Accounting on your own.......2000-05-19

I used the first volume of this book in an Accounting class over ten years ago, and just finished Accounting II with this one. I found it to be a really good book. Our class was mostly self directed, the professor only got involved when somebody had a problem. If you have finished Accounting I and want to continue on your own, this would be a good book to use. If you are not up on your basic accounting, buy the first volume before you move onto this one.

This is a high-quality book packed with information of the north American cactus genus Coryphantha. Coryphanthas are popular plants, but too little has been written about this fascinating genus of rather spiny plants, from the US and Mexico.
This book changes all this.
The book goes in depth and shows everything from seedstructures to marvellous habitat photos! Sections on cultivation, distribution of species, and good colorphotos of all species gives you a good understanding of their biology and demands.
Important is also the information provided on the species conservation status, as several species are endangered or threatened in nature.
This book made me browse through available seed-lists to grow more species of Coryphantha!

Looking Back: A Tail Gunner's View of WWII

Is an honest, engaging recount of one's life during WWII.
This book isn't a tale of international intrigue; nor is it a compilation of military reports specifying tactics and a chain-of-command. It is, merely, an honest account of a man's lifetime during a young man's few years. Dale acknowledges; his inclination to avoid trudging through Europe, his desire to avoid emotional confrontation with his parents as he decides to actively serve in the Armed Forces, the antics of young servicemen, attitude and unacknowledged actions towards questionable moral behavior, and one's puzzlement when attempting to recall details of his airplane falling through the sky and sinking into the ocean.

A reader might expect any story of WWII to be laden with sadness; however, Dale's youthful perspective manages to recall the moments of humor that typically enable one to endure and to eventually heal. The comradeship and respect amongst the servicemen he encountered creates a heartfelt touch of intimacy to his story. In doing so, Dale brings the reader to an enlightened view of life during WWII. But I found that I could do it, and-in-the end I was very glad I did. If I had not been there for my parents, I would have missed a lot." If you find yourself in a position to care for a parent, then this is the book to read. It is an excellent book to begin to understand all of the emotions, mental and physical challenges that a primary caregiver experiences. Until I read this book, I thought I was all-alone with these feelings. I thank Fred Hill for making me feel that I am not alone anymore. This book is a must read for any caregiver. It is packed with inspiration to carry on!
