wow, incredible improvement to the first edition. coverage of all important aspects (i can think of) on inflation. history, example issues, purpose of use from investor & issuer as well as technical points regarding calculation and pricings.

Is Sanity Possible in a Profession Gone Insane?.......1999-11-22
A must read for lawyers and law students. Wow! I first read Benjamin Sell's extraordinarily crafted "Soul of the Law" -- part anthropological study, part social commentary, part psychological self-help book -- as a young lawyer fresh out of a judicial clerkship, while searching for a firm job. It blew me away! What a grim portrait of the legal profession; of lawyers; of our legal system. Grim...Yes. But very telling! Had I read this book prior to enrolling in law school, I probably would never have went. With three years of my life invested, and a hundred-or-so grand in education loans to pay back, I deduced that I had no choice but to land that firm job. But the lawyer of today does not have to let his career consume him, the book ultimately teaches us. Purpose and fullfilment are, believe it or not, out there...maybe. a good start to a new lifestyle, must read.......2004-03-15
i read this book after i became vegan, and although i knew much of this information already, some was still new to me. i reccomend this book for all people interested in becoming involved with animals rights and/or vegetarianism. while this book was written in the late 80's, and statistical facts may be a little off, much of the inhumane treatment of these animals has yet to change at all. it is hard to see how any person with a conscience could turn their back on the issues posed in this book. please read it for the sake of yourself, the environment, and your fellow earthlings, the animals.

In this wonderfully illustrated book, Mr. Burroughs tells about the horrors of todays chicken-farms and factory farms in general. This book is good and safe for kids, but also applies to anyone else who wants to know more about where their chicken nuggets came from. Buy several copies and give them to all your friends!

Good book but I believe there are better.......2006-11-27
The good: This book is easy to read and understand, assumes very little of the reader other than a general understanding of current science. Explainations are clear and build logically throughout the book. Very little math - any high school math would be enough to understand what little there is in this book. Information is up to date and the book has many good pictures and diagrams to aid in understanding.
The not as good: I would have liked more in depth detail. I know this is somewhat subjective the book still has nearly 500 pages, however the text often only covers 60% of a page. In comparison to the at least two compeating books "Astronomy Today" and "The Universe" have over 700 pages each and more like 90% of a text page coverage just to grossly compare them. Each of these books also are easy to read, have good pictures and diagrams too.
So all in all this book is good and covers the subject well, but if you wish more detail other books may be better choices.

This book is really good, especially for those interested in the universe and its formation. It also comes with a CDRom with video clips and a study guide for students. A useful, and interesting book!
