Book Description
This book takes readers from a simple DC circuit with its customary current and voltage measurements, through a damped resonant circuit requiring rise time characteristics, to a complex digital circuit that demands sophisticated timing and frequency measurements. It provides students with a sophisticated, comprehensive, powerful, user-friendly learning tool. The continuation of simulation studies includes more advanced topics such as operational amplifiers, digital, and filter design. Comfortable yet challenging, multi-level activities, examples, and exercises show learners how to use the program to draw circuits directly on the screen, analyze the circuit in seconds using PSpice, and display the results using sophisticated techniques that go far beyond those possible with conventional instruments. A wide range of electronic theory compliments all the major PSpice techniques and processes. For electrical engineers involved with devices and circuits, operational amplifiers, and digital, analog, and filter design.

Book Description
Part-time work has been the fastest growing of all forms of "non-standard" work. All member states of the European Union have given increasing attention to its regulation over the past quarter century. This book examines the influence of European Community rules and procedures on the development by member states of their policies towards part-time employment. It consists of an analysis of the relevant EU rules, a consideration of the national policies and the impact upon them of the EU provisions, as well as a suggested framework for the identification of these influences.

Diary of a Viagra Fiend
Jayson Gallaway -- whose experimentation with the drug Viagra is at the ever-pounding heart (on) of this book -- presents an unflinching, uproarious collection of stories from the edge of sex. From dancing in S+M clubs to dough-nating sperm, naked soul-searching at the Burning Man festival to asking himself WWARD ("What Would Axl Rose Do?"), Gallaway's extraordinary tales of erotic adventure are sure to, in his own words, "blow some fire up the clammy and stagnant rectum of American literature."
Download Description
" Announcing a major new comic talent -- from dancing in S+M clubs to snorting Viagra, a brilliant, unflinching, and uproaurious set of stories from the edge of sex. It all starts when ""Lolita,"" Jayson Gallaway's nineteen-year-old girlfriend, delays their connubial bliss by deciding to alphabetize their CD collection. Little does she know, however, that Gallaway has recently ingested Viagra to see what happens. Well, the entire city of San Francisco can see what's happened -- for God's sake, it's hard to miss. But by the time the CDs have been arranged, the light of morning isn't the only thing that's soft. So Gallaway does what any self-respecting lover would do: He crushes the last little blue pill and snorts it. Though it ""burns like nothing I've ever snorted in my life,"" the moment of amdness leads to "" a physical congress that is indeed the stuff of legend."" And so begins Jayson Gallaway's hilarious ride around his libido, a titillating, tumultuous, and downright funny trek with stops on the TV show 20/20, quality time with the San Francisco fire department and their metal cutter, at Burning Man, and in a slew of sex and S+M clubs. By the time we reach his attempt to donate sperm (for financial gain, you understand), we're almost expecting his mom to call. And then she does so, right in the mid-tug. ""Be a good boy and God Bless,"" she says, before hanging up. With unmatched candor and an eye for side-splitting one-liners, Jason Gallaway proves himself to be a sort of David Sedaris of the bedroom. Diary of a Viagra Fiend is a stupendously funny debut from a passionately outspoken humorist. "
Customer Reviews:
laughed through the whole thing.......2004-07-31
If you are boring, oversensetive or easily offended don't read this book. just move on and forget you were ever here. If you have any sense of humor or personality at all you absolutely must read this book! And be sure you're not one to take anthing too seriously as morals & dignity have pretty much been thrown out the window by the end of the first chapter. It's hilarious and entertaining all the way through. the only way I can describe this story would be "Fear and Loathing in San Francisco." Worth the price of admission.
Diary of a LARPing Virgin.......2004-07-26
I'm sure that many are afraid of criticizing this book for fear of seeming prudish, but frankly the writing is just plain bad. The whole book sounds like he's tremendously thrilled at the idea of shocking his audience, and even if it were shocking that wouldn't be enough to sustain a novel. And for the love of god, will someone tell him that just because they're called 25 cent words doesn't mean that he's paid 25 cents every time he uses one? This author would have been better off continuing to write fan-fiction. At least fan-fiction is concise and free.
There's an article in the East Bay Express that does a much better of job expressing why I found this book so boring. (...)
Hilarious.......2004-07-20
This book is probably one of the funniest things i have ever read...i am seriously unable to put this thing down...the book is extremely enjoyable and is filled with so much wit and sarcastic humor. Gallaway is truly a great comedic writer and i look forward to his future work
The straight David Sedaris.......2004-07-09
If you're not easily offended, pick up this hilarious collection of essays by the straight, over-sexed David Sedaris. Jayson Gallaway lives and writes the life every straight man fantasizes about--from having sex on rubber sheets with a stripper, to snorting viagra to have sex with his nymphomaniac girlfriend, to dancing at an S&M club. You'll laugh until you cry. For the Maxim crowd, but women will love this view into the male psyche as well--Jayson isn't a cad, just a guy with a healthy libido and a curious sexual appetite.
a worthy Cause.......2004-07-01
This is a truly hilarious read for the adventurous and not-easily-offended reader. There is no redemption here - and that is OK, because you will be laughing all the way through, both at the stories and at the faces of the passersby as they read the title of the book you're perusing. Great, great fun.

