I took it on vacation with me and I couldn't put it down. A great book for aspiring athletes and coaches as well as your average Joe who works 9-5. The coaches discuss a variety of topics from their childhood to how they motivate their players. Any easy read for all ages.

I've read through Game of Life and I enjoyed it very much. There are so many things to take from this book, not just into sports, but also some reflections on life. I would recommend this book to everybody.

A fun read, especially if yoiu're a sports fan. I read it in search of things that would help my own ability as a coach in my company. Much of it is light stuff but the easy read makes it fun nonetheless and there are few golden nuggets laced throughout the book.

This is a great book for people who are new to excercise, and also as a refresher in motivation for those who might have taken a break from excercise for awhile. The message carries in to the rest of your life as well by overcoming excuses in general that prevent you from success. Terrific book and worth the read!

I always love a book with humor and this one will good humoredly call you on any and all excuses you could possibly come up with for skipping out on excercise. I really appreciated the additional informational facts and studies on exercise and health. Jeanne Murdock's personal comments about how she handles her own "excuses" make the book even more pertinent. The quick-read chapters are easy to take and very fun to read again and again. Reinforces what you know and what you should know about working out and getting fit.

Jeanne Murdock's book really struck a chord with me. I always have an excuse for not working out. She dissolved all of my "foolproof" excuses. I found it very motivating!! I would highly recommend it, especially for those who think they are too busy!!!!

What a fantastic book! There is no way anyone could read this and not exercise. Makes every possible way anyone might try to get out of exercising seem ridiculous. Anyone who wants to get in shape but keeps on finding some reason not to should read this book.

This is one of the funniest books I have seen in a long time. It's just got some hilarious excuses, and it has excuses that people have used on me. It's just a riot to see them all in one place, and, if I ever get in a sticky situation, maybe a good excuse is just what I'll need!

Folks: I read this book in my dentist's waiting room, while waiting for some crown work. The excuses are compartmented in categories: excuses for not having sex, excuses for having sex. Political excuses, criminal excuses, excuses for sinning; not sinning, etc, so you can suit the excuse to the occasion. No offensive words are used, and the book is so hilarious that I laughed through an hour's drilling and shaving and forgot all feelings of apprehension usually felt in the chair. Now that is a powerful soporific to put it mildly, and it did not cost me anything. (Of course, I had to order the book to read the rest of the excuses.)

Interesting, reflective, entertaining........1998-04-05
The book opens in a coffee house where Death is sitting, reading newspapers & contemplating. He then sees an old composition book for children to practice their writing. He decides to write in it & he does - using the AAaa page (subjects that start with A) to think & talk about subjects, with, of course, death as the main thought. He weaves today, ancient history & interesting facts all through the alphabet. In 50 years it is one of the 5 books I have re-read several times. I plan to get some for my friends.

The writing is clear and simple. It will give you a very clear idea of what you have to do.
This is a most if you are starting to record drums or even if you have done it in the past but have no real knowledge.

This was a quick read and probably could be even more condensed but still good tips! It really helped remind me of some of the more basic techniques of recording than just the "perfect" sound for drums. Great diagrams. If you want more advanced book, this is not it.
