I read the guy belows review. Go check out all his other reviews. They are all the same critical and negative. I have read this book and I own and run 5 business with combine sales of over $50 Million and can tell you this book is a masterpiece for anyone at any level, if you understand the gems on every page. This guy obviously can't recognise these as he is most likley not in business at all judging by the comments he makes. Buy this book, it worth every cent.

Disappointed...Didn't Have the "Meat" It Claims In the Title!.......2006-02-26

It's rare that I give a 3-star rating for a book and I (almost) never listen to the low-star comments/feedback from other readers. I should have listened in this case.

The book starts out very promising. He makes you believe that he will be presenting some solid, workable information later on in the book.

Except that solid, workable information never manifests itself.

He just goes on and on about basic, common sense business practices that anyone who has ever run a small business, even a home-based business, would know.

If you have no business experience then maybe you should invest in this book, except that it won't give you all the info you need. Not by a long shot. It's good for inspirational value for a newbie in business or someone aspiring to own a business (who never has in the past) but, if you are serious about starting a business and need the bricks and mortar info to get you started, you need other books too like Michael Gerber's E-Myth Revisited (highly, highly recommended!), not just a bunch of inspirational hype like this guy presents.

Decent book but if you have even marginal experience in business then you may want to pass on this one.

I am shocked that anyone could have rated "What Rich People Know" anything less than FIVE STARS. As a three-time published author and owner of two successful businesses that I started from the ground up, I can speak from personal experience that this book is essential reading for all entrepreneurs. True: it is not a -how-to-get-rich-quick book (which is what a lot of critics were probably looking for), but it is probably one of the finest entrepreneurial business textbooks I have ever read. And as anyone who has read Robert Kiyosaki knows---running your own business is the most-surefire way to riches on the planet. As I redesign the business plan and strategy for my own business, the Unstoppable Artists Business School in Manhattan, I decided to re-read this excellent book. I thought I had underlined all of its wisdom the first time around. I was mistaken, and now the book is nearly illegible from all of the marks and comments I have made to nearly every page. If you run your own business or are in PMA (Publicity, Marketing, Advertising) in any capacity, your breadth of knowledge and wisdom will sky-rocket by reading this book. Some of the reviews are on-target when they say that he doesn't 'give you ideas'. But that's sort of the whole point in business: UNIQUENESS. The name of the book is deceivingly me-too. I would not have read it were it not recommended by a local newspaper.

It turned out the it was surprisingly good stuff. The best part - it is all common sense, so convincing but at the same time so enlightening - classic wisdom.

I've been reading few tens of business/self improvement books. This has to be the best book I have ever read and strongly suggest everyone read this to gain some outstanding skills and education about business and life...it is an absolute winner! Everyone after reading this book, will walk away with dozens of practical ideas that can be easily incorporated and practically implemented. It is information written in simple language that can be adopted by every business person. I'll be recommending it to all my friends whether self-employed or looking to forge a career for themselves. This is by far, the best book on behavioral safety I have ever read. Dr. Geller has a very laid back style of writing, which is very comfortable to read and easy to understand. He outlines many psychological theories in a very comprehensible manner, and reinforces ideas with models and anecdotes from his own experiences.

My interest in Total Safety Culture was its application towards unleasing latent resources in the union environment, essentially making safety a common ground for labor relations. This book is well worth the money, and a cover to cover read will likely make you want more.

Understanding workers performance on active care for safety.......2000-04-07

I liked the way the author explained the principles on behavior. With the book, I could understand more about the human feelings on prevent accidents. The book shows some examples to improve safety procedures at work and help us with adittional information on the evaluation for continuos increasing on actively caring behaviors.

While much has been written on the Common Agricultural Policy from the perspectives of political science and agricultural economics, it is as true now as it was in 1988 when the first edition appeared to say that little has been written in English on the specifically legal issues which arise from the CAP. Despite this apparent neglect, the CAP lay behind many of the institutional developments in the EC, as well as its system of finance, and it is also an area where the introduction of the euro has had a particularly marked effect. Agricultural goods formed the first single market in the EC, and agricultural legislation forms the background to much of the European Court's case-law on the relationship between EC law and national law, and it is also within this context that the Court has developed (and is developing) many of the general principles of EC law. Furthermore, the CAP is an area which has more recently been influenced by broader international agreements, notably the WTO Agreement on Agriculture, but it is also an area in which EC policy has in fact been found to conflict with WTO law, notably with regard to the market in bananas, and with regard to the prohibition on hormones in beef. The aim of this book is to explore the legal issues arising from the CAP at a time when it has undergone a major change of emphasis from product support to producer support, and to set out the principles underlying what remains a complex web of legislation.