Product Description
Adolf Hitler was arguably the most evil figure of the twentieth century. From the time his Nazi regime launched World War II to the present time, he has frequently been depicted on film. He was largely ridiculed at first, since laughter was a powerful weapon and morale booster for nations at war. Later representations were more somber and realistic, yet Hitlers image never escaped the undertone of scorn. This book concentrates exclusively on portrayals of Hitler in feature films and television miniseries. Criteria for inclusion requires that Hitler be represented on screen by an actor. The filmography covers films with a factual historical storyline, fictional stories about Hitler (e.g., They Saved Hitlers Brain), alternate histories (e.g., Fatherland), parodies (e.g., Undercovers Hero), and films where actors playing Hitler have a cameo (e.g., Blazing Saddles). Each entry in the filmography provides production credits, an annotated cast list, an analysis and synopsis of the film, an evaluation of the actor playing Hitler in terms of the strengths and weaknesses of his portrayal, and a representative selection of quotations from the film.
Customer Reviews:
Great book for WWII fans.......2004-08-15
I am a World War II buff, and this is one of the most enjoyable movie books I have ever read. Fascinating and knowledgeable, every aspect of the evil of Adolf Hitler is viewed through the many film representations of him. The movies are covered in depth, with many small and interesting details. There are rare films from all over the world, everything a war movie fan could desire. I highly recommend this unusual book.
TERRIFIC FILM BOOK ON HITLER AS CHIEF CHARACTER.......2003-06-07
I have always been a fan of Charles Mitchell's work. His SCREEN SIRENS and DEVIL ON SCREEN (both McFarland publications) are now trumped by this truly original latest work, THE HITLER FILMOGRAPHY: Worldwide Feature Film & TV Miniseries Portrayals, 1940-2000, again, beautifully published by McFarland with a terrific hard cover and sprinkled with wonderful stills.
Mitchell provides excellent annotations for casts, plot outlines, all major credits and is particular good at providing "behind the scenes" information for hundreds of films with Hitler as a major (or minor) character. He deals with all American and international films with Hitler as a character...although I could not find THE DEVIL STRIKES AT MIDNIGHT (my favorite Hitler Siodmak film in German), his renditions of THE GREAT DICTATOR (Chaplin) and TO BE OR NOT TO BE (Lubitsch) are wonderfully famous and indispensible inclusions in this vast 303 page book. All film fans will love this beautifully produced book which also belongs in all libraries throughout the world. Although it is an A to Z format, you can pick up the book and start anywhere. Mitchell also provides an excellent index and bibliography. Although my life is "film noir"---and there are some excellent Hiltler noir films, I recommend this book highly for its depth of analysis and creative display by the author.
Another Mitchell triumph!
Fascinating study.......2002-10-13
This is a fascinating book covering all films in which Hitler is depicted, over 100 worldwide. Most are comedies, including Chaplin's THE GREAT DICTATOR, Woody Allen's ZELIG, Jerry Lewis' WHICH WAY TO THE FRONT and Danny Kaye's ON THE DOUBLE (and MEL Brooks is not forgotten either!). then there are straight wartime dramas, THE HITLER GANG, THE DESERT FOX etc. I enjoy the fantasy films, such as FATHERLAND, an alternate history story and THE EMPTY MIRROR in which Hitler must atone for his crimes in Hell. Then there are foreign films, such as the Soviet propaganda films sch as FALL OF BERLIN, and the Czech science fiction film in which Nazis attempt time travel to win the war. Other films are more serious, such as the mini-series WAR AND REMENBRACE with poignant scenes of the holocaust. Mitchell writes and analyzes well, and manages to strike the right tone about why Hitler is reprsented so frequently in films. Mitchell writes, by focusing on Hitler, film makers are attempting to ensure that such a monster could never again gain power, In any case, Mitchell's book is fascinating and highly recommended. I never knew so many actors played Hitler, including Alec Guiness, Robert Vaughn, Moe Howard, Richard Basehart, Anthony Hopkins, Luther Adler and the all time record holder, Robert Bobby Watson. Many great illustrations. A great book!

