Book Description
Many lawyers looking for a new job find themselves in a Catch-22 situation. They need a job, but do not have the time to do an adequate job search. The Perfect Legal Job Search believes that not all job-search methods are created equal. Some are much more effective than others. This book emphasizes high-yield job search techniques and offers much practical, do-it-yourself information: Scenarios for salary negotiations, templates for ad-answering letters, and scripts for handling interview-scheduling phone calls.
The Perfect Legal Job Search also shows how to prepare for a legal job interview without worrying about 101 tricky questions. It tells how to explain in positive words a âterminationâ from the last job and how to find a new job when no firms seem to be hiring. It suggests ways to reduce job interviewing unknowns and identify a law firmâ(tm) s hidden hiring criteria. There is even something here for those people who say, "I don't know what I want to do when I grow up." But most of all, this innovative, career-search handbook will show you how to use the successful introduction of a new product line by Victoria's Secret as a model for marketing yourself into a new legal job or completely new direction.
The Perfect Legal Job Search will fit in your briefcase, reads easily, lies flat for computer table or podium use. Paperback, large-size edition. 106 pages. $21.95 plus postage.

Great source for personal skincare guide.......2005-08-09
I never thought by using the spray applicator for toner are handier than using cotton ball to wipeout your skin face. This book has all the basic skincare infos for beginners. Including the commonly used cosmetics or skin cares products ingredients, sun cares, acne skin treatment and more.
I have no regret at all after purchasing this book, because it has the basic skin care information I need.

Book Description
A humorous account of married life written by Loretta Griffin in the Erma Bombeck style featuring delightful illustrations by cartoonist George Broderick.
With her husband John's permission, Loretta Griffin pokes fun at his foibles - and her own - transforming everyday events into mini chapters describing her life with John in playful terms. The illustrations are hilarious on their own, but as a compliment to Griffin's laugh-out-loud language, this is a book that everyone who loves to laugh will enjoy.
Customer Reviews:
Perfect reading for our times, takes you back to happy times.......2002-01-10
In the book Grow Your Own Dope, Plant a Man, the author takes the reader back in time to a splendid sense of peace and laugh out loud joy in a humerous style of living a simple life with a man, willing to let her poke fun at their everyday experiences. It's a perfect gift for Mother's and Father's day, or to youself if you've ever wondered how marriage looks from the inside. Take it to read on a train ride, like I did.
Great book.......2001-10-30

