I wont buy this book because.........2007-03-30
I came to this conclusion when I was able to take a peek inside. Im not a huge star wars fan, but when does JODI tell luke he has the power to lift his ship from the muck. YODA is a JEDI....and I was pretty sure he was in the muck with Luke.

Merrill and Donna are in the "time management business". Because they work in Grandville (Michigan - USA) I was quite interested. Grandville is the closest harbor to my birth place. It was also Christian Dior birthplace and childhood paradise. This would not be enough to give 4 stars to this book. In fact, even if this book looks boring to me. Very classical typography, layout. No illustration. Despite of all these drawbacks professional experience of Merrill and Donna are very helpful and clearly distilled in this book. Buy it with Outlook 2000 software.

Frankly...I don't care much about geology, this was just a required book for my class and it was cheaper to get it through Amazon than to buy it through our bookstore.

The renormalization group (RG) theory of fully developed hydrodynamical turbulence is a new and developing field of research. This book gives a detailed and comprehensive review of the results obtained using this theory over the past 20 years. The authors have systematically adopted the highly successful field theoretic RG technique, which has a reliable base in the form of quantum- field renormalization theory, involves powerful and convenient methods of calculation such as analytic regularization and minimal subtractions, and allows one to obtain results which are difficult to achieve using other methods. In the first chapter the basic theory and technique are presented, while the next chapter deals with more advanced aspects of the theory, including the critical dimensions of various composite operators, infrared asymptotic behavior of scaling functions, the equation of spectral energy balance, and calculating the amplitudes in scaling laws. The third chapter presents a series of examples, such as turbulent convection of passive scalar admixture, the influence of anisotropy and gyrotropy, magnetohydrodynamical turbulence, and Langmuir turbulence of plasma. In contrast to more established disciplines, such as the theory of critical phenomena, in the RG theory of turbulence there is as yet no unique and generally accepted calculation technique. For this reason the authors also present the necessary information on the renormalization theory of the RG technique, making the subject accessible to a wide range of readers. The book will therefore be a useful source of reference for students and researchers in turbulence, statistical mechanics, and related fields, including those with no prior experience of using quantum-field techniques.

I normally don't care for fiction,but this book is an exception.
It may be fiction,but it is based on fact and real people.
This book offers a view of the politics of Disraeli's time and where political power really exists.
Well written and recommended book!
One caveat:
I have the Penguin Classic paperback and I don't recommend this edition as the print is very small.Thomas Braun edited it with notes for each chapter.It would have been great if not for the print.
A novel written by an English Prime Minister.......2005-02-03
This book caused a stir in its day if only because some famous political figures were actually very thinly disguised in the novel. It also was a book that clearly stated to the English aristocracy that if England was to be saved from imminent obscurity, the aristocracy had to change their ways. The book presents a very interesting picture of British politics during the twelve years following the Reform Bill of 1832 told by a crafty and sage politician who could also write a good story. Certainly one of Disraeli's most entertaining works.
An Interesting but dated political-romantic novel........1997-08-31
Coningsby is an interesting political-romantic novel set in early nineteenth century England. In much of the first part of the book, Disreali introduces the main characters and the political and social background against which the action in the later parts of the book will be played. In this book Disraeli covers several topics. He explains the state of parliamentary politics of the day and the changing social and political situations of the nobility and the rising manufacturing class. As the title character, Coningsby, develops his political philosophy, Disraeli gives an insight into his own core political beliefs. Through Sidonia, one of his main characters, Disreali makes a pitch for the rights of Jews, a group to which Disraeli is linked by consangunity, though not be religion. To make it all entertaining, Disraeli takes Coningsby and his lover through a long and chaste romantic quest, in which they finally overcome the obstacles placed in their way by their families. The book, ultimately, provides a triumph of love over hatred and pettiness.
The strong points of this book are its pleasant story line and the ability to tell a romantic and political tale without including the moral failings, without which so many modern authors seem incapable of expressing themselves. The weak points are found in its age and storybook ending. The repeated references to so many details of political life of his day and the simililarities of characters to prominent people, which may have been amusing to the readers of his day, are lost on most contemporary readers. The ending, in which all the injustices inflicted on Coningsby by petty people around him are reversed through acts of self-sacrifice which set the world right, introduces a sense of fantasy which makes the book seem just a bit too much to believe. Overall this book is a worthwhile read
