturally I prefer to use Trademe.co.nz as that is our local Australasian auction site!
Being focused specifically with busting myths about online auctions Myth-Bu$ter is quite specialised. However, many of the principles found in the book can also be applied to any other local auction sites such as Trademe.
I wholeheartedly recommend the book to kiwis, but (to use a pun) the book does require some unencryption from the American language!
Incredibly useful and concise.......2006-04-07
I have been a buyer on ebay for a couple of years and would like to get started selling. Due to a combination of procrastination and lack of confidence I have not yet taken the leap. Well, now I have the confidence to try. All of my lingering questions were answered by this book. It doesn't walk you through getting started, that would be a waste since that info is available from so many other sources. But it does address things like determining when to start and finish an auction, how long to set the auction for, when to use Buy it Now or set reserve prices, etc.
The author has a really great writing style- not cutesy or gimmicky and very readable. (I read the book in one day- I should have been sleeping, but I couldn't put it down.) He gives great examples of different scenarios that help the reader to be better able apply the information. He tells us his opinion and the opinions of others- he does not bash ebay or paypal but he does give honest observations of some of their practices and services -whether good or bad or simply necessary. I have read alot of informational type books on various subjects lately and reading this one was a really refreshing change of pace. Mr. Busch wrote with confidence but there was nothing self-congratulatory about his style at all- he was even charmingly self-deprecating at times (but not cutesy- I hate that!) The book has very straight forward advice and doesn't waste time trying to hype one way of doing things over another.
Mr. Busch's personal business style is also very appealing and one that I would be happy to emulate. As a buyer, I wish more sellers would follow his example. As a buyer I have often wondered if it was really necessary to put all of those terms and conditions and warnings in the auction- I thought there must just be a ton of bad buyers out there to warrant such practice- but now I know differently. I also find it extremely annoying when I encounter animation or overly busy backgrounds and - worst of all- sound and music when I view an auction.
This book would be great for anyone- there are great tips for buyers- a couple that I will definitely put into use. I would recommend that a person get a little bit of experience on ebay as a buyer before reading this book- then you will really know what is being described and it will have more meaning because you can apply it to your own experiences. A few transactions would really be all it takes. But definitely get this book!!
Excellent Resource.......2006-02-21
My veiw is, you can never read enough books on the subject of eBay. There is always something new you can learn from any book on the subject. I am still an "amateur" but, things are looking good for an amateur...please critique me if you wish:

Clearly one of the better eBay books........2006-01-30
In attempting to get started on eBay as a seller, I read about 10 books. Most covered the same ground, in pretty much the same way. I appreciated Mr.Busch's approach and believe I got more out of this one book than the others that I read up till then. This book is very good.
clears the air.......2005-09-13
Busch hopes to disabuse common misconceptions circulating amongst many eBay users. He presupposes that you have already done some buying or selling on eBay. He goes straight into explaining various aspects. Like how sniping is not against the rules or even the spirit of the auction. And even if it was, it is very problematic that this could be banned.
Another common topic he addresses is that if you lose an auction by $1, say, that somehow if you had bidded $2, you would have won the item. This is not necessarily so. The winner might have placed a maximum bid of $20 above yours. But the eBay mechanism only charged the winner $1 about your bid, which was the second highest.
If you are planning on using eBay frequently, you might want to slowly go through this book. It could be a huge time and worry saver.