Customer Reviews:
He told me one time: "I'm a poet, not a singer.".......2007-01-07
I became a Dylan fan in the early 60's. While In Junior College and working for the student newspaper, I was assigned the task of interviewing him - without an appointment - when he came to perform in the town where that JC was. I grabbed a tape recorder, sat with some friends to create a short list of questions we thought would be fun for him to respond to - and on the assigned evening, I set out to interview him.
I made it to the security gate where I was summarily turned away. Thinking myself clever, I argued, joked and tried to talk my way in - and failed. So, I sat outside (I had no ticket to the show itself) until it was over - then, some three hours after I first arrived, I recognized Dylan, surrounded by a small army of devotees and sycophants, coming out of the stage door. Bravely, I approached him - tape recorder turned on and microphone in hand - trying to remember just one of the many clever questions my friends and I had concocted. All I could get to come out was, "Hi! I'm from the local J.C. Would you please say something about yourself?" He actually stopped, looked at me (I think) through VERY dark glasses and said, clear as a bell, "I'm a poet - not a singer." I believe this volume demonstrates that rather nicely.
On first hearing me play a Dylan album, my dad, who had never - so far as I know - spent one day on a farm, said "That sounds like a lamb with his gonads caught in a barbed wire fence." Maybe he was right. The beauty of this volume is that it is unfettered with music - either written or sung. Just as the title says, it is "Lyrics".... words .... poems..... stories told in certain rhythm and meter. As such, they read purely - without the attempt to convey them as 'song' or himself as a 'singer.' I read the book from cover to cover and actually use it as a lyric book to create my own versions of the lyrical tales he told that are recorded here.
Some are simple: some complex: some perhaps deliberately confusing, inconsistent and mind-twisting. Others are basic - a few even 'sweet' and naively young. Some angry, some narrative, more than a few visionary. But whatever else they are or are not, they are poems - each and every one of them - and, as such, I believe they stand on their own ... without the music he gave them - mostly, as I understand it, after the fact.
Read this way, as a poetic autobiography, I think those interested - or even enamored- with Bob Dylan and his work, will find this volume to be a real treasure trove of pure expressiveness. It has already achieved a special place - in my library, in front of me while I have a guitar in hand - or simply in my lap, as I read and try to appreciate the purist Dylan we have to remember the times, and perhaps ourselves, with.
A great book to have when you need some inspiration that isn't Biblical.......2006-08-18
Wow, it's hard to believe that Weberman guy is still around, and still has nothing better to do than harrass Dylan (even when he's not looking). I imagine some old, burnt out hippie in a dark cellar shouting out obscenities and such like... burning Dylan records in the fireplace...
Anyway, as to the book, I admire it for what it is, a collection of musical poetry. It's as good as it gets... I find that its nice at time to take a look at an artist for his art. This is a lot like the recent "Complete Calvin and Hobbes" or other similar compendiums... you get to take a look at the art, the way it was produced and released to the public in its final form. No frills, just the workmanship. Whatever's left, you've got to put in yourself.
If one's looking for the life behind the art, Chronicles, Volume One is the most well-regarded, easy and interesting way to start (as it is the approved version of Bob Dylan's life, written by himself, in the way he wanted to tell it). Another interesting book is Dylan on Dylan, a set of essential Dylan interviews. This one's a little more difficult to stay with, but it has a good selection of Dylan interviews spanning the important periods of his career.
Poet Laureate of the a generation.......2006-07-24
A wonderfully organized book documenting the lyrics of Bob Dylan over the first 40 years of his career. I can't wait for the sequal. A priceless collection.
Everyone who is a fan of Dylan should have one.......2006-03-05
This book on the complete lyrics of Bob Dylan is far worth every penny you will pay for it. It is so beautifully bound, and so easy to read these fantastic lyrics that Dylan has written through his life. However, all of Bob Dylan's songs with the Traveling Wilburys are not included here, but just take a look at what is here, and you will probably forget what is missing.
All the evidence anyone could need..........2006-02-25
to conclude that Dylan is deserving of all of the accolades he recieves.
A note regarding a previous reviewer:
IF this is the real A.J. Weberman, the same fool that harrassed Dylan's family in a craven attempt to achieve fame by invading and insinuating himself into Dylan's life, I suggest you move on with your own pathetic life and give it up already. Nobody cares what you think.

Customer Reviews:
I enjoyed the book!!.......2002-08-19
Unlike a lot of other readers I really enjoyed this book. I found Veronica to have a lot in common with me. She tells about a
lot of undercover stuff that goes on in the entertainment world. This book is truly and inspiration and lesson for any young girl who wants to break into the modeling world.
THIS BOOK WAS POORLEY WRITTEN.......1999-05-13
Who told this women she could write!! I had a hard time following her story in some chapters. She seemed to space out at times and go on and on. Her next book she be an apology for the first.
Library Binding for a juvenile effort.......1999-03-16
Yeah, the cover on this book is good. It's a sturd y hardcover the size of a paperback. I'm sure the publisher printed it that way so the book wouldn't fall apart when it's thrown across the room. i wouldn't recommend this for my dog to chew on.
Not Worth Your Hard Earned Money!!.......1999-02-04
If I could have given this garbage no stars I would have. The author is always on tv pretending she is smart so I thought the book might be a nice vacation read...I should have stuck with Terry McMillan! Veronica Webb goes on and on about stuff I've already been reading for years. She doesn't even have any relevant insight into her topics! I wish this book had been written by Alek Wek or even Iman, then at least it might have been worthwhile.
Stooooopid.......1999-01-20
That woman from DC that gave this book lots of stars must have accidentally posted her review on the wrong book. Veronica Webb use to be cool when she was in Jungle Fever but now she's just some stuck up snob. She must be mad because Spike Lee married some other high yellow. I don't know who told her she is the "voice" of black people because she is just another pretender and she doesn't even write well. Next time I'll spend my money on a Tyra Banks book because at least she's for REAL.

