Great Book both as an instructional tool and reference.......2001-10-09

This book was used in my 1994 Bachelor's program in Workforce Education, Training, and Development undertaken at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. It provided readily applied techniques for improving employee performance. I still use it today as a wonderful reference tool. I receommend this book to anyone tasked with instructional design.

Excellent reference book for developing training........1997-12-28

We used this book in out graduate program at Penn State. It quickly provides detailed information for every step of the instructional design process. It is a good text to learn about training and an even better reference book for later use.

Nifty little guide to buy before you buy your first scope.......2000-12-06

This is an appealing digest-sized guide that tells you everything you need to know before buying your first telescope. It presents the technical information you need to understand in plain English.

What's more, it's profusely illustrated and up to date. It has info on the latest scopes and the advantages and disadvantages of the different types (refractor vs. reflector etc.).

So why didn't it earn the fifth star? I wish the pages were larger. It's designed along the lines of a field guide but you're not going to read this book in the field. You're going to read it in your easy chair amidst a stack of Astronomy and Sky and Telescope magazines. In that venue a more traditional book size would be more appropriate.

Don't let that put you off though. If you're contemplating buying a good scope and you don't have a knowledgeable friend to lean on for advice, buy this book.

Gotta Love Eva.......2007-04-17

After contracting a sexually transmitted disease from her sometimes boyfriend, Brand, Eva must decide how she wants to proceed with her life. Will she be a victim of the disease? Will she be responsible with her health and that of others? Or will all have to pay for the sins of one?

Reading Eva was like watching a train wreck about to happen. You just couldn't look away. Despite some of the stupid things she did, you still connected with her character. Storm did a good job of making Eva human, flaws and all. It's a first-rate read.

Evangeline Arianna LoDolce is the youngest of four and the only girl. Her mother, Mavis, is a righteous woman, who is trying hard to instill the blood of Jesus in her children. Though her sons are abiding angels, Eva, the lone reckless child, is snubbing her mother's teachings.

With the discovery of her sexuality, Eva becomes that irresistible chick, and it's literally on any and everywhere. On the prowl for satisfaction, the word quickly spreads on who's that girl.

In college, sex quickly enhances when she's introduced to Brand. Learning that love is blind, Eva learns that Brand shares more than just his money. Opened to new encounters, Eva is still growing as she goes through a torrent of sensations, skills and sadness. Can there ever be a happily ever after for a beautiful bi-racial, bi-curious and possibly bipolar Eva?

Eva First Lady of Sin is a great read by novice Storm. I found it revealing as well as educational. I especially appreciate that Storm and Melodrama took extra care to enclose info on STD's.

Eva has been spellbound by the act of sex since she was a young girl. She knew after having her first piece that nothing could turn her from doing what she did best. Meeting her on and off again boyfriend Brand was just the icing on the cake. Not only could she have as much sex as she wanted but she could also get nice things like money, jewelry and clothes.

Even with Eva and Brand's constant breakups something always lands them back to each other. Tired of the back and forth game, Eva cannot help but fall for the one person who may just love her unconditionally. Can Eva give him all that he need and deserves? Can Eva really be done with Brand for good?

I enjoyed the fact that the author gave the main character emotions. She went from angry, sad, not caring to even caring too much. Sometimes, the author will give readers a series of characters and we never to get feel any emotions from them. I was impressed with the situations that Eva landed herself and how she was real and sometimes did not think those things out and suffered consequences. I look forward to reading more from Storm.

And The Drama Begins.......2007-04-17

Eva LaDolce is the product of an over-religious mother and an absentee father. Because of her mother's strict rules, her choice of rebellion was fornicating in her mom's house. It was through this act of rebellion that Eva got her first taste of power, or so she thought. Having sex made her feel like she had power over every man and decided to keep trying it out with various men. Soon she met Brand and settled in her ways only to find her rich and attractive boyfriend had given her more than just numerous mind blowing orgasms...he gave her an incurable disease. Eva's life from that point forward goes up and down throughout the book as she explores her sexuality and really tries to get an understanding of herself.

I give this book four stars. I thought it was for the most part well written with a few typos/errors. Although I felt that Eva was very lost and confused, I think that I really related to her in some ways. Ultimately through all her drama, all she was really looking for was a man to accept her and love her, but she for the most part just couldn't pick them. I thought that she let the men in her life degrade her and she reduced herself in many ways to just a whore. The read held my interest and it was to me written like my friend was telling me a story. While reading I was riding that roller-coaster of drama right along with Eva. And I must say the sex scenes were very explicit and out of this world!

From the awakening of Eva's sexuality, her sexual appetite has been in overdrive. Partner after partner and experience after experience, Eva's sexual repertoire only abounds. And then it happens. Liked it for the mystery not the romance.......2007-07-31

I thought the characters were rather bland, however I thouroughly enjoyed the mystery sub plot.
Lady M. is your typical Regency lady, who at first denys her attraction to the hero Nathaniel, only to succumb to his charms. Oh, she did sleep with him at an orgy 1 month before the book starts. The books title 'A lady of sin' is quite misleading, because there isn't any sizzle in her character. Nathaniel stands out more, and his potrayal as a defense lawyer is nicely done. I like how Hunter shows how out of place he would have been at that time. Also, since he is such a gentleman, Lady M comes across a bit shrewish at times, but I have resigned myself to that expectation in regency romance.
All in all, not a bad read.

Loved it! Very sensual, passionate romance with great sparks. One of my favorite M. Hunter books so far. (I've read about half of them.) I love her writing style. Her books really make me feel like I am there with her characters. She writes such vivid details about the era and surroundings, but never so much that it over powers the story. She does a wonderful job building the passion and a deep relationship between hero and heroine too. Highly recommend to any historical romance fan.

Lady of Sin by Madeline Hunter is in-depth story of Charotte a widow and the man she hates (or not) Nathaniel Knightridge. Charotte and Nathaniel have been fighting for years but have one night of sin that turns them into friends. They need to solve a mystery and over time they find love. LORD OF SIN and LADY OF SIN are spin-offs of the Seducer series.

Entertaining and a quick read.......2006-11-19

Charlotte, the widowed Baroness Mardenford, and Nathaniel Knightridge, renowned London barrister, can't stand each other. Whenever they're in each other's company, they can't resist getting on each other's nerves. All that begins to change when Charlotte shows up at Nathaniel's house to cheer him up. One of his clients, found guilty for whatever crime he committed, was hung that day and Nathaniel was content to get himself drunk to try and forget his failure...until Charlotte shows up. What follows after their usual argument is a sudden heated passionate encounter that catches them off guard.

Regardless of his sexual attraction to Charlotte, Nathaniel can't forget the mysterious woman he met at a masquerade ball a month ago. Every time he's with Charlotte, much to his chagrin, his mind drifts to that woman. As he tries to unveil this mystery, Nathaniel is saddled with prosecuting a man who is tried for extortion. The man tells Nathaniel an interesting story of a young lad whose father is a nobleman. At first, Nathaniel doesn't believe him, until the man ends up dead. Nathaniel decides to investigate the man's claims and runs into the boy in question. His first glimpse of the little boy rocks him back on his heels. Nathaniel immediately realizes that if he were to investigate further, the truth could ruin Charlotte and possibly any chances they have of having a relationship.

I think Lady of Sin was far better than Lord of Sin. The attraction between Nathaniel and Charlotte was far more convincing, moving immediately from their mutual dislike of each other to passionate sexual attraction. The story is further enriched with a believable and enticing mystery involving Charlotte's brother-in-law and what he was trying to cover up. I enjoyed reading this story. It's not my favorite Madeline Hunter book but it's passable.
