Book Description
In this third and final book of the Giza Death Star trilogy, Physicist Farrell recapitulates the function of the 10,000-year-old Giza military complex and recounts the final destruction of this gigantic machine--a machine that was destroyed by a great explosion within. With the destruction of the Giza military complex the world was plunged back into the stone age! The Giza Death Star Destroyed is a fantastic and technical look at:
* Solar system catastrophism vs. interplanetary war
* The destruction of Krypton
* An ancient Babylonian text and a planet-busting scalar weapon
* The connection between Mars, the Flood, Secret Societies, and Giza
* The tentative identity of the Sphinx
* Why the Sphinx is in what was, in truth, a very ancient military compound
* Why the Sphinx is known as the Father of Terrors
* The loss, and possible survival, of the ancient objects of power
* The connection between the advanced physics behind the Great Pyramid and Egyptian magic
* A profound mathematical metaphor in ancient Hermetic and Neoplatonic texts with ties to Egypt
* The exciting pyramid power research of Flanagan, Parr, and the Russians
* A topological metaphor of creation in ancient Hermetic and Neoplatonic texts

Alternative / Aether Based Physics.......2007-06-10
This is another very interesting book in Farrell's Giza Death Star trilogy.
Like the other ones I found his research more interesting than his final conclusions. I don't buy into the theory that the Great Pyramid was created for destructive purposes.
For me the key points were:
1) Questions about the validity of Einstein's theory of relativity and
other main stream science topics. He suggests that physics took a
wrong turn around the time of Einstein when people disregarded the
properties of what the ancients called the 'aether'.
2) He talks about alchemy and the mystical properties of gold and various
crystals. He suggests that Moses and Aaron were familiar with the
mysterious alchemy of the Egyptians and relates this to the story of
Aaron creating the golden calf during the Exodus. It is true that the
story doesn't make much sense when read literally. Perhaps he is
correct that we are missing some of the metaphysical pieces of this
account.
3) He pulls in a lot of philosophy which includes neoPlatonism. I don't
understand what he's talking about but yet it is interesting that
perhaps somewhere in Plato's philosophy lies the answers to great
mysteries. This analysis includes various mathematical examples using
what I think is set theory.
I took off one star for what I think is perhaps too literal of an interpretation of various myths and legends. Farrell believes that Mars was once a satellite of a Saturn sized planet named Krypton that was destroyed by the Great Pyramid's death ray. This explosion then rearranged the planets and the water from Krypton eventually hit the earth, causing the biblical flood.
These books are a tremendous starting point for conducting further research into these alternative science topics. At the end of the book there's a big section of additional books that are related to these same sorts of occult science ideas.
These books have opened up an entire new area of research for me. I believe that Farrell is correct and somewhere hidden in all of this are the keys to many mysteries.

