We can't assume that we will be able to support our programs simply because we do good work. Each non-profit has to closely examine how it is funded and how it expects to be funded tommorow and the day after. Brinckerhoff gives a great outline here on how to think like an entrepreneur and start your organization thinking like a business instead of a charity. If you're looking for pro-active means of moving your non-profit forward, then this book is a must. It's practical, straightforward and honest. Best of all, Brinckerhoff is readily available to talk to you via email from his website. If you have any questions about what you've read, you can go straight to the author for clarification.
This is a must have book for non-profit managers.

Easy Reference for Gun Enthusiasts, but has many flaws about photo.......2006-12-19

This book contains some very useful and interesting information about current tactival small arms. However, it does have some significant flaws. This book is black and white but the photos are not good. Many photos (about 40%) in this book are unclear. I had saw these photos in internet. I think that these photos are just direct copies from internet. These photos are just printed by poor computer printer and no professional treatment.
Many books about small arm are in my collection, but this one is out. I wish it will be better in next edition.

Practical Gunsmithing.......2006-03-20

I found this book to be interesting and helpful in learning how to troubleshoot, disassemble and reassemble, minor repairs and revisions/alterations of a wide variety of guns, from single shot revolvers to pistols, rifles and shotguns. It shows and describes the tools required for gunsmithing, the terminology, comparisons, how to use them and a few "tricks of the trade". I found it relatively easy to follow, even for someone new to guns. I definitely plan on keeping it for my "reference library".

Useful information for professional and hobby gunsmiths.......1998-07-16

This book contains a wealth of practical information on basic gunsmithing which will be of benefit primarily to hobby gunsmiths, although there are plenty of "tips and tricks" that will also appeal to professionals in this field. A wide variety of topics are covered, including choosing and using basic tools, blueing, trigger jobs, and general maintenance tips for a number of specific firearms. The book production is not of the highest quality, and subsequently the photographs are not as instructive as one might hope. However, the text is straightforward and not weighted down with jargon. Overall, an excellent introduction to an interesting topic.

Excellent Wiccan Tarot Card Deck for all Cartomancy Diviners & Seekers of one's Universal Awareness .......2007-07-05

I liked this Robin Wood Tarot deck very much.It is similar to the Rider-Waite standard deck in style.Yet,these cards are inherently Wiccan and more colorful in format.What i didn't like about these cards was that they have a confining border around the perimeter of the outer edges.This gives the deck an imprisoned feel that bounds the expansive flow of the images.A good example of a radiating deck is the Morgan-Greer tarot,it has no outer strip.When you lay them out on your favorite table or animal skin,the cards should outwardly transmit illuminating intuitive energy.Energy that can be easily attained from the card spread.People who use the Robin Wood tarot should also get the corresponding book.This completely explains the various changes made to the standard tarot cards.I would recommend this unique tarot deck to all,both novice and advanced soothsayers alike.

Fluffy and Uninspired.......2007-07-05

I'm sure this deck works quite well for some people. It's popular, that's for sure. It was the first deck I ever had a reading done for me on, and I've seen it everywhere (even being used by a public reader in Bangkok, Thailand). However, if you like weight and personality to your cards - this isn't it. They are well made cards and the artist's work is not unpleasing, but there is simply no character to them. The work is flat and uninspiring with no interpretive nature. Good for an absolute beginner or someone who wants to read publicly, but don't go into this purchase expecting a solid primary deck out of it.

I have many Taort decks as I read for my family and friends. But this is the one I use for myself, its always on the money. I wouldnt trade this deck for any others out there.

I have 4 other Tarot decks so I was reluctant to buy another deck but I saw these as illustrations in Anthony Louis's Tarot Plain and Simple (a great reference book, btw) and just had to order them. And I'm really glad I did. They've quickly become my "go to" deck for reading. They are very beautiful cards and the symbolism works for me. I've found that what matters more than that though is whether a deck speaks to you... and this deck speaks to me.

This is the book that I wrote about my Tarot deck.

In it, I explore the real, factual history of the Tarot (No one knows, and does it really make any difference?) as well as a chapter about the theories of the history of the Tarot in general, and a recounting of the history of the Robin Wood Tarot. There is a description of the symbolism that is common to most decks, along with a listing of the symbols that are used in the Robin Wood Tarot in particular.

The bulk of the book is a description of each card; including a verbal key to help the Reader remember the meaning, a synopsis of what the card might mean in a reading, and a complete description of what is on the card and why I put it there.

This is followed by a short discussion of how the Tarot works, how to begin to read (including a section on Grounding and Centering,) and an exploration of the Ethics of reading the Tarot.

Finally, there is a short section about spreads. (It's short, because the book quickly became much longer than I expected!)

And, in the very back, there are a few appendices which go into more detail about some of the stories and legends that are mentioned in the book, as well as a section covering the Rules of Tarocchi!

I'm still learning (very slowly) the intricacies of reading the Tarot. It seems each deck has its own unique twist when it comes to interpreting each card. Robin Wood is no different. Her descriptions are intuitive and easy to incorporate into my own understanding and technique when it comes to finding meaning in the symbols I see on each card and in life! Good stuff!

If you love the Deck.. get this book!!.......2002-05-09

For the most part, you don't need a deck specific book to learn to read tarot. Unless you have a more intricate... or as some might say, "oddball" deck, most general tarot books will teach you the subject as well as supply traditional interpretations that can be applied to most decks.

Some will even tell you to avoid these type of books.. as it is always best to use your *own* intuition and to discover what the cards mean for *you*.. While I do beleive this is one of the most important parts of learning tarot, I also beleive gaining another's perspective can only help.. It can expand on what you see.. allow you to see something new.. even at times provide that "AHA!! NOW I get it" feeling...

What is special about this book is that it was written by the artist herself. Who better to provide such insights as the person who's blood, sweat, and tears went into every drawing and symbol. .. the person who lived each card from glimpse to creation.

I've been a fan of Robin Wood's artwork for years, and I have loved her tarot in English (how better to get so much great work by a favorite artist in such a small package and good price!) for nearly as long.

The deck's images, along with printing in Spanish, make this deck an invaluable way to practice thinking more intuitively in Spanish (like flashcards, only full of rich imagery). Even the little book explaining the deck and card meanings is in Spanish, for extra practice material.

And if you just love tarot, you are probably already familiar with this deck's well-earned reputation. She put a lot of love into it, and it shows.
