apartment and land investments. Go figure. I guess they wanted to cover a cash-flow investment and a speculative investment. Authors do a good job explaining the numbers. Very graph oriented. Book is chock full of graphs and charts in relation to the numbers. Chapter on dealing with tenants, negotiating, forms of ownership and one on financing.
Investing in land as a speculative investment is rarely for beginners(land is a cash drain) as most real estate investors are looking for cash either from flow or profit from a quick flip. So if you want info on both for some reason, check this book out.

Great and classic Jewish stories are told here. The collection is diverse and vast, and comes from a wide variety of Jewish sources through the generations. This work has been in print for many years and deserves to remain so , even though there are many collections now which overlap some of its content.
Many of these stories are so great that they can be read and reread, enjoyed over and over again.
A book to come home to.......2004-12-23
Like many of the other reviewers, I started reading a copy of this book in my parents' library when I was very young, maybe 8 or 9. I started with the jokes and, as I grew older, graduated to the more complex stories. My favorite part was always the stories of the wonder-working rabbis, especially the Spanish rabbi who tried to bring about the coming of the Messiah.
I read this book over and over and over through my teenage years, and many years later, when I was in my 40s, I finally bought my own copy. Upon this later re-reading, I was able to recognize how internalized these stories had become, a part of my own intellectual landscape.
I'm not particularly observant, and I definitely fall into the Heritage Jew not Religious Jew category. But these stories fulfill needs for both types. There can be few better ways to explore the heritage of my people than by dipping into the stories included here. All the humor, cleverness, courage, scholarship, and mysticism associated with Jews and Judaism through the centuries--if not the millennia--may be found herein.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough for Jews, and I believe that non-Jews will find it a fascinating and accessible window into an oft-misunderstood or underestimated people.
A dynamic source of Jewish culture, spirit, and wit.......2001-12-08
Like one of the other reviewers, I started reading this book when I was a child, probably around 11, and continue to read it and reread it. It has some of the most wonderful Jewish jokes that exist. The most amazing thing for me personally, however, which makes me want to recommend it to others, is that I am a person who identifies a lot with being Jewish and it feels as though a huge amount of my Jewishness, and how it has affected my thinking and way of being, comes from Ausubel's Treasure of Jewish Folklore!!! I think it is one of the most enjoyable ways that a person could immerse him/herself in the essence of Jewish culture.

I started reading my father's copy at the age of 6 (I'm now 40 and I have the 1960 edition). It has been a huge part of understanding my Judaism. It's also a "better mousetrap" of a book; the selections are well-written, informative, funny and charming. I had the book out again recently to learn and perform a couple of the songs.

Darn near encycopedic tome of folklore, but very readable, colorful stuff. Regardless of your faith, I think you'll find this book as full of wisdom, authenticity, wonder, and humor as I did. Desperately too bad that it's out of print.

The measure of the Soviet experiment through the arts.......2000-04-02
This book does a great job of giving the reader an overall perspective of the Soviet experience through her arts. From the beginning optimistic nationalistic songs, to the later stories of the youth groups (Komsomol) and futuristic views of the USSR, the reader becomes enveloped in the pride the Soviets had for their country and the hope that they had in her. I became very interested in these passages and consequently became somewhat connected to their cause. I gained a lot of respect for the Soviet artists. However, one cannot help but feel a sense of sorrow that the project went wrong; it was, after all, the greatest social experiment in history. I cannot give 5 stars because I would have liked more visual arts; overall, though, an excellent book.

this book is very helpful for a good panzer general campaign I was having the hardest time defeating the French of all people but this book helped me plow right through the low country. I really liked the fact it included a flow chart and the things that german adjutant tells you before and after missions

