"Drunk Driving Defense: How to Beat the Rap" is a classic. The book is written for laypersons, such as myself, so it is easy to read and understand. Learn everything there is to know about a drunk driving offense--how to prevent an arrest, what to do when you are stopped by the police, what to do when arrested, and how to present a solid defense to avoid a conviction.

One very important topic was the substance abuse evaluation: What its all about and how to avoid being classified as a drunk. This alone can save you thousands of dollars in unnecessary substance abuse treatment.

No one has ever written such a thoroughly comprehensive book for the average person. "Beat the Rap" takes a person step-by-step through the entire process from the police stop through a drunk driving trial. This is the most comprehensive book on the market to summarize the drunk driving laws of every state. No longer do I have to worry about the laws of each state when I am traveling. I know how much I can drink and still be safe to drive. I know the consequences, punishment, and legal requirements of the police. Everyone should keep a copy in their glove box. You never know when you might need it. I was amazed at how little I actually knew about my home state's drunk driving laws. It was an eye-opening experience to learn about the fines, length of driver's license suspension, and to know my legal rights. As I stated in my title, don't leave home without it. This is the BEST drunk driving book on the shelf!

This book contains everything you would ever want to know about the drunk driving laws in each state. It is well-organized, has uniform categories for easy comparison to other states, and arranged alphabetically. At a glance you can find each state's laws, and learn about the fines, jail time, driver's license suspension time, blood-alcohol content level, etc. Every motorist should become well-versed in the laws of their home state, and if you like to travel then this book is essential. A must buy.

Deng Feng Wang was born February 8, 1965 in Chongqing City, China and died August 15, 1999 while swimming with friends in the Atlantic Ocean off Island Beach State Park, New Jersey. In his brief life, he was to have an influence far beyond his years. On August 12th 2000, The Deng Feng Wang Memorial Conference was held at his alma mater, Princeton University, during which Deng Feng's mentors, collaborators and friends presented scientific talks in a testimonial to his tremendous influence on their work and careers.
The first part of this volume contains proceedings contributions from the conference, with plenary talks by Nobel Laureate Professor Phil Anderson of Princeton University and leading Condensed Matter Theorists Professor Piers Coleman of Rutgers University and Professor Christian Gruber of the University of Lausanne. I loved this book! I laughed aloud at the main character's humor. It was so personal, I felt like I was right there with him in each situation. The structure of the book was unique and kept me on my toes as I tried to figure out how the chapters fit together. I highly recommend Ryan Kaluzny's book, and I look forward to the next one.

The author of this book is experienced and talented, as he describes the often funny/ unfortunate circumstances men in today's day and age encounter in their quest for love.

Described a "sex in the city for men", it stands to be all that and more, exposing what men are really thinking in their on going search for "the one".

While reading this book, be advised to have ample time, as you will find yourself yearning to learn what happens next.

Revolutionary! This book stands alone in its true/honest depiction of love, reminding men everywhere that the battle of sexes is alive and well.

I wait in anticipation for this author's next novel! (Or an " & Guest" Prequel)

I loved this book. Each vignette was cleverly written and entertaining. The author weaves these seemingly unrelated experiences into a well thought out and humourous story. Highly recommended.

Clearly an amateur.......2004-02-14

I cannot figure out where all these 5 star reviews are coming from,maybe the authors friends. Heavy on dialogue is one thing, but this book, if you will even call it that, is 90% dialogue. Not to mention the fact that the author's bouncing around from one time frame to another without any clear rational is the least of the problems. It's almost like someone did a first draft in a couple of weeks, and didn't bother to do any editing. I read a ton of books, and this might be one of the worst I've ever read. The humor involved is tiresome, cliched drivel.

A window into the past.......2004-01-20

From the title onward, `& Guest' comedically paints a picture of a young man balancing the comforts of friendship and family with the solitude experienced while searching for companionship. While everyone seems to have found love, the protagonist Randall, seems to always be the bridesmaid but never the bride. As sympathy (or empathy as the case may be) builds up for the main character, the author expertly injects laugh-out-loud humor into absurdly wacky scenarios that will take the reader back to past events in his or her own life. As such, the book takes on a life of its own and the characters morph from written word into envisaged reality. Highly recommend.
