The book can be free........2004-02-19
Check the local library. They most books you will need for free!
This is just a fancy phonebook!.......2000-09-22
I bought this book and while it looks nice sitting on a bookshelf, the information inside was not helpful at all. If you are looking for more than just a company name and address, don't waste your time. My local phone book had more entries for wholesalers in my local area than this book had for the whole United States. You will be better off searching trade magazines and trade related websites for information. I was so disappointed, I returned it for a refund.
American Wholesalers & Distributors Directory, 8th ed........2000-07-18
This directory has proved to be a very valuable asset. I own a small importing business and found this directory invaluable in my search to expand my business nationwide. By breaking down the listings by product, it helps us to concentrate our efforts were they will do the most good
A Helpful Book.......2000-04-05
This directory is very helpful in finding the wholesalers. I've just started an on-line retailer on the Internet and this directory became my very first business tool. Without this book, I would not have been able to find wholesalers that I'd been looking for. Great directory! Highly Recommended.

Book Description
Although the law recognizes and vigorously defends the separate legal identity of the corporate entity, legislative provisions have been enacted to protect the interests of corporate creditors whereby in circumstances where the company's affairs have been mismanaged to the extent that the company has become insolvent, the directors themselves may: (a) be subject to liability to contribute to, or in some instances, completely discharge the debts of the company, and (b) for the protection of the public interest be subject to disqualification proceedings under the Company Director Disqualification Act 1986, which, if successful, will prevent them from participation in the future management of a company.

Customer Reviews:
Very detailed but buy a good map or atlas too.......2006-08-25
This detailed day by day description of the moon will keep you busy observing for hours. The book lacks a photograph or map to correspond to each day so I found it difficult to find what was being described until I purchased Sky and Telescope's Field Map of the Moon. Together this is a great combination and saves me from having to page between the text and photos.
Those just starting out or looking for something lighter should consider Discover the Moon by Jean Lacroux. While not as detailed as the above it does offer day bay day photos (oriented for both refractor and reflectors) of each phase as well as close ups of interesting formations.
A Thorough Tour of the Moon and a Trip back in Time.......2003-05-14
I bought this book looking for a map of the Moon to help me locate the 100 items that are listed by the Astronomical League in their observing club 'Lunar Observers'.
I found it to be very useful for completing that task, but it was much more than a simple set of maps. Every night in the lunar cycle is described in detail as to what you can see in relation to the other items. I spent the first two weeks using the daily chapters to find 97 of the items listed and ended up seeing a good deal more that was not on my list either.
This is really a good system for learning your way around the Moon, and the author talks about the scientific significance of a number of items and how they relate to our understanding of how the Moon formed.
This book was written in the early 1960s (shortly before men walked on the Moon) and there is a real excitement about the discoveries being made at the time. I thought the chapter on the Ranger Moon probes was a real plus, and it was fun to re-live this golden days of Lunar exploration and get caught up again in the excitement of that heady time.
Day by day lunar observing.......2001-12-15
I loved this book the very first time I used it. It has a chapter for each day of the moon: 1-28. I observed the moon on day 8 and with this book spent several enjoyable hours. Without a map (get a good one) and a book like Cherrington's looking at the moon is a five minute experience. It still amazes me how much I can see when I have a guide that tells me what to see and what I'm seeing.
One of the best..........2001-04-16
I am a dedicated lunar observer for the past three years. I am moving from merely observing to photographing and sketching. Not too long ago I moved up from a 4.5" reflector to a 5" f/9 refractor, though I still use the marginal mount from my 4.5" reflector right now. I hope to one day publish a lunar atlas. Anyhow, this book while old is one of the best, just for the gazetteer it is worth the price. The writing is easy to understand, even for the layperson.
Good Old Book.......1999-08-19
I bought this book and I did not know it was written in 1964. Even though it has been revised in 1984, the lay-out is not what you would expect from books nowadays. Nevertheless, the content is good. There are lots of photos shot from divers probes sent around the moon and the author guides your journey extensively on the moon day by day, describing craters, seas, swamps and moutain ranges. I find this book an ideal complement to the "Atlas of the Moon" by A. Ruckle which still remains the reference in terms of selenial cartography. You can go through the text of this book and follow up on maps from Ruckle's book or even beter with your telescope.