Fun To Read.......2007-04-23
I think to enjoy this book you will need some imagination. As the author says most physicists "have a degree of the metaphysician in him...".
This book definitely crosses the line from conventional science into metaphysics and philosophy in some places.
The author is a physicist but he is also familiar with many ancient legends and myths as well as scientific work which is not part of the mainstream base of scientific knowledge at the present time.
Or at least not part of what is being taught in universities. Whether or not secret government organizations are aware of these alternate technologies is open to question. I think they are and there is some discussion in the book about this possibility.
For me the best part of the book is not the theory that the Great Pyramid was specifically designed to be used for destructive purposes and that the maser beam that the pyramid produced was used to blow up a planet to create the asteroid belt. I think there are advanced races monitoring our planet at all times and they probably wouldn't want people trying to do this.
Rather it is the discussion of how various governments going back to Nazi Germany have been in a race to rediscover lost knowledge that goes all the way back to Atlantis.
He proposes that conventional physics chose to disregard certain theories around the time of Einstein related to the nature of the 'aether'. This disregard for possibly valid ideas has had a dramatic effect on the development of physics and science ever since.
He mentions mysterious figures such as Nikola Tesla and mysterious scientific projects such as The Philadelphia Experiment.
He even includes some technical information such as mathematical formulas for those who can understand them. I'm not one of these people however so I can't comment on that part.
The Great Pyramid as well as other pyramids and monuments in Egypt and around the world stand as silent witnesses to our misunderstood ancient past. I agree with the author that the views of standard Egyptology about the true purpose and nature of these monuments are outmoded and irrelevant.
I view this subject from a more spiritual perspective which is based mainly on the Edgar Cayce psychic material.
Cayce said that the priest Ra Ta (Cayce himself) worked with the gods Horus and Thoth to create this wonder of the world in 10,500 BC after Atlantis went down for the final time. He said the pyramid was constructed for these purposes:
1) it was a religious temple of some sort
2) it tells the destiny of our human race in the markings on the walls inside the pyramid. and in fact the 'pyramid inch' unit of measure was carved into the wall inside the pyramid to tell people how to interpret these markings. notice one pathway goes up to the top of the pyramid and the other goes down into a bottomless pit under the pyramid. the 'chamber of chaos'.
3) it was intended to be a mystery that people would wonder about
Part of the unravelling of this mystery was Christopher Dunn's discovery that the Great Pyramid was a machine. Farrell has now expanded on this idea.
When people first went into the pyramid in modern times they found the sarchophagus broken. Cayce said it was Christ Himself (Thoth) who broke it to symbolize His victory over death.
The number 27 comes up in a few places.
There were 27 pairs of resonators in the pyramid at one time.
The nineteenth century inventor John Worrell Keely claimed to have discovered twenty-seven particulate structures underlying the proton.
Notice 27 = 3 * 3 * 3.
The number 3 is the most mysterious number in the universe. Thus the great god Poseidon carries the trident at all times and the god is always associated with the number 3.
The mathematical value 'pi' is 3 plus a fractional number that never ends. Infinity.
People who are interested in these types of subjects will probably enjoy hearing Al Bielek talk about The Philadelphia Experiment. Bielek claims he was transported 40 years into the future during the 1940s along with his brother Duncan. When they observed their brother Jimmy embedded in the hull of the ship when it started to re-materialize Duncan jumped overboard and got left in the future.
Eventually the CIA transferred their souls into other bodies and they had to grow up all over again.

In the first half of the book, the author, Joseph Farrell, jams in extensive quotes from hundreds of "sources" as he attempts to build his case (or to refute non-believers) that the Great Pyramid at Giza was a military weapon. You have to pay really good attention when you read the book as the author bounces around quite a bit and takes many questionable leaps.
Typical of the sources that the author quoted is a 2-page article written by a Ukrainian UFO expert, Vladimir Rubtsov, that appeared in an issue of Fate magazine during 2002. The article was basically an interview with a person (known only as "Anatoliy") who apparently was the only eyewitness of a "scalar" explosion that completely wiped out an entire German "regiment" in 1943-44. Even though the only eyewitness to this event must be at least in his 80's and there are no other records (German or Russian) to support his recollection, Farrell treats this account as absolute fact. ("Scalar" physics postulates, as the author points out, that a time-reversed superluminal form of energy of great power that can be engineered through harmonic interferometry and can be made into a weapon.)
Many of us have seen the NASA photos of a section of the Cydonia region of Mars that show several mountains appear (at least from 200,000 feet) to be pyramids or have at least one side that looks to be relatively flat. However, Farrell (as well as several other authors) assume they are man-made pyramids. Farrell takes a leap as he suggests they were, at one time, military hardened structures.
In the middle of the book, for some unknown reason, Farrell presents a three-page summary of the importance of reading Tarot Cards as related to science. Obviously, I missed something. (Gotta learn to pay attention.)
In order to comprehend the second half of the book, it is essential for the reader to have an advanced degree in Physics. Not having an advanced degree in Quantum Mechanics, I gave up and never finished the book. Wanna buy it? Super cheap and I'll pay for shipping.
Undoubtedly the best researched book on the Pyramid........2004-07-24
Giza Death Star Deployed is possibly the most thought provoking and brilliantly researched book ever written about the physics behind the Great Pyramid of Egypt. Joseph Farrell's presentation of the scalar physics evident in the Pyramid's construction leaves the reader spellbound, and suggests the weapon's hypothesis advanced by Sitchin's research of the archeological texts of antiquity. Whether it was built by extraterrestrials, or a previous race of humans with an advanced military technology remains to be seen, but based on Farrell's hypothesis, the builders of the world's most famous monument appears to have had access to a technology that allowed them to "play god" in the lives of men. In particular, this is a book that should be a "must read" for all Christians, for ultimately, if Farrell's hypothesis is accurate then he has undoubtedly identified the "synagogue of Satan" spoken of in Revelations 3:9.
Brilliant.......2003-11-11
"The Giza Death Star Deployed" will completely change the way you think about ancient (pre-flood?) history. Though Mr. Farrell failed to convince of the fact that the Great Pyramid of Giza was necessarily a weapon, I am completely convinced that it was not built as a tomb. Joseph Farrell examines all the evidence, archaeological, historical, literary, and scientific, leaving no stone unturned. When I first picked up the book, I thought, as anyone would, "is he serious?". But even scanning through the book, I could tell that he was. Suffice it to say that you will never think of the pyramids of Giza the same. For a fresh look at ancient history (along with much, much more) read this book.