Book Description
In Youth Fantasies, jan jagodzinski explores the meaning of "youth" in postmodern industrialized countries. His approach is decidedly psychoanalytic, drawing inspiration from a Lacanian paradigm as developed by the spirited writing of Slavoj Zizek. Youth Fantasies maintains that the symptoms of today's postmodern "youth" expose the "truth" of the Romantic modernist fantasy of the "innocent" or "divine" child that continues to residually structure beliefs concerning the institution of education and the nuclear family. jagodzinski develops this argument through three sections that deal with the problematic relationship between fantasy and reality, post-Oedipalization, and the cyber-subject. Incorporating a post-Lacanian psychoanalysis, jagodzinski asks us all to rethink the boundaries of reality and fantasy, youth and innocence, family and society.

Customer Reviews:
Logic Puzzle Fans Will Enjoy This.......2007-02-01
The "Great Book of Whodunit Puzzles" by Falcon Travis contains 43 mini-mysteries, usually one or two pages long. Several of the puzzles have clues that can be found in a clue section right after the puzzles. The detailed answers are in the back of the book. There are a wide variety of puzzles in the book. Some of them are traditional mini-mysteries where you read the mystery and use the clues to solve it; some are logic puzzles where you have to figure out who is who using the clues in the puzzle; some are picture puzzles where you have to compare two pictures and figure out which one is a fake; cryptograms; and picture puzzles where the pictures are mixed up and you have to figure out the correct sequence.
For the most part the "Great Book of Whodunit Puzzles" is very challenging. You need to read the puzzles carefully and also pay close attention to the illustration in each puzzle. The clues that are included are very useful to the puzzles. Falcon Travis uses a lot of punny names in the book such as Sergeant Hans Zupp, Inspector Will Ketchum and Inspector Donna DiAnsa but he doesn't use names that give away the answers. My favorite puzzles were the straightforward mini-mysteries and picture puzzles. However, the majority of the puzzles were the logic type, which often involved figuring out who was who rather than finding out whodunit. Also, a couple of the puzzles, "Murder in the Locked Room" and "The Clickspring Cup", were a bit unbelievable. But the other 41 puzzles in the book were well done.
Fans of mini-mysteries and especially logic problems will enjoy this book.

