The book did not come with the CD (even though it was supposed to). It was noted on the packing slip that no CD was found. They should have contacted me instead of shipping the product. I had to pay shipping charges back to Owls Books. I WOULD NOT recommend using them.

I have never written a review on here, but I felt like I should give praise for this book, beacuse I really liked it.

I just finished my second principles of accounting class, and thus completed this text book. I found it to be an excellent learning resource. The book is well written to make the subject entertaining and accessible. There is a wealth of problems after each chapter, and many illustrations to aid in understanding. Even if you get a bad professor, you can easily learn the subject just from this text.

Best single volume accounting text out there.......2005-08-15

I found this to be the best single volume accounting text to include both financial accounting and managerial accounting topics at a reasonable price.

I use this in my accounting courses. The other reviewers mentioned that the text uses jargon. It does not, though one will need to know or learn standard American business terminology. If you are not interested in American business, you should not be taking an accounting course in the first place. Many of my students are taking this course because it is required. Many of them would be better off in another major, as they have no interest in American business.

Difficult to read.......2005-08-02

This textbook is very difficult to read and comprehend. When I took Principles of Accounting the textbook was very unhelpful and left myself and others looking for alternate resources to understand the basic concepts of accounting. But for those who are in classes that must use this textbook, I recoomend finding the best ways to avoid buying this, such as sharing with two or three friends or buying used.

According to Jon Karlsson, the influence of genetic factors on human mentality has been neglected for many years in the study of intelligence. He contends that the evidence for biological influences on human intelligence is too compelling to be ignored any longer. Karlsson believes that such influences can be positive, and that ways can be found to measure their importance. Serious efforts are necessary to extend the scope of basic conceptions concerning the structure of the brain and to explore the mysteries of the physiological mechanisms that govern the human mind. The research reported in this volume suggests some approaches that might prove useful. Karlsson believes that an effective approach to the genetics of mentality can be built around studies of serious brain abnormalities. Beginning with the idea that psychosis probably has a genetic bond to creativity, he argues that parallel possibilities exist in relation to other frequently occurring disorders. amusing chick lit road trip romance.......2005-03-05

In DC advertising copywriter for a not for profit organization Marlee Jones also maintains a website "Travels with Marlee" where she provides her driving travesties and fun. Her latest entry informs her webbing public that she lost her license after making a wrong turn onto a one way street going the other way. Immediately following the post her best friend Susan calls to ask how Marlee, who refuses to fly, will come cross country to attend her San Diego wedding with Brian. Susan suggests she drive with Brian's best man Craig Brinkman, but also warns her that he is her direct opposite anally controlling his life to a scheduled nanosecond.

Even before they leave, Brian and Marlee relate like oil and water as he has written an itinerary to the minute while she wants to stop along the way to enjoy the odd sites of America. As they travel together, she parades on his timetable with her unscheduled side trips. Soon these opposites fall in love as she encourages him to take a chance on opening his own restaurant while he urges her to take a risk on him.

This chick lit road trip is often amusing as Marlee seems to get her way most of the time because of Craig's mixed emotions of wanting to please her vs. staying on schedule. Though she can drive a reader and her "Chef" batty, she makes this opposites falling in love in spite of the DETOURS AHEAD for their hearts into a fine humorous road show.