Very Helpful Book.......2007-05-27
This book the MCDST Study Guide "DELUXE EDITION" which is the second edition of MCDST Study Guide, is really helpful and updated in order of studying it and taking the exams, it contains a cd with test / exams and flashcards wich are really helpfull= for revising the chapters. If you are willing to take the exams i recommend you to buy the deluxe edition because its an updated version, dont buy the previous edition. Some of the questions included on the CD are pretty similar with questions in the exams. I did pass the exams studying this book and thats why i recommend it! Dont forget that taking the exams requires also a bit of experience:)
Great review book, but know it thorougly.......2007-01-27
I just passed the 271 with an 899 and the 272 with a 916. This book was my only study resource, but I have been working with the XP OS on-the-job for four years.
The difficulty of the test comes from Microsoft's method of testing. Even though I did very well, I only had "warm fuzzies" with half of the questions as I was taking the test, because they really run your brain through the wringer. So, you must understand why all of the other choices are clearly wrong and only one is right, and this entails knowing the material thoroughly.
The only problems I had with the book are is the horrible amount of typos and strange program behavior with the practice tests, and the lack of anything other than multiple-choice questions.
Other than that, get hands-on training, read this book over and over, and be careful with the wording of questions on the actual exams.

Customer Reviews:
This is the old version.......2007-02-02
Just so you know, this is the old version. The new version came out in 2006. Don't buy this book unless you need to because it costs less than the new version.
Sybex falls tragically short this time.......2006-08-08
Sybex normally has a reputation of being THE book to study to prepare for your exam of choice. Unfortunately this one falls well below of my expectations. I've been in the IT industry for a few years now, and even I found this book to be a difficult read. Many times, the elements presented dont follow a logical sequence, making it necessary to flip back and forth among chapters to gain the proper perspective. This book often calls reference to items you'll learn in future chapters, which can be confusing when the authors throw acronyms at you that you dont understand.
Also, I find the review questions in this book rely solely on your memorization of the material studied, but not on APPLYING that knowledge to a real-life scenario, which is really what you will be tested on (applied knowledge). The review CD that comes with the book is equally uneffective. It does have a feature where you can re-review all the end-of-chapter questions, along with a "flash card" program of about 300 fill in the blank, and true/false questions, but again; these are strictly memorization, and doesnt really help when presented with a problem thats not in the book.
After finishing the 70-271 section, and answering all the book questions, I downloaded another test resource and was blown away with how much I still did not know. I really cannot recommend this book, I really should start reading reviews before I blow 60 bucks. Try the Microsoft Press books, they're more expensive, but well worth it. At least you'll walk away with a feeling of actually being prepared for the test. But of course, these are just my thoughts. Good luck to all the techies in getting your certs!
Too many errors.......2006-05-03
I purchased the first edition of this book nearly two years ago (before the Deluxe Edition) to prepare for the MCDST certification. Unfortunately, I found that many of the 100+ excercises were missing procedural steps or were just flat out wrong (ex. page 360/excercise 9.4). Usually after discovering that a study guide is full of errors and vague explanations I toss the book aside along with anything else ever written by the author. But I have examined other study guide material written by Bill Ferguson and I am convinced he is a competent instructor. I guess the editors of the first edition were in a rush to meet the release date for the 1st edition and did a cursory reading of the manuscript. Hopefully, the errors of the 1st edition have been corrected in the revised Deluxe Edition.
Good, for the price.......2006-03-14
The MCDST Study Guide is a good value for the money. I would like to see more questions at the end of the chapters and for them to show more print screens of the topics instead of just telling you that you will need to know this for the exam.
But to get two study guides, in one book, that tells you what you really do need to know for the exams, is worth the price and is a bargain.
Didn't cover enough material.......2005-03-04
I placed an advance order for this book two months prior to release based on past experience with Sybex products. I took 70-271 using only this book (and considerable work experience). I did pass the test (830), but there were several questions on the exam that the book had not addressed at all. I am apprehensive about how well the book will prepare me for 70-272 and I'm considering purchasing additional material. Looking at the reviews on this website, the Timothy L. Warner book appears to be a much better product.