Very Imaginative.......2006-05-20
I gave this book 5 stars because I love books that are based on the groundbreaking work of Christopher Dunn in his book "The Giza Power Plant".
The author is a physicist but he has enough imagination to believe in mythology, realizing that those myths and legends are based on reality at some level.
Farrell takes Dunn's theories about the pyramid being a machine to a new level. Based on the ideas of Zecharia Sitchin he proposes that the Giza complex was intended to be a military base and weapons platform before it was even constructed.
Because the author is a physicist he focuses mainly on the scientific aspects of his theory while perhaps neglecting the positive, spiritual aspects of how this mystical structure was used for positive purposes.
Farrell compares what happened over 12,000 years ago in Egypt to our own society today where most of the national budget is put into military projects.
However we may as well compare our current society to another planet as far as how similar the world was at that time to today.
While I enjoyed this book immensely I do not believe that the Giza complex was created to be used as a weapon of mass destruction.
Rather as the American psychic Edgar Cayce said about a similar technology on Atlantis it was the misuse of such awesome power that became destructive.
Cayce did say that the terrible crystal technology was used to create a death ray on Atlantis after the evil Atlanteans got control of it.
But that same ray was also used to power their flying saucers and for other things including spiritual things that aren't related to technology.
I guess it is possible that this same scenario played out in ancient Egypt. Those same evil forces may have gotten control of the pyramid machine.
Still this book raises many interesting questions.
After the pyramid machine was built what happened then ? Who was left in charge of it ?
So many questions. When will we ever know all of the answers ?
Obviously the state of the pyramid today is very much degraded from it's original state when it was covered with a polished, highly reflective white limestone and had either a gold or crystal cap stone.
I haven't read any books by Zecharia Sitchin yet but I'm planning to after reading this book. The book contains a lot of references to other occult science type books.
The number 3 is the most mysterious number in the universe and it comes into play with the pyramid.
The mathematical value 'pi' is 3 followed by a fractional number that continues out to an infinite number of decimal places.
There were also 27 pairs of resonators inside the pyramid machine at one time.

