A lot of the "Repair Your Own Credit" books out there are not very helpful. Some of them tell you nothing you didn't already know... Not this one! This is one of the more useful Credit Advice books available on the market. It gives the background of several fraudulant "Credit Repair" firms, info on how to spot a scam, inside look on how the credit bureaus work, and things you can do to correct and "polish" your credit. I would recommend this book to anyone before paying a credit repair/credit counseling company.

This book focuses on the question of whether anti-abuse provisions in tax treaties conflict with EC law, especially with the fundamental freedoms contained in the EC Treaty. The Compatibility of Anti-Abuse Provisions in Tax Treaties with EC Law deals with this issue from the perspective of Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Though most problems arise with regard to the limitation on benefits clauses contained in the tax treaties concluded between EC member states and the United States, the book also addresses the compatibility with EC law of other anti-abuse clauses and assesses the consequences of a possible conflict. This title is published in association with EUCOTAX (European Universities Cooperating on Taxes), a network of fiscal institutes of several European universities which initiates and coordinates both comparative education and comparative research on taxation. The present volume provides a comprehensive overview of this body of law, encompassing doctrinal basis, institutional framework, legal compliance, judicial development, and derogation on such grounds as security and health. The authors, both well-known experts in the field, comment extensively on matters including visas, free movement of workers, freedom of establishment for companies, posted workers, harmonisation of professional qualifications, European citizenship, freedom to provide and receive services, agreements between the European Community and other states concerning free movement, the rights of third country nationals (especially their position under the EURODAC regulation), and the rights of families and individuals to housing and education.
