Its a good book for the confused job seekers. You will know how to make a good judge at times with you really need it. The author gave a seminar at my university.That helped me to some extent. At the end, this book is just a weapon that needs a able machine(you) to fire it. Good luck

Tim Augustine is not only a great writer he is an excellent speaker!! I was able to hear him speak this weekend about networking and motivating your peers. Keep an eye out for other books by him because he has wonderful ideas and is incredibly enthusiastic about helping college students!

A book for those who never worked.......2000-08-06

I decided to buy this book after reading all the reviews. To tell you the truth, I expected some new good info that could be of help to those 'knocking the corporate doors'. What I got was a bunch of common knowledge 'tips' in big font. I learnt nothing from this book. Give me your e-mail and I'll send it to you for half the price.

How Hard Are You Knocking is a great book if you don't have a lot of time and you want to get a head start before you start your job search. I had the opportunity to see the Author in person at a career seminar. He knows what he is talking about. He is a recruiter and does this stuff everyday. Great young speaker who understands what college is like. I would recommend this book to any college student.

I highly recommend this book for any busy college student. How Hard Are You Knocking? was perfect for my busy senior year. It covers everything needed to find and land a job in an easy to read 104 pages from start to finish. I landed my job 6 months before graduation, thanks to this book. Augustine, a recent graduate himself, really understands college in the 90's and allows his credibility to shine through. A definate Thumbs Up!!!!!

Another great book added to my collection.When I was reading this book,i kept thinking back to when I was watching the episodes and I laughed a lot.It all made a little bit more sense to me,(Im not all that good when it comes to understanding everything that they say)This book is a MUST HAVE for any AbFab fan!

Buy this book-PLEASE! Do everything you can to get your little hands on it. You will not regret your purchase. J. Saunders is a comedic genius. She writes with the talent and craft that all comedians-turned-tv stars in the US dream they could posess. No comedian--not Jerry Seinfeld, Rosanne Barr, Jim Carrey--can write anything remotely as entertaining, funny, and completely fresh as Saunders. Not even Friends is this funny--and I enjoy that show.

No American sitcom can touch the level of orginality, spunk, finese, and energy of this British television show. In fact, 90% of the things done and said on this show are not permitted on American television (save the cable channel Comedy Central) because the show would be so funny (in comparison to all other US sitcoms) that it would expose the Grand Canyon-esque gap between it's sublime quality and the bloody mess that is American sitcoms.

(If you do not believe me, that US shows have become, well, redundant bird droppings, just watch any show starring a one-time-stand up-comic and see if they don't do the "I killed/lost your pet and bought a new one that looks exactly the same to fool you" number). Pure, uninspiring wishy-washy tv. I'm 24 and I swear that I have been watching the same show over and over again, no matter who they get to star in it or try hide this fact under a new series name. Sounds like you? Enter . . . Abosultely Fabulous.

Absolutely Fabulous 2 is truly beyond hilarious. My gosh! I do not know how J. Saunders and J. Lumley are able to transform mere words on a page to the masterfully acted characters of Edina and Pasty that they inhabit on screen.

I will never grow tired of reading or watching these episodes. Although this collection lacks the episode "France" which is also another favorite, the book features the scripts for the best ABFAB episodes ever. I am talking "Poor" "Morocco" and "Hospital"--they are the series finest and showcase Eddie and Pats at their best.

Buy and read this book while watching the corresponding episodes to see what I am talking about. You will not be disappointed unless you were expecting God to appear--oh, wait, that happens, (in Absolutely Fabulous the Last Shout which is absolutely required watching). Bye, Sweetie Darlings.

Having seen most of the episodes that are in script form in the book, it was really hilarious to read them and think back on the episode. Five+stars for this one!!!!!!!!

Jennifer Saunders is one of the world's greatest comedy writers. If you are serious about comedy then you need to see Jennifer's show, "Absolutely Fabulous" on Comedy Central Cable TV. Airs on Saturday afternoon 4p.m. (Pacific time). This comedy was so succesful the American Networks rejected it for being "too funny!" Go figure. In any case, if you want to learn some great comedy buy this book, and watch the TV shows. You can also purchase Jennifer's movie, "The Last Shout" and her TV episodes. Jennifer Saunders is top notch professional comedy to the utmost. James Russell/California.

Crazy Plates.......2007-01-28

I loved this cookbook so much that I bought Looney Spoons also! I haven't tried even one recipe that I don't like! And I love the witty remarks - they almost make me feel like cooking isn't such a drudgery after all. I even bought both books as a Christmas present for my daughter who is is newly married and just beginning to cook. She and her husband love the recipes, and he is VERY picky. My only negative comment is that Looney Spoons seems to only be available "used". When I received my copy, I didn't particularly like getting a cookbook (which was supposed to be in very good condition!) with someone else's cooking smears all over it! Yuck!

Some good recipes, but terminal case of "the cutes".......2006-06-04

As with their previous book, I suggest you borrow this book from the library before buying it. You will either like their style of writing or you won't.

This one is laid out in the same busy/distracting style, with again, lots of "cute" names for recipes. I found it annoying to read, but your children might think it lots of fun.

And, transfer the recipes you like onto recipe cards rather than trying to work with the book.

CHICKEN FAJITA SALAD - BUY THE BOOK JUST FOR THIS!.......2006-06-01

I just received CRAZY PLATES and made the chicken fajita salad for Memorial Day. While putting this salad together I was beginning to have my doubts. But fear not, this is a fantastic tasting salad and I definately plan on making it again.
I am so encouranged by this recipe and this books great reviews that I have also purchased Looneyspoons and have pre-ordered Eat Shrink and be Merry.
I am a former Weight Watcher and just recently quit NutriSystem (I hit a plateau and was tired of their food). I have gone back to using the Weight Watcher's plan and will incorporate the appetizing recipes from these books to keep me on track.

I'm on weight watchers and I like the weight watcher's take out tonight book but I feel the portions are just a touch small, this book however is great. The taste is good and you will actually get full plus another thing I like about the book its that it not a bunch of non fat ingredients like non fat cheese or sour cream etc... I also like that the entire book uses the same spices so you do not have to run out and buy a bunch of different spices. I've only had to purchase coriander. Plus it gives you a whole bunch of little tips and inspirations on every page. Out of the 9 low fat or weight watchers cookbooks that I own this one is by far the best.

this book is so easy to use and the recipes are so delicious that I am compelled to include my feedback. As someone who is not a superstar in the kitchen, when I use these recipes, I feel that I make a unique and healthy meal for my family that is always well-received. What strikes me the most about this book is that a majority of the main dish recipes include all the food groups. I have found that most of the time, the kids do not even know that they are eating vegetables. By the way, I think "Crazy Plates" is MUCH better than "Looney Spoons."

The Maran Illustrated computer series is excellent. Clear captures of computer screen images allows the reader to follow along easily to the explanations.

Although I have not completed the full book, I found it very good especially for beginners. I was not conversant at all with Excel and found that I needed it for my employment as my employer had changed my job and I needed the basics.

I found the illustrations very good and easy to follow, and anything I needed to know found easy to find in the book.

I would recommend this book, especially to anyone with little or no knowledge of Excel.