Perfect, something to think about and to consider.
After reading the book go and visit Egypt and look at the great Pyramid.
Captivating and well researched.......2004-03-06
Dr. Farrell does a brilliant job in this captivating and well researched book. He is obviously cautious in advancing ideas that no one has put forward before, but unlike most who speculate Dr. Farrell uses scientific evidence to lead the reader to new discoveries. He holds a doctorate from Oxford University and yet is able to write for the layman with an interest in the Pyramids. Hold on for a bumpy ride into new territory! Thanks Dr. Farrell
The Giza Death Star.......2002-11-07
Farrell theorized that the Great Pyramid was a terrible weapon of mass destruction, used by by a technological advanced ancient civilization in the mist of pre-history and sets today on the Giza Plateau disarmed but ready!
Farrell's technical civilization is the 'doner' civilization that provided the foundation of the Egyptian civilization that existed in the Nile Valley some 5,000 years ago.
What kind of civilization would have designed and built such an awsome weapon of mass destruction as envisioned by Farrell, and apparently used it with no hesitation against their fellow man? A civilization not unlike those that arose from the foundations and ashes of older extinct civilizations. A civilization subject to all the faults and foibles of human beings, hatred, love jealously and greed. No different than those in existance today and poised to destroy the world.
Farrell speculates, the "Great Pyramid was a phase congugate mirror(magic mirror of legends),and howitzer, utilizing Bohm's 'pilot wave' as a carrier to acelerate electromagnetic and acoustal waves to a target via harmonic interfermetry." Ferrell believes that the chambers and passageways of the Great Pyramid were used as a series of loops to generate and amplyfy these gravito-acoustical waves and direct them to their target.
Farrell finds traces of this ancient science he calls "Paleophysics" in the ancient and obsecure texts of Egypt.
If Ferrell's asumptions are correct, this ancient weapons system was the most powerful weapon ever to exist on Earth. Even today, with our advanced technology, the technology involved in the building of this weapon system can only exist in dreams. This is the grist for the mills of science fiction that dream of the theories of Nikola Tessla, The Montouk Project, the Philadelphia Experiment, and Area 51. These are the technologies our government is allways accused of developing in secret labortories and witholding from the public.
After reading the "Giza Death Star", readers will never be able to look at the Giza Plateau and its mysterious prymids and buildings in the same old way!
After reading the "Giza Death Star", find a copy of Hamlet's Mill and read it with a critical eye.
Sleep well tonight, keeping in mind that a government scientist in a weapons laboratory at an isolated location may be reading these same works!

Book Description
The Oxford Handbook of Nucleic Acid Structure is a comprehensive reference text on all aspects of nucleic acid sturcture. Particular emphasis is placed on the results from X-ray crystallography and NMR studies, with both methods being given equal weight. The nineteen chapters describe in detail the variety of DNA and RNA structural types discovered to date with all the major 'native' structures being represented. The text progresses systematically through the polymorphs of double helical DNA through to the higher-order organizations of triplexes, quadruplexes, and junctions, then to RNA structures in their various degrees of complexity. Each chapter has been written by authorities in the field who have worked together to provide this comprehensive text on nucleic acid structure. The whole project has been brought together and edited by Professor Stephen Neidle who is Director of the CRC Biomolecular Structure Unit at the Institute of Cancer Research.
Customer Reviews:
Best introduction to nucleic acid structure.......2001-10-24
This is the best introduction to nucleic acid structure available. Chapters are reviews contributed by the leading scientists of that field such as Struther Arnott, Richard Dickerson, and Alexander Rich. Coverage is broad and deep. Topics include both experimental and computational studies and unusual structures. Some topics that were not covered or only covered superficially include larger structures (nucleosome, ribosome, etc.), quantum mechanical studies, all-atom molecular dynamics simulations, electrostatic interactions and solvation, protein-nucleic acid structure, spectroscopic approaches besides NMR, and ironically, drug-DNA structures, the specialty of the editor, Neidle. Extensive references in each chapter are invaluable.
It's too bad the book is so expensive. I hope OUP releases a paperback edition.

