I ordered my book like a week before school started. The seller never send it to me. They did refund me, but i was mad cause i wasted all that time thinking she was actually going to send it.

This book is clear and easy to use, though at times the examples were not very beneficial. It also did not seem as though there were a clear order to the ideas presented in each chapter.
I did, however, gain a relatively thourough knowledge of microeconomics from using this book and overall I found the chapters easy to read and understand.
I cannot comment on the DiscoverEcon Online or the videos as I did not have enough time in order to explore either of these additional resources.

In the early 1980s, rational expectations and new classical economics dominated macroeconomic theory. This essay evolved from the authors' profound disagreement with that trend. It demonstrates not only how the new classical view got macroeconomics wrong, but also how to go about doing macroeconomics the right way.
Hahn and Solow argue that what was originally offered as a normative model based on perfect foresight and universal perfect competition has been almost casually transformed into a model for interpreting real macroeconomic behavior. After explaining microeconomic foundations, the authors introduce a better macro model, one that can say useful things about the fluctuation of employment, the correlation between wages and employment, and the role for corrective monetary policy.

This book is a "must" for every economics student. It simply helps understand the big macroeconomic iceberg. It includes the labour market macroeconomic part, and some basics macroeconomics. Excellent writers, especially Mr Solow. I would strongly recommend this book.

I feel compelled to admit up front that Murry Frymer is my uncle and many of the persons he writes about are my relatives. Therefore, it is not a great stretch for me to exclaim that his book is a book about my life.
However, what makes Murry Frymer such a successful author, and makes his work a hot cult item all over the West Coast is that he is able to convey a sense of understanding and empathy for all of the human condition. His readers see themselves and their families in his columns and share a common bond with his stories of aging parents and problems of communications with children.
In short, even if Frymer is not your uncle, you may well feel that he is writing about your family after reading this book.

A worthy but little known undertaking.......2006-04-03
Farmers seem to be a large community of loners, a trait that not only has limited their willingness to collaborate among themselves to control the prices of their products but may have led many to practice self-destructive self-reliance against overwhelming forces. Perhaps as valuable as the monetary help provided by Farm Aid is the morale-building it accomplishes through its concerts and its ability to provide spiritual support. This book is a valuable introduction to Farm Aid and to the crisis that faces American agriculture.

Willie is the founder of FARMAID, a grass-roots organization that is trying to keep family farms intact and move away from factory or industrialization of farming.
Farming is one of the hardest businesses to profit from, especially if you're out there all alone. A family can raise acres and acres of golden wheat and then have a natural disaster like a hail-storm or severe winds come in a week before harvest and wreck the whole operation.
Many families have held farms in their families for generations, only to loose them in a forclosure event due to some unfair farming laws.
WIllie and friends have gone in front of the US Congress to change those laws and try to protect the small,independant guys and their farms from the bank.
WIllie Nelson grew up pickin' cotton in the back rows of his family farm in Abbott, Texas. His backyard consisted of acre upon acre of waving fields of corn, hay and cotton fields. It was home to furry friends such as jackrabbits, deer, cattle, horses and hogs and chickens. Willie worked hard in those fields when he was just a squirt; he discovered first-hand the value of hard work. He also discovered that playing guitar and singing was a heck of alot easier to do than farming!
BUT farming is a cause he chose to go back to protect and preserve.......it's in his heart.
THis book goes on to explain the FARMAID concerts that have occurred over the past 20 years. Friends of Willie's that have lent a helping hand include - John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, John Fogerty and Kidd Rock along with hundreds of other artists.
THere are over 300 artists that have played live at a FARMAID concert, not even accepting payment for basic things such as transportation to the venue.
Emmy Lou Harris is another such artist, as is Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Axel Rose from Guns & Roses, Julio Iglaseis,
Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Paycheck, Carole King, Los Lonely Boys and many, many others have lent their voices to the cause.
This book goes on to explain in depth what Certified Organic foods means and it discusses the history of farming in America.
Understanding farm policy is an important legal overview of what has befallen the American Farmer. Consequences of Industrial Agriculture is explained in section 4 and finally, the GOOD FOOD movement is elaborated up in the 5th section of this book.
The book contains many beautiful color images of the farms of America and also the many famous stars who come out and perform at FARMAID concerts.
It is well thought out, and very well organized.
I loved this book so much because it is changing me and how I view my food selections. What I chose to eat and feed my family is very important to me in these days of stress and communicable diseases. I want to ensure the best possible nutrition for myself and my family.
They are the most important thing to me and their health and well-being is first-most in my mind and in my heart.
Read this book from cover to cover and you will begin to understand the message contained within.
It's a message of health, hope and compassion.
I wish I could buy every family in this nation this wonderful book....it is a true FIVE STAR reading!!!!

THIS BOOK IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. THERE ARE FEW QUESTIONS FOR EACH GUNDAM SERIE AND THE ANSWERS ARE NOT ALWAYS VERY CLEAR.

For new fans of gundam.......2005-10-18
This book really isn't for anyone who's been a fan of the series for a long time. They discuss basic elements of the series and don't reveal any mysteries or secrets to the longtime fans of gundam. However, i do suggest this book for the newbies of gundam as it gives a very straight to the point appraoch and is extremely easy to read. The only real dissappointment in this book is it's misleading title. It should rather be an introduction to the series rather than a "mysteries and secrets revealed!"

excellent starting point, but use with care.......2004-07-16
Fuel cells is a very difficult topic to write about because of the interdisciplinary nature of the subject. I am using the book to learn about Fuel Cells myself and my feelings are mixed. While this book is an excellent starting point, there are some over simplifications and errors. As a Mechanical engineer, some descriptions in the text made me cringe. Watch out for errors in some equations.
Excellent resource for someone with a technical background and general interest in fuel cells. For more serious users, recommend using in conjunction with maybe the DOE fuel cell handbook available from NETL or from OSTI.GOV

When I read this book, I read it to find out and explore this new idea of fuel cells. I was amazed by how it told me all of its benfits and how much more efficient the fuel cell powered cars truly are, and how much more environmentally friendly they are. This book explained the enitre concept of fuel cells to me, without confusing me. It explained every new term and if there is anyone who is interested in fuel cells, tis is definitely the book to read!

This book is a must read for anyone wanting to get into the fuel cell industry. I am a graduate researcher at a fuel cell lab and after borrowing my copy several colleagues have purchased their own. It gives a complete survey of the major fuel cell technologies and additionally covers many of related issue effecting fuel cell commercialization such as fuel storage. This text is very suited for a undergraduate course in fuel cells.

Technical, Readable, and most Importantly Understandable.......2007-03-25
Even if you don't have a engineering background this book is understandable, however to make full use of it you should know some chemistry and calculus. The book walks you through the basics of fuel cell concepts and then leads on to more advanced topics such as delivering fuel cell power. It's only drawback is that it doesn't have any exercises but its not a real downer because after reading it you'll pretty much understand the concepts and how to use the equations without them.