usually these game guides are badly written or incomplete, but this one is great. All the details you need for everthing in the game. My only complaint is that you get small pictures on every page so you really have to look hard to see what is being described in the text. If you are stuck in the game this is worth having.
A polished product.......2003-01-29
Panzer Dragoon Orta will redefine the way games are made. Arguably the best Xbox game currently, perfectionists will want to own this book that gives much exposition on secrets and comprehensive walkthroughs.
The walkthrough section deals mainly with the 10 storylines. Pointers and hints are given at tricky areas in the game; the determinant in your path options are also highlighted. Screenshots accompany each paragraph that teaches you the tricks of the trade. Tables are used to further illustrate the game's mechanics and enchances the over all usefulness of the guide.
Pandora's box no longer contains any secret once you get hold of this encyclopedia for PDO. Learn how to unlock 12 sub scenerios. Lots of CGs are unlockable, not just from this game, from the previous incarnations of Panzer Dragoons as well, mostly the introduction and ending CGs. Conditons that must be fulfilled for each extra to unveil itself are explicitly expressed in this gem. However, the S rankings walkthrough for sub scenerios and mini games are lacking. The criteria is there but you need to devise a strategy to achieve S rank yourself.
To sum it up, this is one of Prima's better efforts at putting together a superb guide.

Amazingly worth the price!.......2006-12-14
This product was previously released under the name "Thomas Nelson Study Reference Library" for about the same price. I could not believe that this offer was real, but it was! You truly get what is advertised. In fact, I am still amazed at the extensive amount and quality of the information made available through this product.
The library is based on Libronix search technology. For this reason, there is really no limit to the books that can be added. This is, in fact, on small drawback. Due to the open-ended nature of this library, Nelson Publishers will nag you quite often about purchasing add-on books that are far more costly than the original package. These nag screens are presented as pop-ups down in the lower right hand corner of your display and will be either maddening or tolerable, depending on your level of patience. I reason that, for the price, this is an extremely small aggravation. After all, the new releases are interesting, and it is comforting to know that the product continues to be supported.
Installation of the library is not quite straightforward. There is a registration step that is mandatory before the product registration grace period expires. It is essential that you back up the registration codes! I wrote them on the CD label, and am glad that I did when I had to reinstall the software later.
Another challenge is in installing the books on your hard drive, which you will probably want to do since hard drive space is far less of an issue than it used to be. The installation of the software does not install the books as well--this is a manual step. The drop-down menus are complex and somewhat confusing, so you will need to read and follow the instructions carefully.
You will find that a lot of Nelson Publisher's information is redundant between books, so that when you search for a narrow topic and find the results in five different books, all five books are likely going to say the same thing. However, what they do say is quite useful.
One of the most outstanding uses that I have found from this library is the KJV breakdown by word, with word-for-word references to Greek and Hebrew equivalents. A full expository research can be quickly performed on any Biblical text. With full Vine's and Strong's resources integrated into the product, this becomes an indispensable study reference library.
The SFL books are great study resources for Bible study groups or personal edification.
Perhaps the greatest accolade that I can give this product is that, despite a year of heavy use, I have yet to access all of the information available in this library--not because it is hard to access, but simply because I just haven't had the time to explore the myriad of information available!

once you get pass the installation process and update it to Libronix Library, you have a good bible software program with a decent library. Nelson did come out with a newer version but the included books are a bit different, the older version has a better line up.
Nelson ultimate reference - Nice.......2006-07-20
When I bought this product, I was not sure it will work in my Win XP, for it said 'run under 'Win 3.1, 95, 98, 00'. Further I didn't know whether it will be integrated to my existing Libronix.
It works perfectly well in my Windows XP system and Libronix. In the reviews in christianbook.com, there is some complaint that it does not work in XP, but it's not the case for me. The official response from nelson seems to be 'no support for XP', but anyway it works in my case, and it has such a nice collection including classics like Confession, Imitation of Jesus and so on. I had only one version of bible in my Libronix 2.1 version (KJV), and through this collection now I have NRSV, NLT. Lots of good study references. (In my personal opinion, it's same or better than E-bible standard in content).
Although it is desinged for Logos Library System, old system of Libronix, it works perfectly well in my Libronix. I linked IVP New Bible Commentary (IVP collectoin) and this NLT version (Nelson collection), and it worked. Well spent money.
Only weak point : No 'offcial support' for XP from Nelson. No upgrade, maybe (Classics don't need upgrade, huh).
Nelson Reference Library.......2006-07-01
This CD-ROM is one of the best I have used. I recommend this to anyone who is serious about bible study. The price for all that you get is wonderful. The program downloads easily and if you have any problems, The Nelson website and Microsoft website are very helpful. I am very happy with my purchase.
