Medical Practice Management Handbook 2000.......2001-02-24

This "handbook" is actually quite large and comprehensive. It covers areas relating to starting a practice (this section is especially helpful and includes a very realistic timetable from conception of a practice to seeing patients), enrolling with health insurance carriers both private and public, buy/sell agreements, employment, and retirement plans as well as many other things. With this book a physician has the resources available to start up a practice without incurring huge costs from a consultant. In addition to the text portion of the book, a CD-ROM is included with form letters and schedules to use as needed. I highly recommend this book for those individuals new and even not-so-new to solo/private medical practice.

I've only skimmed the book for content, not read it yet. I was seeking a book to help with internal controls for my husbands medical practice. I am a CPA. This book may be slightly light on that topic, but it was very comprehensive as to running a practice, not just the accounting side of it. After I read through this book I will probably be ready to run the office myself - doing everything but the operations! It was costly so I was apprehensive to buy it, but I think it'll be worth the cost.

I love this book...I currently have about 4 chemistry review books, including an older edition of this book from my brother. The SAT II Books (like Princeton Review and Barrons) are good, but this book is very clear. There are a few trick questions, but mostly it is about the concepts. Very helpful with all the extra questions at the end of the chapter. Absolutely great! Thanks

This is about the best book on high school level chemistry I have come across. Albert Tarendash explains each concept with care and very helpful example problems are worked out. I would recommend this book to anyone who is taking an introductory chemistry course.

I loved this book! It's the "Godfather" of Silicon Valley novels. Bill Allard's book may be the definitive novel on the dot-com craze. Splurch.com tells the fictional, yet realistic story of the rise and fall of one company during this period. If I could only place a few things in a time capsule representing the past decade, Allard's book would definitely be included. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a classic!

Ya know, I expected something more surreal and silly from Allard, since I know of him via 'Duck's Breath Theatre', a very funny comedy troupe. I expected to get that evil-good feeling (isn't there a German word for that? They have a word for everything...) from reading about the demise of a fictional dot-com. So I was VERY surprised when I came to actually CARE for these very humanly damaged sonsabitches. What I expected to be a silly romp is, in fact, a tragi-comic page turner. Once I got started, I couldn't put it back down again!