Customer Reviews:
I agree, the binding is very nice.......2006-03-20
However this edition is full of ERRORS! An extremely frustrating book to try to learn out of. Did i do it incorrectly or is the equation printed there wrong or is the answere printed over there wrong, or maybe the question itself has a typo......who knows! My professor for this class was familiar with the first edition, but agreed to go with the second edition after we (the class) found it for $4 on here, then he had to go through and correct all the mistakes for us.
A good book on Polymer Chemistry.......2003-12-09
I used this book in conjunction with my Physical Chemistry book when we had a section on macromolecules. The coverage of material I needed for my class was applicable, readable, and spelled out in a way that made it easy for me to understand the subject matter. I have also read through the book outside of my Physical Chemistry class, and I believe it is on the more readable side. The text has a good supply of worked out examples in the text, but sometimes falls short on practice problems. Most of my experience with this book comes from using it in conjuction with other books - this book really shines at its explanation of the subject matter.
The best part about this book is its beautiful binding........1999-06-26
This book does a very poor job of teaching polymer chemistry. Coverage of most topics is too brief and includes too many mistakes. However, the book is organized in an interesting way, and topics that aren't included in most polymer chemistry books are mentioned briefly -- for example interesting polymer properties such as flame retardancy. In this sense, the book might get students excited about polymer science.

WILHELM'S WORLD presents an unusual view of many human activities as seen through the eyes of a tiny hessian fly. He provides humorous and sometimes perplexed descriptions of sporting events, household chores and general human behavior.
Customer Reviews:
A Fun Read.......2003-11-17
This book is light, funny and, unusual for today, not filthy. You can feel comfortable letting your children or grandchildren read this book.
All interested seekers of a good chuckle.......2003-09-25
All interested seekers of a good chuckle at their own fancies and foibles will want to read this "fly eyed view of human life," compiled by Dr. Roberts. The Roberts' computer, in its various incarnations, became Wilhelm's means of communication with the human world. His diary entries mysteriously appeared from time to time over the years. His pithy comments and succinct observations were too enlightening not to be shared. Dr. Roberts took on the formidable task of gathering and bringing these fanciful insights into book form.
Wilhelm's World: A Fly-Eyed View of Human Life.......2003-07-20
Book Description
While living with a human family, Wilhelm, a Hessian fly, uses their computer to record various activities. From his perspective human lives are very difficult to understand and his interpretations are slightly skewed and generally funny. His difficult fly-writing efforts cover antics of cats, people, sports, television and movies.
From the Author
Wilhelm's World is a compilation of observations on human activities as seen through the eyes of a Hessian fly named Wilhelm. He records these by dive bombing computer keys one by one to produce his diary. He relates things he sees in person, overhears or sees on television. His interests are very diverse and since he is a very tiny insect, his viewpoints are often not only wrong, but usually rather funny.
He lives with a human family consisting of a man, wife, and one or more cats. The antics of the cats provide fodder for Wilhelm, as do his bumbling actions as the man attacks various household chores which are routine for most of the population but present severe challenges to him. He recorded strange tales he gleaned by eavesdropping, very easy for one his size. These include several folktales from farm sources, automobile adventures, hunting trips, language lessons and even a funeral home.
Televised sports perplexed Wilhelm as he tried to understand human culture. At first, he was convinced that tailgating was the major component of football and the weird mascots at basketball games were likely dangerous. Other television programming also offered many puzzles for Wilhelm to decipher. Soap operas and movies were the most productive in keeping him guessing. Westerns became his favorite and he was concerned that today's lawmen are not very good marksmen compared to the old west gunslingers.
Wilhelm's efforts have been saved and compiled to provide a record of his human watching career. He has managed to far exceed the life span of most Hessian flies thanks to his cushioned life in the Roberts' household
