Accounting on your own.......2000-05-19

I used the first volume of this book in an Accounting class over ten years ago, and just finished Accounting II with this one. I found it to be a really good book. Our class was mostly self directed, the professor only got involved when somebody had a problem. If you have finished Accounting I and want to continue on your own, this would be a good book to use. If you are not up on your basic accounting, buy the first volume before you move onto this one.

The Paradox Process is a 'must' text for anyone searching for answers. Derm Barrett gets us thinking about the obvious so that we can find the not so obvious. Where Art Meets Science.......2003-02-15

Walter Ferguson is a wonderful and very talented artist as demonstrated by the super realistic paintings of Israel's mammals, and the icing on the cake is the scientific twist that adds clear context and descriptions of the subject mammals, their habits, habitat, and distribution. This book does a great job in combining the worlds of fine art with the disciplines of science. The book is like a small private art collection as well as a fascinating guide to mammals of a land that is not known for its wildlife.

Learning Golf Book.......2007-08-14

My wife purchased a copy this book for me last year. I have used the information to help me lower my average score 8 strokes so far this year.
My son who is also just starting to get serious about golf and also a high handicap golfer, could not put my copy down. He is bigger and stronger than I am so it was difficult to my book back! I decided it would be a perfect birthday gift for him. He and I compare notes over the phone and in peson when he is in town. If you are a mid to high handicap golfer I don't think you could go wrong with this book.im

This book is more a series of tips that a book that guides you through a complete "system" or "way of playing". Don't get me wrong, it contains a lot of useful tips, but they don't seem to be arranged into a logic secuence.

I find it useful if you already know what are the flaws in your game, and could provide you with some interensting exercices for improving.

Overall a fairly good book, but not the best out there...

This book is good for beginners. Although some of the instruction is complex and too much at times, it can show the beginning golfer how to play better golf. However, I found the following really great for showing one how to actually be a zero handicap golfer or better. This book is called:

I think the Frommer's series of guidebooks is terrific, and this definitely has more good Caribbean-specific info than any other book. But it's not as detailed or critical as the general Berlitz guide, so you should check that out too.
