it was okay, but some pictures were boring... they only had Inu Yasha and Koga.... and the first pic, Inu Yasha looks corny (hes smiling with his finger raised) But it had some funny pics the August one especially!(mirokus trying to figure out the popsicle!) Overall its hanging in my wall so it must be good! i do reccomend
it.

Well printed composites, good theme... but starts on Sunday........2004-11-14

The printing on this calendar is fabulous. It's halftone on velvet-tooth matte paper, theoretically stochastic SHOULD be used for this type of work, but the detail is clear enough. Brilliant colours and gradients - looks more like a hexachrome than a CMYK press, and the cover (front and back) is glossy. On the back there's thumbnails of the calendar images. The front has Inuyasha and the "written-in-paint" freehand logo against a woodblock-print-style background with a tasteful border and a hexagon-design.

The images for each month have original composites of various characters looking like they are posing. The background isn't too original - effect backgrounds instead of actual background - but the colour schemes look pretty. On the adjacent page (the dates) there is another image on the upper-right part with a character 'portrait'.

This is a RTL-row block calendar (reads right-to-left, one block of 4 rows), with US/Canada holidays marked on the day blocks. The new moon is marked with a black-haired InuYasha. It's the same one on every page, but at least they though of that. (I won't spoil the series if you havn't watched it - there's a reason why the InuYasha has black hair on that day).

The only problem I've had with this calendar is that is begins the week on Sunday, which is wrong unless you're in Vancouver, B.C. I used glossy label paper, Photochop, a printer and a craft blade to fix the problem. I also added things like Boys' day on May 5th and National Day. Overall, it is a great decoration if you don't mind fixing the days of the week.

He finds that rates of inflation and consumption depend on the public's expectations about future fiscal adjustments and that foreign trade shocks do not inevitably lead to a long-term rise in the inflation rate. His illumination of international trade and domestic policies, past and present, will interest academic economists and policymakers alike.

I liked this text and might adopt it for my classes. Economics is not an easy subject but Prof. McEachern's text is clearly written. The end of chapter summary of key ideas help to clarify what the chapter was about. The problems and exercises are rigorous, but within reach of anyone who has had algebra.

The case studies bring a real world aspect to the material.

This book is terrible. The author is for one thing extremely dull. Worst though is the questions he expects you to answer at the end of most chapters. The examples he gives while reading the chapter are totally different from the questions he asks at the end of the chapters. As a result of this you are left asking yourself, when the hell did we do this?????? To make matters worse their is no answer key to any of this, so even if you attempt to answer the questions, you will never even know if you did them right or not! Stay away from this book if possible, take a teacher who uses another book, because this book is very poor. In my class, probably half dropped because of this!

This book is just wonderful because while you read it, the author gives you illustrative examples whereby you understand general policies and ideologies within the economy. It is just a five and odd star winner!!

Not only do I recommend this book ... I highly recommend you listen to the music composed by this very talented author. If you are trying to make a life-changing decision in your life, this is the book for you!

Some good reminders and stories, but nothing very deep.......2003-09-03

If you are wanting to be roused to action, this book can be of value. I am in a big leap of faith period myself and I found Robin's stories inspiring. Or rather..I chose to be inspired by them. Robin has a good sense of humor and the book moves along in a lively, spirited fashion.

That being said, the book is really quite flat. Most of the wisdom is not original to Robin. Most of it is very obvious stuff: Be persistent, plan ahead, take risks, and so on. The book is basically Robin's life story, and it reads a lot like a VH1 behind the music special.

I think musicians would enjoy this book. As for the rest of us,I think there are better inspirational books out there.

If not for the book, at least for the CDs........2007-04-26

The book comes with the CDs for the compiler. The software for Visual Basic is 100$ by itself, while the book gives it to you for free.

The book is better than the previous version. It has a few more examples, more indepth, and a lot of the errors have been corrected. All the examples worked in the compiler (which can be rare for many programming books). The book offers all the basic skills to start programming. It is a detailed book from elementary to intermediate programming. It was a great introductory book for my college.

Even though Visual Basic and the authors make coding simple, it seems that not all people are cut-out to be programmers. There isn't much programming simpler than this.

Expensive text with a vague introduction to VB.NET.......2006-05-09

It is not my nature to write a negative `book report', but this book (and the Advanced Programming Using Visual Basic.NET - by the same author(s)) does really not deserve the price. This text is full of poorly written vague explanations, the OOP terminology and coverage is watered down to bare minimum. The exercise section in this text do need more work to be understandable and to be more generic to work on the Visual Studio 2003 environment.
The code reviews in general are superficial and unorganized. The reader/student is presented with chunks of poorly explained material like in the database section for example, where very little detail is given on the how, why questions, that goes beyond the mechanics of clicking and dragging data base components.
There are a lot better texts available for a less price.
The "Visual Basic.NET Primer - by Jack Purdum", book is a great, clear introduction to programming and to Visual Basic.NET for far less price.

Quality entrey level VB book.......2005-12-31

Very well written text book on learning VB. The only problem I had was that the source code at the end of the chapter could have been presented in a different way. That is because I am a code junky; if you are into the concepts of programming, well then you might rate this at five stars. The included copy of VB with the book is worth the price alone. Buy this if you need to learn VB.NET or move up from older versions
