By "integration", we mean the authors focus on the business process and examine the activities from both an external, financial reporting perspective and an internal, management decision-making perspective. There are three key distinctions to the Ainsworth/Deines approach. They are: 1. Integration - described in preceding paragraph. 2. Within the context of business processes, Ainsworth/Deines is organized by
planning for activities,
performing those activities (in other words, capturing them in the financial statements), and finally,
evaluating those business activities. 3. An organization around the Statement of Cash Flows first focusing on Operating Activities (what is my business, my product, who are my customers?) and then Financing and Investing Activities (how do I fund my business, how do I expand, what are the financial risks, etc?).

I was to be in college two days after I ordered this book and it showed up in time that I got to take it with me to college instead of my mom having to send it to me from home (about 600 miles away). Thanks y'all.
Great Accounting Book.......2004-12-02
This is a great accounting book for any entry-to-intermidiate-level accounting class. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs good definitions, as well as numerous examples and exercises at the end of each chapter. Due to the volume of the chapters, it is usually taught for 2 semesters.
It would be difficult if used w/o prior knowledge in the accounting field, and w/o an instructor.
You definitely need online access to the additional tests, tables...information.

I'm 57 years old never been studing Accounting,now as retired from my job,I decide to fix my expenses and the book has showed me the road but got many doubt to solve the exercise and not found answers sheetsample.

Descriptive Inorganic by Canham and Overton.......2006-04-30
In my opinion, this text is vastly inferior to something like the, often used, inorganic text by Rogers. The text did not seem logically composed, and the questions often seem to have little to do with the chapter at hand thus requiring copious back and forth between other diverse chapters. In a nutshell, the book is simply badly organized. If this were not bad enough, even in the fourth addition, typos are not that uncommon in both the book and its thin, yet expensive, solutions manual.

The text is filled with tons of info, yet written so that almost anyone can understand. This text is excellent for an intro course in inorganic or a first year undergraduate chemistry/biochemistry program. However, what it lacks in depth it gains for in it's user friendlyness. A must for students who don't plan on doing any adavnced inorganic chemistry.

Founded before the Civil War, the King and Kenedy Ranches have become legendary for their size, their wealth, and their endless herds of cattle. A major factor in the longevity of these ranches has always been the loyal workforce of
vaqueros (Mexican and Mexican American cowboys) and their families. Some of the
vaquero families have worked on the ranches through five or six generations.
In this book, Jane Clements Monday and Betty Bailey Colley bring together the voices of these men and women who make ranching possible in the Wild Horse Desert. From 1989 to 1995, the authors interviewed more than sixty members of
vaquero families, ranging in age from 20 to 93. Their words provide a panoramic view of ranch work and life that spans most of the twentieth century.
The
vaqueros and their families describe all aspects of life on the ranches, from working cattle and doing many kinds of ranch maintenance to the home chores of raising children, cooking, and cleaning. The elders recall a life of endless manual labor that nonetheless afforded the satisfaction of jobs done with skill and pride. The best way to learn history is from the mouths of those who lived it, and enjoying the experiences of the King Ranch Kinenos and the vaqueros of the Kenedy Ranch through their unadorned, first-person accounts puts the reader right back at the last fringes of the Old West period. Indian attacks, raids by Pancho Villa and forays by the Union and the Confederacy forces disrupt but do not change the tradition rich life of the Hispanic cowboy. Loyal until death, theirs was a life of service, duty, and honor. This is a can't-miss read for fans of Texana, Hispanic history, and ranching life.
