The concept of a company, city, or region functioning as an anthroposphere, a living organism with metabolic processes, is now widely accepted among professionals within scientific, engineering, and materials management fields. While the traits of an anthroposphere are described throughout academia, until now there was no widely accepted methodology for applying these concepts. If there is such a thing as great "value for your money" deal in the world of MA books, than this is it! I was amazed how much information did GM Galang manage to put in such a concise and small book. It is really too bad that the hotos were not done in a little bit bigger format, or text a little bit more elaborate, but my guess is that the publisher had set some limitations regarding those issues. On the other hand, maybe that would make the book more expensive, therefore making it less of such a great deal...

This book does a decent job of describing the movements it describes you making when picking up double sticks, however, some parts can be difficult to follow.

I guess if you've already had some training in Kali/escrima and sinawali the book is okay, but it lacks in depth and is therefore not for the beginner. Also, there is a bit too much text on the author's school and his grandmasters and all that, but it's not too bad. This is more of an enhancer to one's training than a how-to.

A very helpful and understandable guide.......2006-05-05

I have had the privilege of being one of Master Rey Galang's students for over a year now. We cover many different forms and styles, and sometimes it's hard to remember the exact techniques after class has ended. This book has been very helpful in perfecting my form, and reinforcing my knowledge while training on my own. It clearly demonstrates the techniques that make up this advanced form, and although I do not recommend it for beginners as one cannot truly understand sinawali without being taught in person, it is a very good aid for those familiar with Filipino Martial Arts and who are interested in seeing some of the things we do at Bakbakan.

I have this book for intermediate students and also have the one with red cover for beginners. Initially bought this and other books to review grammar for Toefl and this was the only one I ended up using it. My friend is using the red book and that is very good for somebody who starts learning English.
I highly recommend this book for learning or reviewing English grammar. It's well organized easy to follow and understand. It covers all I was interested in to review and learn.

A good suplimental text for the serious teacher or student........2006-10-17

I am a EFL teacher, and everyone of my serious and dedicated students have either this book or Essential English GrammarMurphy's other creation).
The explanations are, for the most part, easy to understand and he supplies diagrams where appropriate. The grammar and vocabulary are of the U.K. variety but I haven't found it major problem.

To the Teacher:
If you are looking for supplemental material to give to your students as homework or as in class short pattern oral drills, then this book is definitely for you.

To the student:
Confused about how to use "A and THE"? Why is "The movie is bored" wrong? Ok It's true... English grammar is difficult but it's also important. This book explains English grammar very well. If you are a serious student, please ask you teacher if this book will help your progress.

I use this book to improve my english grammar and teach my sister. It is very valuable for intermediate up to advanced student to study this book. Inside this book, it is different from any other grammar books. Why? there are some many units that they write in their experiences to teach english for example, "even" chapter is a chapter that many grmmar book don't publish and about the "in on at" which is very special for me to see the new use of them(at age of...). The additional exercise is most practical for student from pre-intermediate to advanced. i am fluent in using english grammar. When i see this book and consult this book, it actually work best in the other books. so now there are many versions translated.
However, it has a little point to improve this book is the coverage of the context. ex, preposition is less explanation, adjective and adverb are also less. i give it 97% of the best grammar book in the world

We have all heard, or seen, the crazy world of adults dating. From blind dates to speed dating, it may all seem too desperate. But speed dating for teenagers? Mads, Lina, and Holly are back in this fifth installment of THE DATING GAME series. After the unfair events of parents wanting to shut down the website, the girls are ready to take it to the next level. Instead of having to pair couples up by using information about each person submitted to the website, they decide to let their classmates do the talking by creating speed dating. So they set up their plans at the widely popular Vineland Café, and invite kids from their school to meet and greet the opposite sex. Each person writes comments about whoever they meet so that Mads, Lina, and Holly are able to pair them up perfectly.

But the new addition to the website isn't the only thing that the girls have to worry about. Mads is definitely trying to learn to kiss her boyfriend, Stephen, the right way, without him having to pull away. Lina has to deal with the consequences when she starts to write about the very familiar couple Tess and Peter in her new blog. And the newly single Holly has to decide if the guy she accidentally met at the speed dating event is real or not. The girls are definitely back with much bigger problems than before.

SPEED DATING was a great addition to this page-turning series. Although some of the important characters from previous novels do not make their way into this story as much as before, Mads, Lina, and Holly still keep your attention. After reading this novel, SPEED DATING sounds better than ever.

Holly can't believe that her fantasy relationship with Rob is officially over, and without a good reason. All he told her was that he didn't have time for a relationship right now, and poof...it was over. Now Holly is on the rebound, and her two best friends, Madison "Mads" and Lina, are on a quest to set her up with Mr. Right. So they organize a Speed Dating Party - a time when fifteen girls meet fifteen guys for six minutes each, and get the chance to see if they'll meet the guy - or girl - of their dreams.
