A Must Read If You are Considering Gold...........2007-05-10
Kosares wrote an easy to read book that you should have in your library if you own gold or are considering gold as an investment. All the basic "how to buy" information is here plus much more. For example, The chapter titled "G is For Government Debt" is a real eye opener if you want to know how the U.S. dollar got into the mess it is in today. Reading this chapter alone should give you reasons to invest in hard assets as opposed to currency based investments. Kosares is not new to the gold market. He has been writing about gold and educating consumers about this precious metal for many years. In fact, this is the second edition of his book and it appears to have been substantially updated. Bottom line - read "The ABC's" of Gold Investing" and then read it again. There is much wisdom between the covers of this book.

Hello all, today i went out and i put my book 'The coming collapse of the dollar: How to profit from it' by John Rubino and James Turk, in top of my car, i went out and i lost that book. So i went to the bookstore right away, because investing in GOLD is a *must* !! Here are the bad news folks: The dollar and most money substitutes out there will collapse. Only gold and other hard assets will survive and grow. So if you want to have some food in the coming crisis, buy this book !! It's a question of life or death !!

Not being a "savy" gold investor, I wanted to find a book that would provide a good understanding of all the issues surrounding gold investments both for profitability and asset protection. This book is definitely worth the read. It is very informative in covering the history of gold and how it responds with inflation and deflation, explaining different investor objectives, and providing a great overall summary of how to go about investing in gold. This book has provided me the basic knowledge to begin my gold investing. Good book to have in your library.

Polyclonal antibodies, widely used in research and diagnostics, are conventionally isolated from the blood of immunised mammals. The fact that antibodies can also be detected in the yolk of eggs laid by immunised hens, led to the development of the yolk antibody technology as an alternative method less stressful to animals. Hens can be kept under nearly natural conditions and antibodies be isolated from the eggs. Further, the IgY-technology has the advantage that avian antibodies can be produced against several antigens which do not induce a immune response in mammals. Protocols on how to keep and immunise hens and on the extraction, isolation and use of antibodies from yolk are described in detail in this manual. For their work on yolk antibodies the authors received the FISEA (International Foundation for the Substitution of Animal Experimentation, Luxembourg) prize in 1997.

This is a a collection of ten magazine-like articles on random subjects (hearing protection, some gun reviews) making up 80 pages and an 80 page out of date price guide. Very useless. I highly recommend Gene Gangarosa's books. They have history and reviews of the guns.

Professor John Traupman produced a wonder book for Latinists, cross word puzzle workers, or just those who want to know a little about the Latin connection of English. It is the finest concise, small in size, {It fits in my field jacket pocket.} Latin/English, English/Latin dictionary in the world. His paradigms for Latin grammar, in the front of the dictionary is wonderful. There are no better. Essential for the Latin student, teacher, or Classicist. Valuable for those who just want to read Latin works in the original.

The Bantam New College Latin & English Dictionary provides a lot of Latin for little money. Bantam's is compact, easy to use, and gives a nice reference guide for nouns, verbs, and adjectives in the beginning. Tolle legeque, amice! Vale.
Best darn Latin dictionary on the market.......2005-12-18
I just wanted to add another vote of confidence for this marvelous dictionary. I got through 4 years of college Latin with it, and almost never failed to find the word I was looking for. I particularly appreciate the idiomatic expressions highlighted in bold typeface, to make it easy to skim down the definition to find the one you're looking for. Its only downfall is that, as a paperback, it begins to get a bit well-thumbed, leading the serious Latinist to think, a little wistfully, that it would be nice if it came in a hardbound edition. But for a mere six bucks, you can easily afford to buy a replacement. Personally, I own two.

This book had great pictures from the show but the story isn't really accurate from the episode. Plus after a few weeks the pages started to fall out.