Description:
The upper Assam basin is an intermountain basin surrounded on two sides by eastern Himalayan fold belt, and the third side by Assam-Arakan fold belt. The basin has the contradictory characteristics of being a historic oil producing province in one of the most tectonically active areas of the world. Assam is a seismically active area and the location of major earthquakes yet contains one of the world's largest oil and gas fields. An integrated study based on surface and subsurface data and relying on the sequence stratigraphic approach was undertaken to provide a re-appraisal of the upper Miocene to Recent succession and its relationship to the region's structural history. Detailed data in the Jaipur anticline region of the basin is viewed in regional context. While the seismic database area includes only the northeastern part of the basin, we suggest that the interpretations are applicable to the entire upper Assam basin for interpreting the complex relationship between structural evolution and the generation and remigration of hydrocarbons. In tectonically active regions, a regional geo-history analysis is a required component of the petroleum system description necessary for a successful exploration model.

Description:
Data gleaned from the literature on the Zagros have been compiled and used in conjunction with new interpretations to provide a better picture of the structures, sedimentation history and deformation of this hydrocarbon rich Mountain Belt. The belt parallel Mountain Front, the N-S trending Kazerun, Izeh and E-W trending Bala Rud Fault Zones are defined as the master structural elements of the Belt. These fault zones divide the Zagros basin into zones with different stratigraphic successions and different rheological profiles. This resulted in different structural styles developing along the belt during the subsequent collision. The Kazerun and Izeh Fault Zones acted as the depositional system transition zone between the Lurestan and Fars regions in Jurassic-Cretaceous time and partly controlled the distribution of the Kazhdumi Formation (one of the major source rocks). By the end of the Cretaceous the NW-SE trending Mountain Front Fault divided the present Folded Belt of the Zagros into a major foreland basin to the southwest, and a piggyback basin to the northeast. Activity along other major (transfer) fault zones including the Izeh, Kazerun and Bala Rud Fault zones occurred at this time and controlled the sedimentation and subsidence of the Dezful Embayment the main target region for hydrocarbon exploration. These fault zones controlled the thickness of the Asmari Formation (one of the main reservoirs) and also the considerable thickness and facies changes of the Gachsaran Formation (the major seal to the Asmari Formation). The present morphology of the mountain belt is interpreted as being mainly related to the pinning of the Mountain Front Fault to the northwest of the Dezful Embayment and to the north of the Strait of Hormuz.

Book Description
It has been said that `String theorists talk to string theorists and everyone else wonders what they are saying'. This book will be a great help to those researchers who are challenged by modern quantum field theory.
Quantum field theory experienced a renaissance in the late 1960s. Here, participants in the Les Houches sessions of 1970/75, now key players in quantum field theory and its many impacts, assess developments in their field of interest and provide guidance to young researchers challenged by these developments, but overwhelmed by their complexities.
The book is not a textbook on string theory, rather it is a complement to Polchinski's book on string theory. It is a survey of current problems which have their origin in quantum field theory.

A Hearty Slice of Suburban Americana.......2000-06-19
Jan C. Snow has done it. She has captured Midwestern humor without sounding hokey, domestic humor without sounding whiney, and American humor without sounding bitter. A bit like Garrison Keillor, Erma Bombeck, and Will Rogers rolled into one. Tackling topics like junk, pocket lint, Easter eggs, and toothpaste, Snow's wry and witty comments are amusing, nostalgic, and even bittersweet. She really shines when talking about holidays, those paradigms of American psychosis and over-exuberance. "The 12 Months of Christmas" is one of the funniest works I've read about the December season. Snow's humor comes from her keen observations of the paradoxical and often bizarre goings-on of everyday suburban life, things that you wouldn't think of off hand, but once mentioned, they become obvious and rather odd. All in all, Snow's collection of essays is well written, engaging, and funny. It is a book that I turn to again and again when I need a good laugh.
This book rules!!!.......1998-09-24
Ms. Snow has captured the essence of Ohio humor. We are fortunate to live in a time when such brilliance is displayed. Sardonic, sarcastic, cutting edge all rolled into nifty compartments.