The analysis of materials containing several elements used to be a difficult problem for analytical chemists, so a well established sequence of wet chemical qualitative tests were performed to ensure each element was detected. Quantitative tests could then be carried out on the sample, according to the range of elements present. Most analytical chemists were very familiar with these techniques, having been taugth them from a very early stage in their education and careers. The analytical chemist can now call on a range of specialist instrumental techniques which can detect the presence of many elements, often simultaneously, and often quantitatively, providing rapid results on samples which, in the past, could take days. The drawback is that the instruments tend to be expensive, suited to particular sample types or matrices and complex in both setting up and in the interpretation of results. Furthermore the general analytical chemist may have access and familiarity with only one or two methods. Written by an international team of contributors, each experts in their particular fields, this book familiarizes analytical chemists with the range of elemental analysis techniquers, to enable them to specify the most appropriate test for any given sample. In addition, it contains important chapters on sample preparation and quality control, essential elements in obtaining accurate and reliable analytical results. Danny D'Agostino's Creatures From Calumet City!!

Billed as an audio-movie, Creatures from Calumet City!! is a 4-CD recording that traces the efforts of two down-and-out detectives against the title creature and other characters. Think of it as a book on CD, with sound effects. It's well-done. It's remindful of a better Firesign Theatre sketch, but much longer. Much, much longer.

Creatures from Calumet City!! claims to be 4 to 7 hours of comedy sci-fi thriller. Perhaps you shouldn't force yourself to sit through the whole show at once. It makes you realize how long the Creatures from Calumet City!! is, and that's long.

But it is amusing, and professional. Kudos to Danny D'Agostino for this 'full acted' audio-movie or whatever-you-want-to-call-it. It is entertaining despite its length.

As for the author's injection of authentic Italian-American flavoring, well, it's in there, but you might sneeze and miss it. Creatures from Calumet City!! also has regional humor which loses some of its kick outside the Windy City area.

Perhaps Calumet City itself is a punch line, but we didn't quite get the joke. It might be like people in Newark making fun of people from Camden?

In the long run, the adventures of Stan and Leroy Hangjab against the evil genius Dr. Stein turns out for the best, and there are some laughs along the way. The entire adventure is quite the trip without luggage.

Stan and Leroy Hangjab are two streetwise Chicago detectives who find themselves rescuing the precocious 13-year-old Richard T. McCormick IV from the clutches of the evil genius DNA scientist Dr. Stein and his mutant creature humanoids. This superbly produced, thoroughly entertaining, bluntly humorous, "theatre of the mind" science fiction story is enhanced with an electronic music score, digital sound effects, good performances, and an outstandingly written and adapted script. A four CD set with a total playing time of 4.7 hours, The Hangjab Brothers In The Case Of The Creatures From Calumet City is enthusiastically recommended for community library audiobook collections in general, and science fiction enthusiasts over the age of 16 in particular.

Would deserve a 4+ except for primary character accent.......2002-12-25

"The Case of the Creatures from Calumet City" is a wonderful mixture of comedy and science fiction. In many ways it is pretty stock science fiction with an evil scientist, a hero (or two), and an experiment out of control. In other ways it is a refreshing production. Not your typical audio book, it is more reminiscent of the old radio productions complete with various characterizations, sound effects, and background music. This is an actual production of the storyline and not a reading of a book.

The production takes 4.7 hours to listen to in its entirety. The only thing about the production that I found annoying was the accent of Stan Hangjab. Instead of relaxing and listening and enjoying the production I found myself straining at times to try to figure out what he said quick enough to keep up with the story line. Considering the quality of the sound effects and all other parts of the production, I resented having to work so hard to understand what the main character said. In a minor character role this would not have been much of a transgression, but in the primary character it is a problem.

Other than that issue, the story line was good, the production fun, and the characters well defined. It is a recommended purchase for those who find the accent natural and comfortable. Before purchasing it go to the web page at ... and listen to the first chapter. You will know right away if you find Stan's Hangjab's accent too annoying or second nature.
