The Accountants Desk Reference provides pertinent information regarding accounting rules, best practices, and financial and managerial accounting issues commonly encountered by an accountant. This book is clearly written and concise. Especially notable is the chapter on taxation and financial management. Mr. Bragg has provided information that would otherwise be obtained only though much research. This reference is a must for all accounting professionals.

This book did not give me any new revolutionary information. I especially did not like the quality of the book. Cheap paper stock, and no pictures!! Just hand drawn illustrations. Sheesh, what is this world coming to? :+)

This book explores the connections between the theory of hyperspherical harmonics, momentum-space quantum theory, and generalized Sturmian basis functions; and it introduces methods which may be used to solve many-particle problems directly, without the use of the self-consistent-field approximation. The method of many-electron Sturmians offers an interesting and fresh alternative to the usual SCF-CI methods for calculating atomic and molecular structure. When many-electron Sturmians are used, and when the basis potential is chosen to be the attractive potential of the nuclei in the system, the following advantages are offered: the matrix representation of the nuclear attraction potential is diagonal; the kinetic energy term vanishes from the secular equation; the Slater exponents of the atomic orbitals are automatically optimized; convergence is rapid; a correlated solution to the many-electron problem can be obtained directly, without the use of the SCF approximation; and excited states can be obtained with good accuracy. There are about 3 or 4 books on hiking around Mt. St. Helens and I'd rate this one as best of the bunch. Mr Vielbig covers all the trails, has good maps and provides the right amount of information on routefinding and what to see.

The book is good and is helping me teach my Grand Nephiews and Grand Nieces the etiquette of golf. I purchased each of them a Guide and they are reading it. They range in age from 9 to 15 years old.

I have seen a marked improvement in thier demeanor on the course during rounds of golf.

This is a very good book to give as presents for the fledgling golfer.

I will no longer rely on Amazon reviews to purchase a book. I bought this book because of the rave reviews and find that the book is just about worthless. I am no expert in the rules of golf but expected to learn much more from this book. If you are just a beginner it might be worthwhile.

Just the book I've been looking for.......2007-03-09

I have bought golf rules books in the past, but they were incomprehensible. This book is very easy to understand and a delight to read. The illustrations are clear and detailed enough to explain every situation imaginable. I have always wanted to know if I've been scoring correctly (I haven't), and now I know how. It's a little too big for the golf bag, but it is indispensable for anyone who enjoys the game. I look forward to using it as a reference for many years to come.

This was a delightful book and unexpectedly fun to read. The illustrations are plentiful, well thought out and make a big difference in understanding the text. The writing style is lucid and insightful as well, making this book the complete package on this subject. I learned more from this book than two other "simple" rules books and a video.

A really useful bonus is the section on etiquette. You are not as likely to be asked out with a group or have as enjoyable a round if you are not aware/do not follow the game's etiquette!

This is the sweetest story I've ever read. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, family-style story. Hoot Owl is my newest hero. I enjoyed the characters and the interesting twists & turns along the way. This story is pure joy ... I can't wait to read Ms. French's next novel ... perhaps a continuation of Johnny B. Falcon's adventures?