Great Quicksolve Whodunit Puzzles.......2005-07-13
If you like mysteries and sly murderers, this is the book you want to read. This book was so tempting when I read it, that I couldn't put the book down. You just want to know what's going to happen next. The details for the clues are very, very small. Sometimes all the clues are in the pictures! This book makes me want to read. If you really like detectives, murderers, and surprise twists, this is the right book for you!
-- Chenda Anne Bunkasem
Great Book.......2004-06-15
This is a good book. The mysteries are not too hard, but you have to think. I babysit a 3rd grader and she loves trying to solve the mysteries. It provides a lot of entertainment for young adults and gives them a feeling of accomplishment when they can solve the mystery on their own. Only complaint is I wish it was a longer book. You become addicted to trying to solve these mysteries.
Great Quicksolve Whodunit Puzzles.......2004-04-24
I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the mystery and suspence. This book helped me to improve my awarness skills. This book also made me think of clues that I never would have thought of before. I also love reading the answers to the mysterys because they were very surprising.
One of my faviort mysterys was called "Country Killing". The story told a suspects story of a murder. Dr.Quicksolve showed how the story was unreliable and why he belived that they suspect was guilty of murder. The worst part of the book was the mysterys that Junior solved. I did not like them because they were not as interesting. He solved more childish mysterys.
Jim Sukach made the charters come alive. There were pitcures of the charters, but the writing really made them come alive. I felt like I was in the story while I was reading. The conflicts and resolutions in the story wre amazing! I loved the interesting conflicts. Each story was surprising and well thought out. I loved reading the resolutions. They were very clever. Reading them made
me look at the other stories in a new light. By reading the resolutins I gained new skills and a new way to look at things.
For people who like to look at details.......2000-03-26
This book is part of a large collection of books. These books make you look for clues some which are very small but make you say "duh." These books can be very addictive and make you want more and more.

Easy Read for a Textbook :).......2007-09-11
Out of all the textbooks that I have had to read, this is the easiest!!!! Its great (it might help that i love computers and the facts of law and especially SECURITY of ones self)! If you want to know your computer security facts get this book.
P.S. I am currently in School for network security and this subject is taught by one of the only 15 master computer forensics agents in the US along with the best computer security teacher in tidewater, and this book is the best that they have found to teach the material!
Mmmm. Meaty........2004-05-09
This is the fourth and best book I've read on the Security+ exam content. It's a little dry, but it includes the subject matter needed to pass the certification exam. It also includes content included in the SSCP, which eases the transition to CISSP. I've met the author, a former Navy rocket scientist, and he is a knowledgeable expert in the subject area. Take a look at the team that put this book together, and you will see more PhDs and Master's degrees than at a Star Trek convention. It's a little light on firewalls, proxy servers, viruses, and VPN, but generally better the competition and worth the money. Unlike some of the other books on the subject, I will be keeping this one as a part of my library.

Laughable predictions.......2002-01-03
I pick up this book in the local library. I am glad I did not waste money to but this book. Buckett claims that he is a Christian but he lacks Christian character in the introduction. "... a Christian finanial planner, who is not very successful in his own right, wrote a book in which he attacked my previous book..." He may disagee on what other people say about him, but calling names like "not very successful" is not a Christian act.
Some of the terms stated in the book is just wrong. e.g. "Treasury bills are fairly illiquid investments, because you need to hold them for a year or more." (p. 61) This is not true. T-bills are the most liquid investment you can find for SHORT term money. T-bill are short term investment with a 365 days maturity or less. I never heard of anybody who could not sell their T-bills and have to wait to maturity.
Most predictions (if not all) provided by Backett in chapter 4 about the economic fallout from Y2K are ridicous and wrong. As we know now those predictions never happened.
"Our immigrant population, rising medical costs, national defence, and particularly our nation's moral bankruptcy must all be reckoned as economic liabilities." (p. 95) Buckett tries to blame immigrants for the economic problems in the nation is just down right racist.
This is just another of his book to misuse the Bible for his fundamentist ideas. I just wondered, what would Jesus do with this book?
